My goal is to watch anime without subtitles 😆
Update: I can now watch anime without subtitles but still such a shame because I stopped learning how to read and write Japanese due to laziness so "You" who read this keep going man even if you feel like you don't want to study take it easy watch like 5 mins of lecture every day is enough. Don't be the same as me who stopped learning and regretted the time that I wasted.
Hehehe I can finally watch Japanese vlogs and podcast without subtitles😎 but still can't write🤣
Me too😄

Same here
Isn’t that everyone’s goal?
same bruh
Btw guys, konichiwa is formal so don’t really use it around friends. In the mornings just say “Ohaiyo!” which means good morning in casual Japanese. Guys can use “Yo ___!” to greet friends, not rlly used by girls though. Everyone can say a casual “A, ____!” to greet friends at any time of day.
“Gomen nasai” is the formal way to say sorry while “Gomen!” Is used in casual Japanese.
“Oyasuminasai” is the formal way to say good night while “Oyasumi!” Is used in casual Japanese.
“O genki desu ka” is the formal way to say how are you but casually, you just say “Genki?”
“Sayonara” is the formal way to say goodbye and if said to friends or family, it is seen as “Goodbye forever…” so a casual way to say it is just “bai bai!”(bye bye!)
Hope this helped! Keep learning!
thank you for sharing!!
Appreciate it.
Cool!
I'll add to the goodbye thing, you can also say "Jaa ne", "Jaa" or "Mata ne" Mata ne is like a "see you later" or "later" for casual conversations with friends, of course.
Thank youuu 🎉

Very nice
My brother studied languages at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center in California. The pace of study was intense. Students had to master the language course in 36-64 weeks. Psychologically it was very difficult, but fortunately he was helped by Yuriy Ivantsiv's book "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages”. The book " Polyglot Notes" became a desk book for my brother, because it has answers to all the problems that any student of a foreign language has to face. Thanks to the author of the channel for this interesting video! Good luck to everyone who studies a foreign language and wants to realize their full potential
I love Risa sensei, she's so gentle

i knew most from anime🤣
I started learn yesterday for HS, and I'm so excited to be able to speak Japanese. Are you still learning Japanese?
@@Bethanywi i do ,its so fun and it keeps getting more fun . Altho i was afraid of kanji and i kinda still do but i realized if i learn 5 per day in a year i will memorise 1800kanji wich is very nice
@@tsi_bikelife I am first learning hiragana and katakana before I learn kanji. I am am also just focusing on sentences.

I am a member of a Japanese team, and they tried to make me learn Japanese, but now they all started speaking fluent English.
I love watching these videos. They help me to learn new languages so much quicker and fun too.
What an excellent teacher and so pretty with a beautiful voice!
I appreciate the hiragana above the kanji, it’s helping me learn kanji along with the phrases! Thank you!
It is customary in Japan to do that to be polite. But at times they ignore doing that. They small print of Hiragana clues are written above or to the right of the Kenji which are adapted from Mandarin with some modifications. But in some cases the character looks and means the same as in Chinese. Water 水 is called mizu in Japanese and 水 is called Shuǐ in Chinese. Same with telephone and thousands of other words. In some cases although the character is the same the meaning is different in two languages. That makes things tricky.
Those little hiragana symbols actually have a name! They are called furigana
Wait I’m really confused… is kanji the one that’s in the big letters or the small ones above the other letters?? Cus I’ve been taking lots of notes and I don’t even know the difference between hiragana and kanji so idk if I’m supposed to learn both :(( help me
@@Nagitos.Boytoy yes you are supposed to learn both. Kanji is the big complicated letters like 弔 and they are just words. Every kanji is a word and some even have multiple meanings. Hiragana is used in between words for things like to, from, or extremely simple words might be written in hiragana sometimes. It can also be used on top of kanji to help people understand how the kanji is pronounced (in this case it's called furigana). Hopefully that helps let me know if it didn't
@@gurvirsingh963 Tysm! One more question, which one is more commonly used? Furigana or kanji
Ive watched this video like 20 times, Risa sensei's voice never gets old

This is a great video. I used to be able to speak Japanese 20 years ago and I'm leaving for Japan a couple days. For the last 20 years I've been living in Taiwan I'm in American so I'm trying to get some Japanese into my brain when I go visit my sister.
I love living in Japan I lived in utsunomia
Sayonara is only used for when you don’t know if ur going to see them again or when u wont see them for a while, the best one for a casual goodbye is “jaa, mata!”
Thanks
demo and mata ne are more popular, sayonara is breaking up with the lover
This lesson is very helpful, I can learn new more phrases and memorize new kanji easily💖
Thank you so much Risa for the lesson 🙂
Thank you! This helped me a ton. I am currently studying Japanese with hand books, so this helps a ton to hear it pronounced, because I’m not the best at sounding things out.
I' m Brazilian and I really liked this amazing class. Thanks! Arigato!
Whoa. She usually bubbly and laughing. They holding her down big time in this.
The cutest teacher I have ever met. Thank you very much Risa 🌼
Fantastic Video, Fantastic Class, Fantastic Teacher. Japanese is a very nice language. I am extremely happy that I am able to learn this wonderful language. God Bless You for your wonderful initiative. To teach Japanese to us.
That was nice idea to include those Japanese words in sentences to have better understandng. Risa san seemed bit uncomfortable in this video. Hope she is better by now. Arigatou :)
Usually I would mess up trying to say something in a different language but since she is pronouncing it out really slow helps me a lot. Risa is great 😊
Great

Her facial expressions and the example sentences help so much!!
She is a great teacher for beginners ❤

Im a native spanish speaker from Mexico and in my opinion Japanese seems to be the easiest asian language to pronounce the words. Doesn't have that many hard accents that rest of Asian languages have like Vietnamese, Thai, etc.
I want to learn Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese and Russian.
May your wish come true..
brilliant teacher.. teaching very clear
Thank you for taking the time to put this together, it's good for listening in the car hearing the words and seeing if I know what they mean.
Thanks for this. I'm at the very beginning and looking forward to learning more.

Just a little tip, some words should be used in a specified context. For example, saying hello should be dictated by the time of day. こんばんわ (Konbanwa) means good evening, is meant for when it’s getting dark. こんにちわ (konnichiwa ) is used most generally and best for noon and after. おはよございます (Ohayo Gozaimasu) means good morning, and of course meant for morning time. When you’re saying bye, it’s really best not to say さよなら (sayonara) when it’s casual, as it’s like saying farewell, a permanent goodbye. Instead of sayonara, just saying ‘Bye Bye’ works just fine too.
that's one of my biggest complaints with japanese lessons. they teach direct translations too often which aren't really how the words are used in real life. the way it's taught you would think it's so common, but in 4 months of living in japan i have never heard someone say さようなら
Old comment but thank you. I thought this was too simplified.
Thanks you so much for your information
