Accento Overdose is my favourite Xerjoff fragrance. I have a strange personal connection with that scent: when I was a child, in Italy, I saw a TV commercial where 2 kids were sitting underneath a Christmas tree and started to eat it, as the entire tree was made of sweets: the bark, the needles and the balls (which were made of what looked like an orange coloured jelly). That commercial didn't have a lot of rotation and I only saw it twice or thrice. Hiwever, in my mind I had a clear idea of what that tree tasted like. So imagine my surprise, 40+ years on, when I tested Accento Overdose and said "that's it!". And I was all the more surprised when looking up the notes I found that it contains fir balm and eucaliptus. Don't worry though, this isn't what you'd call a Chrismas scent, at all. And it doesn't smell of pine shower gel. I wear it in all seasons, especially during spring because of its fruity side. It leans feminine, that's true, but I don't care, cause in my case it was a fantasy that materialised itself under my very nose. Ps: if you're Italian and you remember the commercial I was talking about, please get in touch: I've tried to track down that video ever since I was a child.

Torino23 was f*cking horrible. I won't spoil the experience though. I own 21, 22 and 23 now; once they finish the line 23 is 100% getting sold. Original Torino was not that good, very intense woody-spicy scent & it has a bizarre furniture store vibe. I haven't rated it, but maybe a 3/10. MV Agusta (not Augusta which is a place in the US where the golf masters are played) is a hypothetical rockstar perfume, very hard to pull off with the medicinal ambers & resinous-smoky leather. Accento Overdose is good-to-great - I remember smelling the OG Accento first and that scent blows, very boring musk-driven scent with hints of pineapple. Accento Overdose has extra aspects that make it smell more green & floral. Erba Gold I'd say is superior to Pura and it actually smells like it's somewhere between Pura & SHL's God of Fire. More sugary tropical fruity, less synthetic musky mess. Golden Moka was an interesting one & was a bit surprised the pyramid didn't include cardamom as it opens citruses & cardamom before drying dark woody with dry ambers. Need more time with it, unclear if I want it. Lastly, VC1 is the only one of the 6 that I own currently and I'd say it's among Xerjoff's very best. It definitely takes inspiration from Kemi's "Aurum", but I'd say VC1 improved on Aurum's formula to the point where it smells more like a chocolatey rose with berries relative to the overdose of rose in Aurum which brings resemblance to the Intense Cafe profile. Welcome back though. I think you should wait for Alexandria II Anniversary if you're going to make an order.
I got recently MV Augusta, and all i can say is it's badass af !!! It works awsome with a blackout outfit, a badass leather moto jacket and a pair of Randolph aviators. Even though it' tough for some people, those that told me they don't like it, loved it when i wore the badass moto outfit. I highly recommend it 😌
I've had a sample of MV Agusta for a while snd am seriously considering it. Smooth leather, and I'm finding that the orris has become more prominent with some time which only adds to that. I think it's a grahrance that would dress up very nicely indeed, but I was thinking it'd work well suited 😀

Maybe one day you could make another video review of the Initio line and categorization of the fragrances into Rookie, Semi-pro, Veteran, 5-star General categories (kind of videos you do so well). Welcome back. Great episode. I haven't explored any xerjof yet! I'm meaning to get some samples at some points. Have been busy with amouage, bdk and few others. I felt its overwhelming to start with xerjof as a relative newbie fraghead. Melbourne weather has been excellent for sampling! I currently have guerlain tobacco honey on! Very potent! Very beautiful. Great to be able to test these in January!
Love 'Tobacco Honey'! Tried it in spring when David Hones first got it in. Beautiful ingredients, delicately balanced despite being heavy notes. Very different to the atandard honeyed tobacco scent and genuinely classy. Pretty sure a bottle is in my future 😃

If you're looking for a Xerjoff that runs in a fougere vein, whilst it's bot technically one (close), and might seem a left field suggestion, try out Fars from the Oud Stars line 🙂
Whilst I can’t think of any super traditional fougeres, the fragrances that are technically classed as ‘Aromatic Fougeres’ (by Wikiparfums and Michael Edwards’ Team) are: Uden (Fougere/Watery) Mefisto Gentiluomo (Fougere/Citrus) Nio (Fougere/Spicy) Regio (Fougere/Spicy) Whether or not I agree with all those classifications, those are what they are. Uden is definitely the one that smells the most fougere like to me that I’ve tried - gorgeous stuff. 👍🏻
Uden has a definite barber shoppy feel to my nose (fougereish?) Nio I don't really get a fougere vibe, but I know some do (I get a clean juicy spiciness). Perhaps oddly, I do from Fars.

