Even as a 7 year old I loved zombies and stuff, and especially this game. Watched Friday The 13th alone too. Couldn't understand why my cousins wouldn't play Mortal Kombat with me...
Games were so much fun during the Apogee and id Software era. Before microtransactions and pay-to-win. When replay value and content were important to software executives.
This is probably my favourite platformer of all time. Catchy music, varied game mechanics, challenging puzzles, entertaining level design. And oh, how I hated that cave level.
I just Googled “Windows PC game with a kid in pajamas and a slingshot” and this was the first result! Couldn’t remember the name of this game, but remembered the hours I’d play as a kid.
its feels really weird watching this, unlocking really old memories from +25 years ago when i was a child, i remember lots of the details of each level despite i played it when i was 5yo, its was really creepy
Wow, never thought i'd see this Game again... It only took a Pandemic Outbreak for me to find it, lOl... & first level has the Rise of the Zombies, funny how that works, lOl... I kept looking up Side Scrollers with kids blowing bubblegum & shooting sling shots... Nothing ever came up, scept ghosts & goblins, & Kid & his blob or whatever Games... This brings back so many memories, awesome Game... I think I beat it if I remember right...
Brings back memories... I had this game on a old windows 95 computer. Loved playing it as a kid. Is there a free download of the full game anywhere? I would love to play It again.
Thanks for the vids dude, these are games I grew up with as well! Now that your much older, do you find the game harder or easier? I always had trouble with this game lol
I remember this game being so damn hard. Just came from a video about how hard Cosmo's Cosmic Adventure was, I finished _that_ (well up until the point where you had to buy more) just fine. This? Naw.
Some of the headstones are dated 1801 - 1923, implying this person lived to be 122 years old-- I guess the thing they were going for was that they had been alive longer than the amount of time since they had died... ...and in another 25-26 years they'll be about the same.
I remember the first round and to a lesser extent the second round being easy then the 3rd being ridiculously hard, dying, and going back to the start to do level 1 & 2 again. Then the demo copy not having the other 2 levels and wishing I had it.
Has anyone done a montage music-video of this game with the audio to the original "Monster Bash" oldies song? Now THAT I would pay to see if it was done very well with respect to copyrights and all of the RIAA and ESA of course.
It takes me 25 years to see again this game, thanks for the Memories 😂😂😂

Not a problem. These games are a bit harder than I remember them being, not sure why that is. I enjoyed these games to no end when I was younger.
I just Googled “Windows PC game with a kid in pajamas and a slingshot” and this was the first result! Couldn’t remember the name of this game, but remembered the hours I’d play as a kid.

One of my first games 1992. I was 6-7 years old. Nice to see it again, I forgot that game....
That dragon at the end looks amazing, especially for DOS! 🐲
In the latest version of the game, the dragon is at the start of the level.

You can play this on dos emulator
To think this game is getting a HD re release
Man they don't make games like they use to.
I remember that I couldn't turn off the music and sfx :)
Can't make a game like this nowadays.Too much material to trigger.
Those difficulty pictures should be reversed. It should be the super weak kid with the least health and the super strong kid with the most health.
Classic! - Buy it here: www.gog.com/game/monster_bash
Where are the microtransactions though?
Why is his flag on checkpoints a Pirate flag?
He's a stereotypical little boy who has grand adventures with his imagination. All little boys at some point or another pretend to be pirates.
