The only mechanic in the world actually working on an authentic Offenhauser midget car chassis. Suzy's camera work remains outstanding. I love listening to Ivan tell stories about back in the day racing. Still interested in knowing if you ever knew or met Colin Chapman or Lola car designer Eric Broadly? Maybe when you are sitting in your easy chair in front of the model steam engine (my family were all railroaders) you could tell us some fabulous stories.
The Ivan, Suzy and John show just gets better and better, what a team! Can't fault the work on the Offy, making it useable is the best thing that could happen, English people need to see it out and about in the shires
Well ‘Nice, strong, Bird: well done!! The pair of you make an old man laugh! The version of the SU is interesting as I thought Ivan might have gone for the original H2.
Wow quite a whirlwind episode! You chaps are so busy bringing us all these varied motoring delights. Ivan, I think you've got a terrific plan there to turn the Zenith into an outfit! Lovely honour to see your Caruso Midget in the Trust, well done! All the best and I am looking forward, as always to the next adventure! Cheers to Suzie for spectacular production & filming. Paul 🤓
Have you thought about a cable actuated hand clutch actually on the shift lever? You could then have plenty of room for a right throttle pedal and a left brake pedal.
27:41 Starting without a clutch is the hard part. When they come into the pits after a race , they feather the throttle , bump the in/out box into neutral and coast into the pits. No problem at all - it is always easy to get out of gear into neutral
Kurtis offered that car with a parallel torsion bar rear suspension. The cross bar rear was a later modification. Some cars used parallel torsion bars front and rear. There are several detailed books on the KurtisKraft midgets.
I love waking up in the morning to a new episode. Grab a coffee, call the dog to snuggle and enjoy watching Ivan and Susie. I too would like to buy a t shirt or two.
Thank you both for the tour about the workshop and events. I love to see the progress on the various projects. BTW, what happened to the TVR? I've watched every episode, and do not recall anything about the disposition of that car. It was interesting--but of course a bit out of place in the realm of vintage autos that is your garage. Still, could you please just drop a mention? Thanks again. Please keep up the good work.
My favorite channel on UA-cam just brilliant. I saw the Norden LA CAL moniker on the Offy steering gearbox, not the same as the bombsight is it? Suzie is one in a million (or more) cheerful, mechanically knowledgeable, long suffering, enthusiastic, cinematographer, editor, and probably cooks well to boot. We love here along with John and Ivan. Thanks for all the enjoyment you provide.
As usual, great material. As others have mentioned, great work by Suzy! Ive been a shade tree menchanic for 50yrs and would love to apprentice under John or Ivan for a bit to learn something.
You should watch the sidecar outfits racing here on the Isle of Man TT circuit.....really frightening stuff with the average lap record speed now up over 120mph 🤪
Before they used pushtrucks, they would pull the car with a rope from the truck loop it around the front axle to the driver. Car would start, driver would let go of rope.
There are a lot of t-shirt companies in the US who would be happy to make your shirts and ship them locally You can mail them a packet of Ivan signed certificates of authenticity one of which they could include with each shirt.
Fantastic!! ..Thank you for sharing such awesome information!!..I am starting a build of a 1928 Morgan/GN RIP Killer 3 wheeler with 4 wheels... I am making a restomod here in the states with a BMW opposed twin and the power plant connected through a hand cast aluminum adapter to an MG 4 speed manual gearbox and then to an MG differential with those awesome spoked wheels...Here is the original I am using as the inspiration. I will be putting the videos on UA-cam....ua-cam.com/video/W9QMa7AUD-4/v-deo.htmlsi=VNjl-O6WcFjTpauk
For those that want T-shirts please use the email address given at the top of our channel with the channel details. We don't have an online presence.

Thanks Suzy and Ivan for the effort and entertainment!!!
You always apologize for the bitsa programs but the magazine style is my favorite. The amount of work you get through Ivan is amazing.

I've been wondering about that too.A motorcycle hydraulic cylinder may be easy to use compared to a 3rd pedal.

John's reactions are a lot like, "Garbo speaks!"
Thank you Ivan, Suzie and John for the update!

Trialling, the last real cheap amateur motorsport. Let’s keep it quiet 😊
You need Suzy as navigator so you can concentrate on the driving.
Again . Enjoyable and brilliant, thank team
At my dad's auto parts store in the '60s we used a lever action shock as a door stop, thought that was all they were good for, haha.
Another superb episode of Shed Racing. I'm really looking forward to the Zenith sidecar project. Thanks alot, Ivan, Suzy and John.
Always an adventure with old cars! Enjoyed the ride along in the Salmson :^}
As usual, great material. As others have mentioned, great work by Suzy! Ive been a shade tree menchanic for 50yrs and would love to apprentice under John or Ivan for a bit to learn something.
Lots going on team! Looking forward to the Zenith Combination project.
Marvelous as always . Very good girls and boys. More trials please.

@@johna1160 Ivan is so trendy.
Hi Ivan, The steering rack has 'Norden' cast into it. Is this the WWII Bomb Sight manufacturer?
👍🇦🇺
You crack the customs problem my not voting BREXIT LOL "Welcome to the BREXIT Sir" very funny!
Chopping oof the back end create something like a Morgan barrel back trike.
We don't mind bitsy
Were can I buy a tee shirt from please
Instead of a clutch pedal, try a clutch handle on the midget. The big dirt champ cars use a handle.
Can't push start a car whilst filming it? Suzie the Slacker!
Y’a need to have a meeting at your pile every year called Ivan’s autodrome you build it and they will come
There are a lot of t-shirt companies in the US who would be happy to make your shirts and ship them locally
