Great reaction. You nailed it! "that little puzzle piece the show's holding back that I know it's there" . This show is so unintentionally perfectly tailored to Reactors.
I love when all the pieces click into place in this episode. It's fun to rewatch the flashbacks and Flint/Miranda scenes from season 1 after you get the full backstory.
I'm so glad that you got it before it was revealed! At a perfectly reasonable time as well. A lot of other reactors don't realize the Thomas/James thing until the very end because the possibility of them being gay is simply not on their radar. Which is fine, but like, come on, in this episode you really at least gotta realize that something else is going on (some think this whole thing happened just because of James and Miranda's affair until the very end. You aren't chased out of a country simply for (straight) cheating) and there are a whole lot of hints towards their relationship at this point. Also I'm amazed that you still had Vanes hunting for Flint in mind, when I watched this episode I had totally forgotten about it at that point between all the Flashbacks n stuff. Nice work!
Such an amazing ep and beautiful reveal! Black Sails is absolutely top tier in storytelling! Flint said the only thing he was ashamed of was listening to Miranda and not trying to save Thomas 😭 Which is very true to his character.
Very reasonable time for the penny to drop! I think the show didn’t want you to fully put the pieces together until the talk started about “what else is going on in this house” and “something so profane”. As a queer person I had my suspicions early, mostly because of the weight Hamilton seemed to hold in between Flint and Miranda, but that can also be because I was recommended the show from all of my queer friends lol

Great reaction man, and good guess on the reveal (most people miss that).
