Disturbed is one rare band in my collection. It is one of few bands that I want ALL of their music. The flow of this music tells multifaceted stories of love, loss, pain, struggle ...it puts everyone no matter where you are in life on the same level saying you are not alone....others feel your pain and you will succeed...
I have regrets that I must live with everyday for the rest of my life, but I can’t let these regrets hold me down. Neither can any of you. Rise above the mistakes and become stronger. You can take the negatives and turn them into positives. Embrace your lives.
This wonderful song (to my opinion) will touch especially those who has been abused or mistreated has a child. The words are deep and the emotions which stand of it makes me poured out the pain and the past....... I just love Disturbed!
His voice sends shivers down my back. It's so beautifully powerful, holds so much emotion, and sounds great no matter how he's singing. I love Disturbed, forever and always. Each album is just as great as the last. LONG LIVE DISTURBED!!
This is a poem, an ode to love and belief. Disturbed is simply the best rock band ever that placed their foot over the earth. Amazing, it's an abstract to hear these songs and feel the energy of Dave singing with his soul, literally.
This song has a personal meaning to me and all, and I think about it a lot. I started to write a story on it in relevance to my emotions, thoughts, and experience during that time that this song was constantly coming back to my mind. I think music is the best way to express your creativity because it is one of those things that you can have your own meaning to, and it broadens perspective to many others.
I think this song is saying that it is easier to hide your feelings and forget your past, so you won't have to remember or feel the pain you once had and no one will judge you based on what happened to you.
This plus "I'm Alive" are by far one of the most powerful songs to me after facing such horrible betrayals and breakups. I'm glad my "Monster" phase is over. I love Disturb so much :)
Sensation washes over me I can't describe it Pain I felt so long ago I don't remember Tear a hole so I can see My devastation Feelings from so long ago I don't remember Holding on, to let them know What's given to me To hide behind The mask this time And try to believe Blind your eyes to what you see You can't embrace it Leave it well enough alone And don't remember Cut your pride and watch it bleed You can't deny it Pain you know you can't ignor I don't remember Holding on, to let them know What's given to me To hide behind The mask this time And try to believe Blind your eyes to what you see You can't embrace it Leave it well enough alone And don't remember Cut your pride and watch it bleed You can't deny it Pain you know you can't ignore I don't remember If I can Remember To know this will Conquer me If I can Just walk alone And try to escape Into me
What is unfortunate is that someone with this much talent didn't write the lyrics in such a way to teach or help the average person. In order to escape the soul trap of returning here, one must leave the past in the past. One has to live in the present and not in the mind. Your mind a a good servant at best. The world is a stage and everyone plays their part with a mask on. What is important is to step outside the movie you are in and turn it off. Then you realize it was all on a screen. If you get stuck in the soul trap you will return here. Everything you need is within you... You don't need a 'spiritual guide' to tell you you need to return here for any reason. You can find your own way. If you want to find the way, listen to your soul, not your mind.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of The Night, I will fear no Parasite nor Monster, for Ten Thousand Fists are with me. The Warrior and the Mistress, they Believe me. Thou preparest Droppin' Plates before me in the presence of The Animal. It filleth my being with Intoxication; Pain Redefined runeth over. Surely Disturbed will Liberate me all the days of my life, And I will dwell Inside the Fire forever.
its reaction formation, the fact is he can no longer hold on, but is convincing himself that he can by repeatedly reminding himself, aloud, that he can. this is the last stage before you fall apart.
past perception = memory, direct perception = the present. For freedom, direct perception is mandatory. There is no other way to come into reality than to step out of the mind. It is to see life in the present not thru the past. The soul trap is to repeat the cycle over and over to be reborn here. There is something that someone believes to be true to get stuck in the loop. Until they wake up from that belief 'the illuusion' the soul trap effect will repeat itself with that soul. What i find slightly remarkable is whomever wrote this song remember, knows this.
i used to be into disturbed sooooo hard, and then one day i kind of just stopped for some reason...and then i found this song again. i would wake up every morning, pop in this CD, take a shower and get ready for freshman year of high school. this was on repeat...i love it...oh the nostalgia. thank you disturbed, im back.
