Also wow the heroic proportions look so good and your lighting makes the figure look alot better than it does in person the gloves are way off from the shoulder
I'm almost always disappointed in the Legend releases... Especially when compared to the Black Series which is also a Hasbro line, at the very same price point. For some reason, the Legends line doesn't get the same level of care. They almost NEVER paint the pegs to match if they are molded in a different color. And they almost NEVER match the Color when different molded pieces are used. I just got the UnCanny X-Men Iceman and the Ice Effect is a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT color than the figure itself. They know their Customers will buy their figures, regardless of quality, and it shows.
Nice review as always, Anthony. Really enjoyed that part where you show us how it would look with the right proportions, I am actually surprised on how much better it would be with a smaller and lower head. The smaller of the details can really make a big difference sometimes. Would be cool to see those comparisons more frequently in your videos.
Hello Anthony, When looking at the back of this figure. There is the white stripe that goes from his head, down his neck, and then in between the top portion of the trapezius muscle. The part of the white stripe thats on the neck. There is the blue plastic from the disc that is in the neck. Is there anyway that could have been painted white or made white to make the white stripe completely white? I realize the the front of his neck is blue. What then would be the fix for that entire issue? Yes, I agree that there should be a neutral head.
I think you may have got an especially bad one. My wave of figures arrived today and I really like this Cyclops. I do agree with you that he needs a neutral head, I'm surprised they went with two gimmicky ones like that.
They should have given a regular head and the optic blast one, that’s it. The “pizza oven”, a way to save on plastic in the manufacturing process? Ugh. I’m happy with the Jim Lee version so I gave this one a miss. Thanks Anthony, glad I did.
Found one and it was the only one at my Target. His paint job was perfect, so I was happy. It just seems like figures with the Bucky cap will often always have some messy paint apps because of hos reused it is. I honestly don't mind the effect on the neutral head because I feel they wanted to give off that effect he has in older X-Men comic panels. I appreciate it. I would be disappointed if they just gave us a cyclops with one neutral head, so I do appreciate the thought.
I know you really don't like the ranking system, but I like it because I try to rank the figure before you do, and usually it's the same rank that you give. Makes me trust you more because I can tell that my impressions and your impressions line up :)
I agree with you 100% they could have done so much better and no neutral head is lame i want to build the og xfactor with the figure this was also one of my first cyclops
I'd probably be happy enough with this figure if he had a normal head. The lack of that is just bizarre. The mismatched paint sucks but I could probably overlook it when he's standing on the shelf, if he had a neutral head. An alternate left hand would be nice as well. The two finger salute is only useful for optic blasting poses that this figure can't pull off (and by the time he was on X-Factor, Cyclops no longer needed to actually touch his visor to blast. By the time of the All-New All-Different team, Cyclops had remote activation points installed in his gloves so that he could operate his visor without having to touch it). In any other pose his left hand looks really goofy. Unless Cyclops is opening up a proctology practice, I guess. The original Toy Biz version of this was one of my very first X-Men figures, too, so the homage sucking so bad is really disappointing.
I forgot to give my opinion about the heads, ofc they should have done a neutral head. They didn't even needed 3 heads, interchangeable visors and face plates (for different facial expressions) would have solved the problem. But that may be to much to ask from Hasbro. Is it Hasbro, is it to much to ask... Hasbro?!!!
Glad I waited & picked him up for $8 so I could have a Legends Cyclops to pose with an optic blast effect. I have the "Ménage à trois" pack, so I'm good with that for my neutral Scott.
Here's a question: How to remove the figure without destroying the card? I love the X-Factor design, the paint job looks decent and I paid 20 bucks including shipping to Germany. Couldn't ask for more.
I am looking to get a cyclops figure and I wanted one with the regular X-Men suit and the laser effect accessory but I heard the Mafex Cyclops is bad. Should I get this figure?
Good review as always! Saw this figure and i passed. I already have phoenix 2 pack cyclops and warlock wave cyclops. And will have love triangle cyke, dont need this guy
@@AnthonysCustoms well in my opinion it's a yes. Better paint, perhaps...but Bad Sculpt. Bad Articulation range. Poorly thought out engineering. This one has mediocre paint and that's about it in my opinion, So there it is a disagreement on the Internet, shocking I know.
Of all the x-men to screw up on, why is it cyclops? This figure should have been there "flagship" figure for the wave. Instead, Hasbro halfasses it because they know people will want it.
The problem is that real X-Men fans will buy this figure even with all the flaws, because they know they won't get another one. Why will hasbro improve the figures if we're getting them anyway?
This is definitively a reality check from Hasbro, were you thinking " Hey, Hasbro seems like they could be stepping up.", think again they aren't and here you have an awful action figure just so you don't get the wrong idea, please buy it without thinking. Maybe they want to offer us something really big... a really big disappointment. I was thinking on backing up the Unicron Haslab Transformer project, but $579.99 plus shipping and import taxes for something that may be as big a disappointment as the actual Unicron size (691,3mm), 16,5cm is a big enough disappointment for me. Thanks for your help Anthony your reviews help me to save some money, actually they do better then that, they help me to avoid throwing money away..
No neutral head makes this figure so fucking stupid. I can't believe more people are not talking about this. Marvel Legends has been killing it lately but you cannot let them get away with this dumb shit.
I really cant stand the feet they use for this mold, just to narrow and small, like they think all characters have the same size feet, come on Hasbro, and to the point with the head sculpts I don't mind not having a neutral and the one with the energy isn't bad cause why be in costume and not display your power without needing to, either way I'm not grabbing this but thanks for the review
I have gotten 2 of these so far and the paint is bad on both. The ones I have seen in stores are all the same as well. Those legs bother the hell outa me. The colors don't come close to matching.
The paint is just horrible seen several in person and all of them have bad paint applications as much as I want this figure I'll wait till I'll see him at a reasonable price that's not retail
I like your no bullcrap takes on these figures. Same old effort from Hasbro, one step forward two steps back.
Also wow the heroic proportions look so good and your lighting makes the figure look alot better than it does in person the gloves are way off from the shoulder
They've only done blast heads, yet his fingers can't reach his visor? Jeez

