THANK YOU!! ✌️👑
loving that TKOR is going back to its roots
Finally
Agreed
Me too!!
Now we need them to collaborate with Jorge Sprave. He knows his stuff about slingshots.
I was about to say the same thing 👍
This is the kind of content I missed from TKOR
Exactly!
So fair
First order of business… let’s make weapons. Nailed it 😊
I’ve got my priorities! -Jarom
This channel went from “let’s talk about clouds and our feelings” to “let’s build weapons for children” and I’m here for it.
We are so back.
“Won’t somebody think of the children?!” Jarom raises hand…
I can finially resubscribe. TKOR hasn't been the same since Grant pass. He was my hero. He wasn't afraid to get dirty nor was he afraid to go to the absolut limit for science. He had my repect and admiration for years and i enjoyed each and every one of his videos he posted. Long live THE KING OF RANDOM!! And to the New era as well. I Believe this young man will continue Grants legacy doing what he loved not only as his friend, but has a fellow pionner.
I freaking love you! Thank you! -Jarom
I love our new host. You could tell Nate and Cali tried to honor how Grant did his show, I liked them, but it just wasnt the same. Grace wasn't bad but took the show in a direction that felt nothing like what Grant had done. With Jarom the show feels a lot more like what Grant did and it's awesome again. Thank you.
You might be my new favorite person! -Jarom
Jarom is doing an amazing job! Keep it up Jarom!
I’ve got your back!! -Jarom
Dangerous, Stupid, Fire, This is what this channel is about LOVE IT!!
This video made me go through years of memories with TKOR. I went back and looked up videos from 4-5 plus years ago. Cried. Laughed. And remembered. I'll see you in the great beyond my mentor.
This is what I came to TKOR for in my childhood, thank you for bringing this channel back to it's scientific and creative start, this is bringing back it's humble, yet great beginnings
Welcome back!
So, I watched the video and I had an idea of how to make the video feel a little more polished.
The way to do this is when you're doing the distance tests, and even the power tests would be to show a shot or two over the shoulder, showing the cause and effect of the ammo.
By doing this you help make the launcher feel like it has way more of an effect on the world. I'm all for still using the close ups as well, I'd just like to feel the impact a little more.
All the best for the future and I hope this helps and or inspires you when you're doing other projects 🙂
Solid advice. Thank you!
Going back to the roots. I’m loving the new host, seems to be capturing everything that grant did when he hosted the channel!!
I love to hear this! -Jarom
I always come back to check this channel out because it's my childhood. I thought I'd come back to mourn it's downfall again but I'm so happy that videos like this are out again!
*THIS IS THE STUFF THAT MADE TKOR FAMOUS*
Yeah, I haven't even watched the video yet but I'm already excited to and will probably view it a few times. 👍
Thanks 😊 TKOR
potato cannon would be a cool continuation to this, maybe trying different fuels and projectiles?
I like
It’s already on the list! -Jarom
Okay, I'm listening
Right?
Thanks you for reviving this great channel.
Man this put a smile on my face. Love to see that this channel is going back to where it shined. Keep it up!
Glad you enjoy it!
This is what I missed from TKOR! More of this content and more! And may Grant’s memory continue to live on in great projects like this!
Just bring back the “so here’s the basic idea” sketch
i love how you r like grant
JAROM - please dress up as Heath Ledger's JOKER next halloween and do some sort of Batman project
😂😂😂 ok, that’s a reasonable suggestion… -Jarom
@@TheKingofRandomjust that you bear a close resemblance and if you tie it to an awesome project the video would probably go viral. best of luck
Yessssss! Good content again!!!! Definitely missed it!! Thank you!! I feel grant's spirit in this video and im SOOO happy for it!!! Keep it up!
I hadnt enjoyed a video from TKOR in a looong time. Thank you
More to come! Thank you for believing in us again
I know these videos lately have been flooded with “finally this feels like TKOR” but it’s so TRUE, these videos feel like the grant videos I watched as a kid😢 ugh the nostalgia the new direction TKOR is giving me is so great
You’re flooding my heart with all the feels!! -Jarom
This is epic! ❤
love that tkor is making lethal weapons again
Yes!! We are so excited to see this kind of content.