Fuck I forgot how goddamn good this song was, it's been a couple of years since I heard this song, and it's still fucking amazing, and from one of the best Nu Metal albums of all time. Shit Disturbed, In Flames and LP was my way into the metal world back in the early 2000's. David will always be in my top 10 of best vocalists of all time.
It's impossible to choose a favorite song by a band as furiously talented as Disturbed, but Remember is definitely in the top ten, for me, personally! \m/ \m/
Well like the name of this album, belief and faith seem to be a central theme here. Also keep in mind that around this time, David Draiman's grandfather passed away, so I suppose its about using faith to get through the hard times. The song prayer seems to really bring out that notion if you listen to the lyrics.
It's a series of 4 books: A Wizard Of Earthsea, The Tombs Of Atuan, The Farthest Shore, and Tehanu. Altogether they make up the Earthsea Quartet. They're all by by Ursula le Guin, my favorite and a truly magnificent, sinfully underrated writer.
I just listen to this song yesterday now its an instant favorite... I cant stop listening to this song iand i listen to almost all of disturbed songs ( cause their my favorite band ) this is good to bad alot of people just listen to the popular songs this song kicks ass !!!!! \,,/ IF I CAN REMEBER!!!
I remember liking this video back in 2015. I was pretty lonesome and played the first 3 Gears of War games and I felt better. This song was a part of the songs I heard while playing Gears in 2007 and yeah. Good visit here
Lol I'm on my sisters account. So bored tonight. Listening to most of there songs. Disturbed discribes my life. I'm glad it's not mainstream down here. Only those with an open mind and a good personality can understand this. People that are mainstream here would think I have problems for listening to disturbed
Screw that-the entire Believe Album is a Masterpiece. My Five Favorite songs by Disturbed: 1. Believe 2. Prayer 3. Remember 4. Stupify 5.Indestructable
That was like her second big sci-fi thing, wasn't it? Won a couple of awards? Yeah, I'll definitely read that someday. Her most recent stuff is a new trilogy: "Gifts", "Voices" and "Powers". I finished Gifts and Powers a few weeks ago, and they're both incredible.
Disturbed is my band, that I shall always Want. It maketh me Awaken and Indestructible. It leadeth me into Darkness and Perfect Insanity. It Stupifies my soul. It leadeth me in the paths of Decadence, for The Game's sake.
Everybody and their mother wants to know the lyrics to their favorite song. If the video uses too many weird transitions, or isn't in synch, THATs when you hit dislike. If it's the song you don't like, don't hit dislike , or even look for the video, because the dislike button is for the user's work, NOT the song. There's no reason to dislike this video. Painstaking effort went into this and it shows. The song is the same no matter who posts it, but Night2000 did a great job with the lyrics.
i love this song! the thing about disturbed is that, every song is very relatable,..you got to admit its true even if theyre just feelings hidden deep inside you. we all know its somewhat true.
Well I based it off my favourite book, "A Wizard Of Earthsea" by Ursula le Guin, so that's why I called him a wizard. But in that story, the term wizard and mage are pretty much interchangeable anyway. Amazing book, btw, I can't recommend it enough. Read it if you get the chance.
Once upon a time there was a wizard. He was possessed of incredible power. All his mentors knew he was destined for greatness. But this wizard was young and foolhardy, and the praise he recieved only inflated his sense of pride. One night, overcome with arrogance, he decided that he would prove to the world his immense strength and attempted a spell far beyond his knowledge. This spell created a shadow, an embodiment of all his inner evil. The wizard and shadow both destroyed eachother. The End.
I read Flowers For Algernon. Not gonna spoil a word, but if you haven't read it and want to, even those that don't want to, I highly recommend. It's a good read. Anyways, in school we had an assignment where we had to find a song to come as close to the book as possible (by meaning and stuff like that). People were picking wierd songs (though I doubt Hurt by Johnny Cash is wierd). I picked Remember...and aced the whole damn project. Disturbed FTW!
i dot really like disturbed since i think all there songs sound the same. However, this sounds sooo different from the rest of their songs and i love it :)
Dont ever say your not human as much as humanity delends on you even with the heck i went through i came out of it only to find myself and without you being who you are i wouldnt have had a feason and yes you gave me that reason ..you are humanand humanity depends on you for your the feason to live love and laugh again...🌹🕊️🦋💞🎼

