I fu*kin LOVE this band!! First 4 records are LEGEND!! Never was too wild about the "Pepper" era tho... love punk, not stoner rock. HOWEVER, I support CoC regardless. Cheers, everybody!
I remember first hearing this track on a Combat Records Sampler Cassette that I had picked up for free at the Camelot Records Music store in Lafayette Square Mall on the west side of Indianapolis, Indiana, back in 1986 or 1987.... Thanks and Cheers!
Seen C.O.C. live when they toured behind the "Technocracy" ep on September 13, 1987 in Vancouver Canada with No Means No opening (w/ their album "Sex Mad") I met vocalist Simon Bob on the floor before they played. He wanted to watch No Means No perform from the crowd's perspective. He had a tin lunch box with him. I asked "what's inside?" he said his microphone, he always keeps it with him so nobody can steal it. He said It was pretty expensive.
Saw them at the LYRIC THEATRE NYC with DEATH ANGEL NUCLEAR ASSAULT those were the days when 42st was know Disneyland the city had and edge and so did the music. So much good music from the CRO MAGS TO D.R.I. CRUmbsuckers and so on to many to mention.
I love that a lot of the bands I've Loved and seen live throughout the years are still rocking the fuck out. Death angel, Slayer (please do another show), Joan jett, wasp, I'm 50, but at these shows I live in the pit. But there is a LOT of good talent out there
36 years ago Bob Schneider of the Saxon Pub, blew the shit out of the punk rock scene, damn where the heck did it go? De evolution.......Woody Weatherman so good!
@@itsmysniff4950Propagandhi do a righteous cover of Technocracy on a split single along side a cover of Rush’s “Anthem” by Sacrifice. Great stuff. That was the point.
@@tommymartinelli6043 I have a lot of respect for propaghandi for standing up for Palestinians.. but this song technocracy was written in 1986 and it describes 2023 😳😳😳😳
@@cybergnosis244 I have the vinyl from when it came out in 86 so I am more than well aware. No need to school me on hardcore or thrash. Was a fan of CoC since eye for an eye. And yes the song is prescient, but I was responding to a comment that sounded quite ignorant. Propagandhi do an amazing job on the cover as @XX-gh9md eluded to.
RIP Reed - one of the best. Saw them in Sacramento in 1987 and that show blew me away
It has been 30 years since I first listened to it,
and today I came back to listen to this song again.

Saw them and roadied for them at Middlesex County College in Edison around 86. Meeting COC especially Woody, was unreal.

I don't have to imagine: I got beaten during that concert.
I saw them opening for D.R.I. In 1990. Absolutely brilliant!!👌

#Twitter rolled out the technocracy March 8, 2021.
One of the few bands that truly should have broke out and are talented to their core >: D
"Technocracy" that is so metal!
voivod
Jusqu'a la mort!!
Simon Bob Sinister should have stayed with them. His voice was a perfect fit.
Mage the Ascension brought me here
Nothing to do with Technocracy
Nothing they have done since comes close.
