Lightbox Expo 2023 VLOG & REVIEW

This year at Lightbox was very different for me.
It's been such a long time since I've been at a convention since the pandemic. But spiritually, I've been away for the art community for quite a while. I've been focusing more on the Themed Entertainment Industry which is its own niche. But more than that, this is the first time I've stepped into this convention as an art educator instead of an active industry professional. I've found myself less interested in the panels, demos and artwork, and more interested in catching up with old friends, colleagues and teachers. The first thing most people say is... "Woah - I haven't seen you in a LONG time!"
Even though the connection is only just a couple minutes or so, I felt like this reconnection does make a big difference. Almost like the difference of an ember makes to a dry bushel of leaves. It ignites!