Same Here.
Well said
Stupify is a pretty shit song.
The first song of theirs that I heard had to be Guarded, followed by Overburdened and Enough.
They are an amazing band that entrances me.
This song slaps me in the feels man. Mistakes... We all have to live with, remember everyday.
Yes sir 😔
You have no idea
I have regrets that I must live with everyday for the rest of my life, but I can’t let these regrets hold me down. Neither can any of you. Rise above the mistakes and become stronger. You can take the negatives and turn them into positives. Embrace your lives.

LONG LIVE DISTURBED!!
David Draiman growls with such intensity, it's impossible not to describe him as both literally and metaphorically "beastly."
Definitely one of THE GREATEST SONGS of all time!!
Disturbed= Not human, this is just completely beast. God Bless Disturbed!!!
This is a poem, an ode to love and belief.
Disturbed is simply the best rock band ever that placed their foot over the earth.
Amazing, it's an abstract to hear these songs and feel the energy of Dave singing with his soul, literally.
Remember this comment bro!
Disturbed's music is always so soothing to listen too

indeed my dear !
+Toby Cooper facts i couldnt say it any better

Sensation washes over me
I can't describe it
Pain I felt so long ago
I don't remember
Tear a hole so I can see
My devastation
Feelings from so long ago
I don't remember
Holding on, to let them know
What's given to me
To hide behind
The mask this time
And try to believe
Blind your eyes to what you see
You can't embrace it
Leave it well enough alone
And don't remember
Cut your pride and watch it bleed
You can't deny it
Pain you know you can't ignor
I don't remember
Holding on, to let them know
What's given to me
To hide behind
The mask this time
And try to believe
Blind your eyes to what you see
You can't embrace it
Leave it well enough alone
And don't remember
Cut your pride and watch it bleed
You can't deny it
Pain you know you can't ignore
I don't remember
If I can
Remember
To know this will
Conquer me
If I can
Just walk alone
And try to escape
Into me

david has the best voice in metal for melody its just amazing disturbed is truely great cant wait for the next cd and next tour to see them again
I love the chorus! Makes me feel .... better than Christian music to Christians!!!!!!!! Hell yeah!
its reaction formation, the fact is he can no longer hold on, but is convincing himself that he can by repeatedly reminding himself, aloud, that he can. this is the last stage before you fall apart.
This is completelely true I Can Personally support this info
Yes and the gift in the aftermath is that a much more powerful force is caring for you and the universe
Must be why I play this as loud as possible and cry quietly.. I think your 💯 correct

There's just something about Disturbed. The music, David Draiman's voice, the lyrics...just purely epic.
There are no words that describe the epicness that is Disturbed....
i used to be into disturbed sooooo hard, and then one day i kind of just stopped for some reason...and then i found this song again. i would wake up every morning, pop in this CD, take a shower and get ready for freshman year of high school. this was on repeat...i love it...oh the nostalgia. thank you disturbed, im back.