Accento was one of my first niche purchases along with Nishane Hacivat, due to the pineapple note. Wanted something that wasn't Aventus, but in within that range. Talk to your financial advisor about a bottle of Purple Accento, you won't regret it. All three are worthy of people checking out. I enjoy your videos, keep up the wonderful work! 🤘

They can be found here, but there's no official retailer so obtaining samples is a hassle (I wish it were easier, as I've really liked a couple of them... 'Arrakis' is like 'Red Tobacco', but not an aggressively brain melting aromachemical overdose.

For me personally Erba Gold is pretty similar to Erba Pura, but Accento Overdose has nothing to do with the original Accento. Funny how everyone perceives things differently 😁 Love your videos!
Likewise. I can't handle the OG Erba Pura, but Erba Gold is very similar but less saccharine to me. Likewise, Accento and Overdose are completely different to my nose. Accento is heavy and cold weather, whereas Overdose is fresher, more floral, and would wear well in the heat.
Watching Mate talk while drinking my Mate 🧉. On my skin Accento is leaning a little feminine and kind of soft, gave it to my wife and it smells divine off her skin 🥰
Also, would love to see you review some M. Micallef, if we could get it in Australia…I have been hoping for years, but it remains elusive. Another house I’d love to hear your opinion on is Lorenzo Pazzaglia, apparently they have some divine beast-mode vanilla fragrances!
I recommend it wholeheartedly. It's lovely in the cool weather. It's one that got me chased down the street by a random person last year, so beware that it's an attention grabber.
Via Cavour's definitely a winner. The oud and the rose occasionally peeking their way out around the gourmandiness is good fun. I've had it for a couple of yearsish now and have found it to age well once open.

Got all of the 'Torino' now 🙂 (Torino, T21,T22 and T23) , don't like MvAgusta, my latest purchase from Xerjoff is Erba Gold. Started last year with Xerjoff/Naxos and ended with 19 bottles that year.
Boom Baby!!💫 Thank you Cara👊🏽 I find that in Dolce Amalfi the quince note is very playful/sweet/bubblegum like. If you like fruity, then this is a winner In Via Cavour, it's more subdued by the Dark Chocolate note; the sweetness has been toned down but still fruity. For me Dolce is a awesome summer/spring happy fragrance. Whereas Via can be an all year round fragrance Hope that helps Cara. I would recommend you test side by side (one on each hand) and see which one 'sings' the best for you💫

The first time I sprayed Torino22 I wasn’t sure how to feel. It reminded me of the smell of tennis balls 😂 But today, in the midst of giving it a full wearing, I love it! This may be full bottle worthy! Side note, Zaharoff recently released Signature Black Rose. I’d love to hear your take on it!!

As I have both the Xerjoff "Accento" version and the Sospiro "Accento Viola" I didn't see the need to get another one with Overdose Having said that, if you feel that Accento is wearable for a man; then Overdose will be no problem as OG is a lot more floral Sorry that I couldn't be of more help on this! I just purchased erba gold today cant wait for my bottle to arrive and I got Initio rehab from saks yesterday not better than side effect but damn its close both are masterpieces and I own Naxos this is my 2nd bottle of Xerjoff my niche collection is getting up there I own 20 bottles spread out between creed Initio PDM Nishane Xerjoff my only designer I own is YSL Y le parfum I gave Dior savage to my 10 year old

Accento Overdose is so underrated. The jasmine and Bulgarian rose in the drydown is truly divine and what I would imagine heaven would smell like lol
Torino 21 is still my favorite between 21 and 22. I was wondering if anyone knows if there's a Xerjoff fougere, and what it is
If you're looking for a Xerjoff that runs in a fougere vein, whilst it's bot technically one (close), and might seem a left field suggestion, try out Fars from the Oud Stars line 🙂
Whilst I can’t think of any super traditional fougeres, the fragrances that are technically classed as ‘Aromatic Fougeres’ (by Wikiparfums and Michael Edwards’ Team) are:
Uden (Fougere/Watery)
Mefisto Gentiluomo (Fougere/Citrus)
Nio (Fougere/Spicy)
Regio (Fougere/Spicy)
Whether or not I agree with all those classifications, those are what they are. Uden is definitely the one that smells the most fougere like to me that I’ve tried - gorgeous stuff. 👍🏻
Uden has a definite barber shoppy feel to my nose (fougereish?) Nio I don't really get a fougere vibe, but I know some do (I get a clean juicy spiciness). Perhaps oddly, I do from Fars.
I have Accento, Accento Overdose and Purple Accento. Purple Accento is magical ❤