Awesome job! Bringin it back!!!
I’d love to know the fps of that thing. Also, I’m positive you could come up with a more stable round of ammo. Great vid though.
Looking back, I realize I had all the fixings to make one of these in my dad’s garage when I was a kid. Pity that I was more into books.
Could you guys also try and do more sciencey projects as well that grant used to do? Also glad that TKOR is going back to do things that grant did. Ever since grant passed, I've remained subbed but never watched cause the content wasn't the same anymore. This is the first TKOR vid since he passed that I willingly watched. Hope you guys do more diy science projects like he did.
I miss Grant and he is who brought me to TKOR, I love Nate and Cali too they kept that feeling in the show, Grace was bubbly and happy and went a dif direction but still was good, now we are back to the TKOR I loved. Good Job.
So glad TKOR is getting back to its roots!
TKOR is coming back!!!
I can resubscribe again, legit my first video I watched was Grant building that pvc blowgun 😅 I’m glad to see you man, and can’t wait to see where you will go with this channel
That was awesome, Jarom!! You're a natural!! ✌️
Thanks so much!!
This felt more like going back to it's roots. Love it, reminds me of the peg guns we made as kids.
I haven't been happy when I saw a TKOR upload in a long time. You've made my day, thank you.
This was a fun one. I haven't seen this channel in a while. Good to see it still holding up well
This is amazing, very well put together and very easy to follow.
Could you use alcohol to make like a pistol because I seen videos how to use it, like muskets back in 1700s or 1300s and one of the youtubes the super dads on UA-cam make some, could it do the same?
the og TKOR
Heck yeah!!!ALL ABOUT IT ❤
This is something Grant would've made. Yet you are taking it in your own spin and it's amazing!
I'm kinda getting hooked into woodworking recently with lots of pallets around in my house. And I'm planning to make benches since Lenten season is near and there will be visitors.
But UA-cam recommended me again back to this channel. Okay ... better make some toys for my nephew ... or for me.
and tkor is rising again.
Absolutely!
Finally feels like TKOR again!
And with that, a return to form!! I love these projects, dangerous enough that I probably won't try it, but easy enough that I could if I wanted to
This is awesome!!!!
Jarom, you are the best! Time to resubscribe❤
Grant would be proud to have this content on his channel!
Finally the real justice this channel needed
FINALLY, THIS IS WHAT TKOR WAS ALL ABOUT!
I am so happy to resubscribe to this channel again!! I missed it. Nate (and Callie) tried so hard to keep Grant's legacy alive, but when the manager guys were just looking to make money - they ruined Grant's original vision, which is why Callie and Nate left and the channel just died over time. No shade to Grace, but she was hired in at a very different time for the channel so I don't blame her at all. Jarom - I am looking forward to more videos from you Keep up the AMAZING work you're doing.
This feels like Grant's videos I used to watch in high school. Contrary to popular opinion, I liked Grace's energy and I hope she's doing well now. Glad you guys didn't give up and took feedback from fans
Loving the rebirth of this channel
Finally, some content i want to watch again on TKOR!
❤
LFG!!! King of random is back🥳
i love it, finally respecting Grant's legacy
At last! Some real king of of random content ❤
So happy to see you doing all this fun stuff and you seem very happy. I got my first forge from you back in the day, appreciate all you do. Keep being awesome my friend!
You’ll love what’s coming next! -Jarom
Fun video!!
Awesome! Reminds me of the early Slingshot Channel videos :)
EXCELLENT! Now I just need a list of materials in the video description. This is a hit on my end guys.
Rebuilding all of that! Thank you for believing in us again.
nice return to form
Awesome. Keep it up!!
I’ll do it! Just for you! -Jarom
Unlimited poweeeeeer!!!!
Now this is the content i subscribed for
THIS is what we want from TKOR!