One of their best.
I know its about alcoholism, but it sounds a lot like a song about alienation. Who else can feel that?
that's why i feel this song so much
maybe its about drunk aliens?
No doesn't sound like it, more depressed aliens
Really I don't know it was about alcohol TMYK
this reflects on me alot when i listen to it i "remember" how my life was before and i have to hold on just to make myself just wanna still live
I remember my first time in 1st grade I had very few friends. I agree.
but now that we stayed strong now we're better off in our life and now we got more friends to call our brothers or sisters
Excellent movie! I love the way you put " ... " in the silence! Great job!!
It's impossible to choose a favorite song by a band as furiously talented as Disturbed, but Remember is definitely in the top ten, for me, personally! \m/ \m/
The sensation of Disturbed's music washing over me...I can't describe it.
It's songs like this that prove why Disturbed are the greatest band in the Universe.
I just heard this song today, along with Hell, and I can’t believe they’re years old. They sound like they’re recent. Awesome songs.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
one of those songs that feels like someone reached in and took it out of your very own soul
Why does Believe have all of the songs that can be described as beautiful?
***** Actually no, Disturbed aint sadistic
TheJesuisunpain he delted his commet lol
+TheJesuisunpain agreed. finally someone who agrees with me.
Well like the name of this album, belief and faith seem to be a central theme here. One of their most underrated songs.
I wouldn’t say that there’s plenty out there of theirs that are totally overrated
It's underrated
David's voice is epic in every song
Thanks for sharing this. One of my all time fab Disturbed songs.
It seems like most of the Believe album has these heavy riffs throughout the song.
Love it.
thx the night 2000, always luved disturbed, always. it doesn't get better, just a shout x-cellent timing on the lyrics. good job......
This song. It Speaks to me in so many ways.
Love this song so much still to this day. Love his voice. Can relate to this song everyone can in one form or another. Beautiful
one of the best bands ever!!!
I was never their hugest fan but I can honestly say they have not yet released a bad album! This one takes me back too.
These guitar riffs are sick, trippy rhythm too.
Awesome. Found this song when listening to a 'classic rock' radio. Im totally hooked now :)
Yet another disturbed song that brought tears to my eyes
One of my favorite songs by Disturbed. i cannot wait till Disturbed comes out with a new album. HURRY UP DISTURBED! GAH!!!!
you know they are in hiatus ...
i know and it's going to take them forever but heck it's worth the wait.
Draiman is in a band called Device while Disturbed is in hiatus, you should check them out.
yeah Device is a good band but it still doesn't compare to Disturbed.
Snail Man I agree. I much prefer Disturbed over Device. I don't think Device is as heavy as Disturbed was.
This is my fave Disturbed song ever. The chorus has their best hook. I still have no idea why it wasn't a single very long, or sooner.
Such passion in this song... I love it.
Without a doubt one of Disturbed's best songs
1:44 - 2:35 Holy shit
I remember liking this video back in 2015. I was pretty lonesome and played the first 3 Gears of War games and I felt better. This song was a part of the songs I heard while playing Gears in 2007 and yeah. Good visit here
Wow, this video hasn't been deleted by youtube yet! Yay. Thanks for uploading!

My Five Favorite songs by Disturbed:
1. Believe
2. Prayer
3. Remember
4. Stupify
5.Indestructable
We all need to keep Holding Onto what we treasure most.
those lyrics... this guy truly understands alcoholism.
Caveat: these lyrics are very much inscrutable and subjective.
for me in this moment they say alcoholism.
for the next listener whatever.
Exactly. For me they symbolize my battle with depression last year.
+Noah Cross same here man, depression on top of addiction is a bitch. These guys hit it on head with this whole album.
Brian Holmes They did. But they do that with every album they put out.
FUCK YEAHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't remember living in 1969... Love the song!!!!
how can this song only have 13k watches? damn this song is awesome
Song takes me back to the Drizzt books. Fits perfectly with his inner turmoil.
So nostalgic for me, love it

My favorite song👍
Touché, sir. Touché.

the thing about disturbed is that, every song is very relatable,..you got to admit its true even if theyre just feelings hidden deep inside you. we all know its somewhat true.
This song, Remember, and Guarded are two of my all time favorite disturbed songs.
Holding On, To Let Them Know, What Given To Me, Given To Me, To Hide Behind, The Mask This Time, And Try, To Believe!!
Happy 10th anniversary!! Still listening and using your video :)
Disturbed:Remember
People with alzheimers:Oh, fuck!
This song reminds me of Ember from Danny Phantom. And this is my opinion, I think this song really fits her well in a way. :)

I have know idea why but know matter how many times I listen to this song I never get tired of it!