Accento was one of my first niche purchases along with Nishane Hacivat, due to the pineapple note. Wanted something that wasn't Aventus, but in within that range. Talk to your financial advisor about a bottle of Purple Accento, you won't regret it. All three are worthy of people checking out. I enjoy your videos, keep up the wonderful work! 🤘

They can be found here, but there's no official retailer so obtaining samples is a hassle (I wish it were easier, as I've really liked a couple of them... 'Arrakis' is like 'Red Tobacco', but not an aggressively brain melting aromachemical overdose.

For me personally Erba Gold is pretty similar to Erba Pura, but Accento Overdose has nothing to do with the original Accento.

Likewise. I can't handle the OG Erba Pura, but Erba Gold is very similar but less saccharine to me. Likewise, Accento and Overdose are completely different to my nose. Accento is heavy and cold weather, whereas Overdose is fresher, more floral, and would wear well in the heat.
Watching Mate talk while drinking my Mate 🧉. On my skin Accento is leaning a little feminine and kind of soft, gave it to my wife and it smells divine off her skin 🥰
Also, would love to see you review some M. Micallef, if we could get it in Australia…I have been hoping for years, but it remains elusive. Another house I’d love to hear your opinion on is Lorenzo Pazzaglia, apparently they have some divine beast-mode vanilla fragrances!

I recommend it wholeheartedly. It's lovely in the cool weather. It's one that got me chased down the street by a random person last year, so beware that it's an attention grabber.

Via Cavour's definitely a winner. The oud and the rose occasionally peeking their way out around the gourmandiness is good fun. I've had it for a couple of yearsish now and have found it to age well once open.

Got all of the 'Torino' now 🙂 (Torino, T21,T22 and T23) , don't like MvAgusta, my latest purchase from Xerjoff is Erba Gold. Started last year with Xerjoff/Naxos and ended with 19 bottles that year.
Followed 🤞. Also which one do you think has a more pronounced Quince note in the opening, Dolce di Amalfi or Via Cavour?

I find that in Dolce Amalfi the quince note is very playful/sweet/bubblegum like. If you like fruity, then this is a winner
In Via Cavour, it's more subdued by the Dark Chocolate note; the sweetness has been toned down but still fruity.
For me Dolce is a awesome summer/spring happy fragrance. Whereas Via can be an all year round fragrance

I remember asking you about your opinion on Musk Pallace some time ago and I was sure that you will love it once you try it. I got my bottle of it yesterday and will be in rotation with Silver Musk from Nasomatto...they are so similar and yet so different, I guess this is the magic of niche perfumery.

SOTD is Torino22 from a Xerjoff discovery set I received for Christmas. The first time I sprayed Torino22 I wasn’t sure how to feel. It reminded me of the smell of tennis balls 😂 But today, in the midst of giving it a full wearing, I love it! This may be full bottle worthy!
Side note, Zaharoff recently released Signature Black Rose. I’d love to hear your take on it!!

Vert different scents. I have, and love, Lamar. Accento overdose is more overtly floral and less playful.

I don't own Accento Overdose (other than the test that I did here in this Mate Talk) so I haven't given it a proper run. As I have both the Xerjoff "Accento" version and the Sospiro "Accento Viola" I didn't see the need to get another one with Overdose
Having said that, if you feel that Accento is wearable for a man; then Overdose will be no problem as OG is a lot more floral

I just purchased erba gold today cant wait for my bottle to arrive and I got Initio rehab from saks yesterday not better than side effect but damn its close both are masterpieces and I own Naxos this is my 2nd bottle of Xerjoff my niche collection is getting up there I own 20 bottles spread out between creed Initio PDM Nishane Xerjoff my only designer I own is YSL Y le parfum I gave Dior savage to my 10 year old