I love this costume for Cyclops, but I hate that they didn't have a regular head without his optic blast seeping out.

Wish our more of our favorite YT personalities would do booths/stages at Cons. Maybe a Q&A workshop on customizing?
I died laughing when you used the crunch 💀

That hand’s not for blasting, it’s for fun times with jean grey.
PIG........JK that was a good one sir 🤣
aaaaand that’s why he’s staying MOC.

4:23 that’s true I agree walking around with heat vision 😂😂
I keep coming to your videos because of the honesty. I need a cyclops in my collection and thought this was the one but the search continues
Great honest review! I’ve passed on this figure several times because the paint was so bad
Glad I waited & picked him up for $8 so I could have a Legends Cyclops to pose with an optic blast effect. I have the "Ménage à trois" pack, so I'm good with that for my neutral Scott.
hasbro, are you seeing that head comparison? 👀
It was one of my favs as well growing up. I owned the original one also. I'm getting this guy for sure!
This should be the only figure review channel you should be subscribed to,your wallets will thank you.
I agree 100%
The whole figure should have been molded in white and paint the blue
Here's a question:
How to remove the figure without destroying the card?

But I agree that it should have a normal head.
Cut the bottom of the blister to make a flap.
I absolutely love this figure he’s great. Love the sculpt around the visor
I am looking to get a cyclops figure and I wanted one with the regular X-Men suit and the laser effect accessory but I heard the Mafex Cyclops is bad. Should I get this figure?
Jordan Brown this figure is great tbh. I like it a lot. I hope we get more X-Factor figures
@@rileyjackson4743 Glad to hear
Really wanted one but not so sure now.
You're right. All they needed was the grunting head with the beam accessory and a normal head. Seriously, what were they thinking there?
From a customizer standpoint... we got new forearms and shins for a 90s Chuck Dixon Nightwing
Nightwing's name is Dick Grayson, silly.
TBH, I wasn't interested in this until they showed the Infinity Gauntlet Thanos recently. Thankfully I got it cheap.
"That's what she said " 😂
Good review as always! Saw this figure and i passed. I already have phoenix 2 pack cyclops and warlock wave cyclops. And will have love triangle cyke, dont need this guy
Another bomb review, killing it!
wish they kept the light up feature
Still better than the Mattel Justice League toys and I think those scored pretty well.
No. They had good paint. That's it. Also, they're from a different line.
I'm saying they didn't have good scores.
LOVE IT
Hey Anthony, is your website expired?
no

Great review!!!!
Can’t tell paint problems on camera
I want a Cyclops in my collection so bad...sad to know I have to wait more for a good single figure (can't afford three packs)
You saved me from buying this.
Im late to the legends line so this might be the only cyclops i might be able to get
I..I think I had this as a baby. Or something similar.
The problem is that real X-Men fans will buy this figure even with all the flaws, because they know they won't get another one. Why will hasbro improve the figures if we're getting them anyway?

I've never bought one of your customs, but if you did a neutral head for this figure you'd get my money.
I'm still neck deep in Beast heads and Gambit comes after that. Maybe after Gambit.
Espetácular figura, estou ansioso p vim aqui para o Brasil!
There's nothing spectacular about it 😅
Maybe in your free time you can make a neutral head for sale?
Darn it Marvel Legends give Cyclops Justice when creating him. 😢
hi, can you review legends shuri movie? thank you :)
Her review is coming.
No neutral head makes this figure so fucking stupid. I can't believe more people are not talking about this. Marvel Legends has been killing it lately but you cannot let them get away with this dumb shit.
Ouch that difference was uncanny
I never like the condom outfit for cyclops

i like the uniform but i hate those kind of boots so i passed on this.
I have gotten 2 of these so far and the paint is bad on both. The ones I have seen in stores are all the same as well. Those legs bother the hell outa me. The colors don't come close to matching.
I’m down to have a xfactor team
Hello
You and you paint 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️in my opinion is fine
The paint is just horrible seen several in person and all of them have bad paint applications as much as I want this figure I'll wait till I'll see him at a reasonable price that's not retail
Those blast effects look bad.
No
Can I have cyclops please
Anthony can u please do some reviews based on retro marvel or dc figures 😊
I'm getting it. I've always been more concerned with how things look at 3 feet away than they do in my hand. 🤔😏
But your arms are roughly 3ft long... I just blew your mind.
Suuure. And images on the packaging are never altered....
This review is all over the place......smh
... What?
There were so many lows and disappointments for the figure......seems like you were thrown off with your review overall...
