In 6 minutes?.... "all" I need to know? I don't know everything about this bread but it would take days to tell all I know. When you say "firm" hand it can interpreted as dictatorial and overly strict which would lead the training rough and would compromise the trainee. No, they are not aiming to please, they are working dogs - they aim to work with you and they are extremely result oriented which we misinterpret as aim to please. They are way too smart to be that kind of "person". I liked you said that harsh treatment would draw back the training. I can say one thing " this breed is not for insecure, undecided individuals and he is not for beginners either". If you read about Akita you'll have a better understanding about the psychology of this unparalleled, unique breed. I used to say "If God has a dog in heaven it certainly is a GSP." And yes, you don't need to be a hunter to keep a GSP happy and productive but you need to engage in his life and need to active. This is an Off-Leash breed by excellence, meaning: a walk on leash, twice around the block two times a day will not do the deal for him. You'll have to find the way to let him off-leash at least once a day and practice "apport" and "seek". This is not a dog for lazy, comfortable sedentary people; once you had a GSP you'll never be able to love quite the same any other.

In your 'TOP 10 GUNDOGS' video (Comments are turned off) you didn't even mention the German Shorthaired Pointer, however, you ranked the German Wirehaired Pointer as your number 1 gundog breed whilst only showing photos of the German Shorthaired Pointer! That's a bit of a school boy error - they're not the same breed!
