Hello! Black powder has a corrosive nature, so it is not recommended to leave it loaded for longer than a day. After that, the powder will begin to corrode the barrel or cylinder it is in. The best recommendation is to unload any charge at the end of the day.

There is always a chance of chain firing if you don't put some lube in front of the ball after loading and before firing.

So I'm a newbie are you able to load it all up and let it sit for a long period of time for like home defense measures
