- The Vintage 4x4 Expedition is an annual event hosted by brothers Ryan and David Shelley out of their Placerville, CA cabin. It’s a five-day event where vintage off-road enthusiasts put hundreds of trail miles on their pre-1975 vehicles. It started over twenty years ago with a few friends over winter break and now attracts over fifty eccentric individuals.
Video produced by Andrew Warren. Special thanks to Ryan Shelley, David Shelley, Ryan Erickson, and Charles Dahl.
Wow! These fellas are doing it the right way. Older vehicles are great. I'd really like to be a part of this.
Hi guys!
Great video and awesome tradition. Love the vintage rigs. My buddies and I do something similar in Redding, CA but we’re new to getting the group out.
We have a lot of great trails up here in the north state, but we really want to do the Rubicon Trail. Keep posting videos!
I love the old Rovers the best but they're all cool!
What a great collection of vintage metal! Perhaps someday Marla will make it out that way to join in!
I would love to join these trips!
So dope.
no scouts! gotta bring my '74 next year!
I love your video and wanted to mention that I have my 1951 Dodge M37 4x4 for sale on Bring a Trailer. The auction ends this Thursday, 2/4/21 at 12:12pm. I would love to see it go to one of your members and driven on an expedition.
any chance of this going in 2021?
Thanks. :)
Oh wow sounds like a blast I’m up in pioneer and have a 69 cj5 I sure would like to join you fellas if I can.
It sounds like your group may be getting a little too big but this inspires me to do something similar here in central oregon!
im located in roseville! i would love to join you guys this year!!
Sorry I’m so late but what country do you do this in (nvm I missed the California part) because if it’s still going in a couple years I’d love to join on my old motorcycle if you guys accept bikes joining you guys (1978 Yamaha xt500)
How do I become a part of this? I'm driving my 69 Scout 800 down from Alaska this summer and I"m headed across to Virginia but plan on making lots of stops along the way.
I would love to come on a run with you guys in our 1972 Bronco
What is that red Jeep behind you??
It's a Forward control, awesome machines
How do I join up?
Which decade cars are these?
Late 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s as I can see.
..... I'm surprised at how many are without the usual roll bars ..... I may have to remove mine, just to install a steel top and steel doors I've recently bought for my '65 cj5... So, roll bars are presently on my mind ... Lol
