- I see comments of people thinking you can't cover lots of acres with drones. They are just wrong.
The T40 and now T50 can cover lots of acres with the right equipment and a skilled pilot.

The important question to ask is what time's were you operating in this video? It's obviously morning when you start, but is it 8:00? 10:00? What time did you finish? I am a guy who like solid numbers rather then vague impressions.
So how many drones? How many hours from parking at the field to driving away? How much liquid per acre? How much coverage per cycle? How much time per cycle? You said your 12' high, does that give you 30' between path lines?
I see two drones working from 1 trailer, but then at the end there are two trailers and at least 3 drones, but one drone could simply be for making this video. Soo many questions unanswered.

So I have a question how many drones are you using to cover 500 acres in a day I’m assuming your not using only one drone I would love to hear your feed back I’m in Canada and there’s talk about legalizing custom spraying in about two years so starting to collect info
Do you have any restrictions on drone spraying herbicides. Here we can't spray anything via drone since they aren't registered

So I've actually done a bit of research on this because me and my business are looking to get into using drones for spraying. I haven't done any studying though because we haven't even taken the first steps of getting ready. I did learn that there are a lot of license's you need to apply for.
Obviously you need the Part 107 Drone pilot license, you also need to obtain an FAA Part 137 license just to operate an agricultural sprayer drone, which is similar to the kind of stuff an airplane pilot needs to do for crop dusting, which is spraying from the air.
If the drone you are operating is heavier the 55 pounds you need to get an exemption for certain portions of the Part 137 regulations. I don't know how to actually do this part yet, but once I see our business taking steps towards using these drones I'm going to start putting in the work to find out.
TLDR: The way you get around FAA weight restrictions for drones is the way it always has been to get around just about any governmental restrictions... Lots of paperwork.
