Here’s an example of consensus trance and opportunity to explore- the apparent exponential increase in airplanes of all sizes. The airline industry is responsible for a massive amount of air pollution. We live on Stanford campus and the noise pollution is almost constant. There was a NYtimes op-ed on this a couple days ago. One apparent trance is how many of us ignore these impacts and keep flying. Same with the noise of gas leaf blowers. We just pop our ear buds in and go about our business. The collective has fairly clear priorities. Another trance that immediately comes to mind is how we interact with social media, projecting negative thoughts and feelings seemingly absent of self reflection. Remarkable how similar so many threads on topics like Luigi M are in tone and content. I notice that I am also projecting complaints here, and will bring this comment back to presence and gratitude.
15 minutes in to another brilliant offering from New Thinking Allowed and already stimulated enough to share here and now. Love your work. Thanks so much for all your brilliant content.🙏🏼

Thank you to both. Knowledge and information (quantity) has in many respects to the predominantly dualistic mind drowned out the quality of wisdom.
Silence, and our heart and mind connect.
When heart and mind unite true wisdom comes on stream.
True Wisdom is a transcendent quality.
Unlike the opposites of war and peace, true PEACE I also see as a transcendent quality.
A quiet or silent mind is the doorway to so many qualities. Think of that moment of awe that silences our mind when we chance on a beautiful scene or a rose as we pass by.
We spread news, I suspect it's up to the ones of us who have 'some' glimmer of insight and understanding to do the heavy lifting for others to pick up on a certain resonance.
It's easy to think that change comes by opposition when the clarity of recognition may in fact be the silent key.
Happy New Year everyone. May the new year bring a little more appreciation for the healing to be found in even a few moments of silence.

I was super impressed with the first half of this program and Julian Gresser's radical refection on how to awaken from the lull society imposes to deceive our psychie.
The second half I felt that Mr. Gresser fell back on woo woo science and traditional essences. Why a Ghandi, why a Honda- we know about feedback at every turn- what is your unique spin on it and how it can most powerfully go into changing the original recipe you were originally protesting. You were protesting, right?

AI is also not an objective entity. AI can imitate various aspects of us, but not, for example, a monk who is under a vow of silence.
Therefore, AI will not show us a path to wisdom and probably has nothing to contribute in my opinion

It'll be interesting to see the percentage of the population who can be convinced by AI's 'impression' of consciousness.
It seems only a matter of time, for example, before someone launches an AI version of CBT.

Interesting assumption. Some believe that AI can help us with our problems, such as climate change, for example, or use AI in apps to promote awareness. AI is a necessary tool because we are sitting on so much data and knowledge that we need to manage somehow. It's a tool of our knowledge, not our wisdom, so AI and consciousness, you can't imagine. Of course, this is just a personal opinion

Thanks, Emmy Vadnais, for another valuable interview. Julian Gresser is an insightful and articulate guy! I'll have to listen to this segment of NTA again to make the most of it. My dissertation was a study of psychological research on wisdom, "The Scientific Approach To Wisdom", with attention to older, traditional approaches in the West, so I can vouch for many of his statements. Much agree that the notion of fundamentally separate entities is fundamentally wrong - all things are inseparable. The great challenge of our generation (imo) is to go beyond commonsense realism and recognise that consciousness precedes the material aspect. ❤