I promise to bring you more!! -Jarom
this is the content we expect.
TKOR IS BACK ON ITS TRACK!
This seems cool yet oddly dangerous-
That's why we decided to subscribe to TKOR back then
Oh yeah,TKOR IS BACK
I missed this type of content from TKOR
Incredible video! Reminds of the good ol’ days of this channel
Glad you enjoyed it!
Looks like the TKOR channel finally realized why they were losing subscribers.
Thanks for posting good content again.
I remember when Grant made something like this back in the day. God rest his sweet soul. 😢
Keep up the great work
We are so back 🔥🔥🔥
Loved the is! I want that bazooka!
I know where to find some… -Jarom
This is great, but do you have a suggestion of hot to make a highly consistent and accurate projectile launcher? I teach physics and I’ve made various rubber band, compressed air (and vacuum), and explosive (like hairspray and alcohol) projectile launchers. The issue is none of them have consistent launching speeds and also be safe for students to handle safely. I’m not looking for anything too powerful…something that can be used within a classroom.
Have you seen Grant’s laser sighted blowgun? I’m thinking of making a larger version of that using compressed air… -Jarom
The kid like enjoyment is something that’s been missing
Sweetstuff
Indeed ;)
I didnt know this was in utah! Nice!
Bruh!!! Fire and now projectiles!!! YOU SIR HAVE MY MOST UNDIVIDED ATTENTION!!!!🤘
I know what you want!! -Jarom
TKOR: Should we follow up with a miniature crossbow-slingshot or just add a laser sight to these two?
Me: Yes!!!!
P.S. Grant would be SO proud of this one. Keep it up!
I don't even need to watch the video. "Crossbow-slingshot" earned a like immediately.
But I'm still gonna watch the video, because, well: *crossbow-slingshot.*
Edit: It did not disappoint. Jarom, your videos remind me of Grant's, and they make me want to make cool, possibly dangerous things just as much.
Further edit: Have you considered collabing with Smarter Every Day? That could make a neat couple of videos if you find the right project.
I’m a huge fan of his work! I’d love to do it! -Jarom
keep at it it might be a while before the channel resurrects, but this is the only right direction
I love the new direction. My advice is to be more clear because I got confused multiple times in this video. For example, you said "We got our box built to contain our glass". The glass had not been introduced at this point, so I had no idea what that meant until a minute later when I found out the targets were going to be glassware. It may seem obvious, but to the masses it might not be.
One great way to improve communication and especially viewer retention is to break up the video by showing what you're going to do next. For example, you might start indoors with the glassware and crossbow on display while you explain what you're going to do and what you hope to see. It doesn't seem like much, but the promise of payoff is crucial to maintain viewer engagement during the less exciting sections.
I believe youtube allows you to check where retention drops off. This should be a great help to figure out retention problems.
Love how you used a premier branded drill bit for the holes 😂😂😂
You can pay for the good tools now, or later, after the cheap ones break. And good tools make me happy! -Jarom
Ah, more Grant-like content!
Updated intro with the original soundtrack will be perfect
Jarom, when did you join TKOR? I was shocked to see someone I know!
A few weeks ago! He's killing it!
This FREESTYLER type of Nails
i havent watched tkor in like a year
Welcome back! Thank you for watching
Good to see thompson son reviving the channel, what's your name kido
I’m not his son but I AM his friend. -Jarom
how about eye protection?
whats an eye protection?
Ahhhh comments just like the good ole' days... :)
@@TheKingofRandom cocky to say the least!
I love his laugh haha
Love this! Please put on safety glasses tho, sight is helpful when building dangerous stuff.
Not that i had anything against the others who have been on here, but this feels a little more like old school... heres some stuff sitting around and i think i can make this thing i saw... but better.
Desktop lava was peak TKOR.
Miss Grant, and higher level content.
This guy might be fun to watch, time will tell but this was a fun way to follow up the introduction.
Time will tell indeed! Keep watching! My only goal is to honor Grant’s legacy. -Jarom
