That Soldier isn't even a monster. He simply escaped from one of those silly gmod videos and felt like screaming at Spy. All jokes aside, I'm not that into horror games, but this actually makes me want to try it out. I particularly like the 3D sprites.

I love how goofy all of these monsters are, like how the scout’s based off of that one yeti emote if it didn’t change models, or that the engineer’s just A-posing towards you, and the fact that the Sniper is almost* unchanged, the sheer thought of snipers is already scary enough I suppose

i think they first wanted to make it an actual scary horror game and when they finished creating a jumpscare for heavy they just thought "nah, let's make it funny" and proceed to make the other jumpscare hilarious as hell
The Sniper jumpscare isn't as scary as the others. Not because it doesn't look freaky but rather being headshot by Snipers in TF2 kinda get you used to it and you just feel annoyed..
i think the GMod/SFM style of being able to deform characters has the opportunity to look really unsettling with the right expressions and distortions, and it's really cool seeing that used here in this game :D

He doesn't have a jumpscare. Demoman is completely harmless & stationary. He stands next to the gates, alerting the Medic whenever the player gets close.
I like how the (mostly) scary sounds and atmosphere is juxtaposed by the fact it’s TF2 characters with Gmod-like proportions. I say _mostly_ scary sounds since Soldier’s one is still pretty funny.

Wait... is this an actual game? Despite the Gmod Game Over screens, this actually looks scary. Even the silly Gmod stuff actually makes the deaths scary.
I like to think that this game is based, apart from making a TF2 horror game, on how the Spy without being invisible or disguised is very vulnerable to any class, and that it is made as much as a meme as a real situation, or maybe it is my Main Spy mind saying: Fran, buy yourself a disk so you can download tf2 and addict the spy like crazy.
Something I find really interesting is that if you look in the background of scout and medics jumpscares you can see them being controlled by a physgun unlike the other mercs
I think that might just be a street lamp, but it still could be a possibility depending if they used Garry's Mod for animations, or just for the comic-like images. (As in, they *did* use Garry's mod, and therefore used the physgun for some animations between frames)
Could be something similar to cosmic clone from Mario galaxy, where they follow your exact movements, go they go, and stop they stop, so it requires some strategy to lead them to death traps or outsmart them
