video two of basic vocab down, 41 to go lol. Love having Risa as my Japanese Teach. Been studying Japanese for about almost two months now. She has made Japanese easy imo. Funny thing, I subscribed to their Frenchpod101, Germanpod101, Chinesepod101, Spanishpod101, Russianpod101, Hungarianpod101 channels. I am shocked they have so many channels dedicated to helping us folks learn languages. I think after a year or 2 of getting Japanese basics down ( depending how quickly I learn Japanese, but am not in a rush ), I am gonna move to Chinese probably. I wanna learn the hardest languages for an English speaker first xd. Do or do not, there is no try.

Thanks so much Risa, learning Japanese is my passion. I’m waiting to travel to Japan till I learn some passable Japanese. I’ve no idea why…but I thought and/or felt like learning another language. I’m not sure why Japanese because NO ONE speaks it in the southern U.S. At least not to my knowledge. But, I think it’s a bit easier to learn for me because of the timing aspect of it. Mainly because I’m a musician. I surely appreciate them slowing the word down & how to properly pronounce it. This will be an interesting challenge. Maybe one day…when I’ve money & have overcome my overwhelming fear of flying…I might go to Japan! That would be fun!

It's common in Nihongo. If a character is put on the another place other than first place, it changes the pronunciation. For example: the kanji character for mountain 山 has an onyomi "SAN" if it is place in the second place like volcano 火山, it would now be pronounced as "kaZAN" Hope this will help you 🤟
