  • Gosh, Sometimes it's so hard to make decisions because I get an idea of how something should look and it really messes with me when I can't get it to look the way I want. Today's video is one of those times. I did get it finished and my neighbor was happy with it, but I get a feeling about it and it lingers in the back of my mind. lol

I will always love your videos. Step by step, easy to follow, and a clear breakdown of why you make each choice along the way! So great - thanks for making them!

Nice job! I share similar thoughts on getting garment close to the original look. Sometimes it takes a little more time, but I wouldn’t be content any other way!

This is what I like about your videos, you talk through your thought process out loud, as it develops and becomes logical and useful. Thank you! Also, you speak clearly and well paced. Did you offer to fix that other little similar spot on the other side? Oh wait a minute, I just had a thought, although too late for an idea for this project. I was wondering if it could have been feasible to cut a small piece from another inconspicuous part of the jacket, to cover that little sliver of darker brown patch, although you did say he really didn’t care. Then you could add some of that brown leather to replace the little bit you took from that inconspicuous area. I was wondering, if you don’t mind sharing, what did you charge for this job? Also, I know there are regional differences in fair market prices for our kind of services. May I ask generally where you are located?

I would of put leather on both sides. The dark would look great on the canvas.

I do alterations also and I have these young guys with huge wide rips in jeans. I tell them all I can do is a patch. I guess they expect some kind of miracle. I have to explain that I do not do reweaving Love your channel.

Thank you! I don’t do reweaving either, but I’d love to learn!
