That size PVC can also fit a pool noodle over it really easily and snug. So you should be able to cut a pool noodle about a foot long then cap it on one end and make a huge nerf dart.
My favorite part was the look on Jarom's face when Jake shocked him with the little gadget.

A quick fill butane lighter port would be great. Nice job
You need a way of getting fresh air in there too. A connection for an air mattress pump or compressor blow nozzle would be a wacky addition.

I used to live in orange groves when i was a kid, we had golfcarts & 4-wheelers. One weekend we got atleast 10 of us together & built 4 potato guns & used the unlimited amount of oranges for ammo. Great times

Add a little squirt of starter fluid and O2 in there. It’ll add a huge boost. We did that with the legendary potato gun.

I made one that launched empty 16oz water bottles using rubbing alcohol as the fuel inside the bottle itself. Got them up to 48yards. 4 pennies in the nose cap provided great nose weight and cardboard fins to fit inside the 3” tube.

Isnt pvc kind of dangerous to be using for stuff like this, especially when combustion is involved? Kind of always thought pvc got brittle from that type of thing. Probably should use metal pipe...
The double wall gave me confidence, but not supreme confidence.
Solid schedule 40 PVC is more than strong enough for this type of low pressure combustion. PVC does degrade over time with UV light but that can be prevented if you paint it.
