  • In this video, Maestro's Musings presents Johann Sebastian Bach's famous Harpsichord Concerto, a masterpiece of the Baroque era. Composed between 1738 and 1739, the concerto is one of the seven concertos for solo harpsichord that Bach wrote during his time in Leipzig, Germany.
    The concerto is known for its virtuosic keyboard passages and its lively orchestral accompaniment, which includes violins, violas, cellos, and basso continuo. The piece is structured in three movements: an energetic Allegro, a lyrical Adagio, and a joyful Allegro ma non tanto.
    Bach was a prolific composer of keyboard music, and his works for harpsichord are some of the most beloved in the classical repertoire. The Harpsichord Concerto in particular is a testament to his genius as a composer and his mastery of the Baroque style.
    We hope you enjoy this performance of Bach's Harpsichord Concerto, and that it inspires you to explore more of the rich and diverse world of classical music.

    I was 8 years old in a small town in Turkey and was playing the game "Sid Meier's Pirates🏴‍☠" on a C64🖥. That's where I heard Haendel's and Bach's harpsicord music for the first time...
    Now, 35 years after, I'm still loving it as much as that day..🎹🎶💖

      It thank his genius music writing system. Every composer are in search of one what can be complete coherent enough to generate infinite production. This to answer any orders easily. But he was also a genius by showing us people have a voice, humanity have a voice, god have voice, emotions have voices, univers have a voice, life is rythm, and beauty appear when each one find a place.

      However old things get now a days, they for some reason become more interesting & intriguing & fascinating & amazingly impossible to do in our age of time. Well if you remove the veil of this modern age that is blocking our deeper inner senses of our purity. You will begin to see once again. Bach is one of the brightest stars that shines in this sense, without such divine music such as these genius composers, our perception of even thinking about grasping to reach that inner sense of purity will not even exist. Absolutely not, we all still have surface level of purity, but the inner side of it in most people has already been washed away & forgotten. Few people have a deeper sense of self purity inside themselves, even more fewer have even deeper the levels of it. There is only one answer to that of our age, that is the belief of God & accurate evangelistic miracles of the love of Jesus! This is the only thing that can revive everything back once again, but this will make humans become even more invited to listening to Bach with a more deeper & purer sense then before. So it’s a win win situation because of Christ revivals happening more and more over the world. So this makes the truest forms of artistic creations come back to life again & another chance for it to shine. Instead of being washed away by unenthusiastic performances eventually leading to a redundant nonsense of extinction. This is ultimately the agenda of the leftist & one world governmental order of the Antichrist. So it is good vs evil in the end. It’s God vs Satan! And after all throughout mankind’s history, artistic creations were almost always based upon this concept of the fight between good vs evil within themselves & expressing it out as a form of artistic creation. For example this concerto by Bach is definitely a fight of strict judgement & expressing a righteous anger towards the wicked ones who went too far down the path of destruction & causing others to become mislead into a very bad & evil atmosphere. Doesn’t matter what era, there always has been the fight between good vs evil within humanity! It is the absolute brilliance of the highest forms of artistic creations that can be able to express this even more accurately & so critically surreal like JS Bach himself. He even makes the kind of people understand his music who don’t have ear to listen to something like this. It is so intense that you have no choice but to fall into it & experience it on your own.

      A combination of superior craftsmanship and inspiration. But the craftsmanship should not be underestimated, it is a significant help, especially to have higher output. A lot of formulae exist in music, so it is much easier to decide where to alterate them and use them as a basis than to come up with completely new things, which by the way will not sound familiar for the listener and thus not be enjoyed that much. The balance between new and known and the "varietas" is important.

    It's such a different feeling from piano recordings. You can feel more the seriousness and splendor. The focus is at the harmony, the precision, the embalishments of trinatos. I wonder what his music would have been if he had had access to a modern piano. Oh god.

    • @ffelegal
      @ffelegal Рік тому

      @AnNWord Cook why would you say that? Given what he was able to do and explore with an organ I doubt it that he would to poorly with a modern piano. You are probably thinking simple transcriptions from harpsichord into piano? In my view some of the things he does with harpsichord is to make it shine, to push it to the limits of its possibilities. I guess he would do the same with a piano, so very different music would come out because of it. Why do you say it would be awful? Is it because you prefer the sound of harpsichord ?😊

    37:40 - my favourite 3rd movement of concerto #2 1053, so cheerful and positive, and the counterpoint is so magnificent in this one, it is amazing to start a day with it! How lucky I am to find it and be able to listen to it any time I want, what a treat! all these concertos are written in 1738 by 53-year-old Johann Sebastian, so much music he created by that time, but his creativity did not diminish at all how was it possible! Thank you my dear man, you make my life so much better!

    Все концерты играю, но самый любимый ре - минорный, думаю он был написан в память первой, внезапно умершей супруги Великого Баха, Марии - Барбары, здесь слышится, как надлом, рыдания, вздохи, поглощающая скорбь, трагичность и безысходность, особенно во 2 части Largo, однако и Надежда, просветление, молитва к Всевышнему, а также благодарение, ибо после тьмы наступает свет, в жизни композитора произошли изменения, когда он женился на Анне Магдалине, которая не только полюбила его детей от первого брака, а также была певицей, помощницей и матерью его детей... Все концерты, безусловно, прекрасны, как и вся музыка Великого Иоганна Себастьяна!!!

      @@user-jn9op7qp4o В принципе, да, ведь название "Лунная" дали его друзья, известно, что эта Соната номер 14, была написана вскоре после разрыва отношений Бетховена с возлюбленной Джульеттой Гвичарди, поэтому отсюда страдание и трагичность музыки, скорее всего для себя он мысленно в муз.отношении ее похоронил, поэтому и звучит траурно - скорбящая мелодия триолей..

    Само совершенство. Музыка - это искусство , подразумевающее сочинение автором текста и сочинение исполнителя этого текста. Без того, кто исполняет гениальную музыку на гениальном уровне, мы не можем познать, что именно сотворил композитор. Поэтому очень важно указывать , кто интерпретатор того или другого произведения. Надеюсь, автор канала исправит это досадное упущение и укажет, кто исполнитель выложенных записей. С уважением и благодарностью за возможность насладиться гениальными творениями в хорошем качестве.
