    So I’m in high school right now and I know this industry is one I want to pursue specifically in engineering, but I feel like the competition there is incredibly fierce, so what would be a solid way to build a resume?

    • @MrChrisArtStudio
      @MrChrisArtStudio 8 днів тому

      @@goofy50 I'm not an engineer. So I can't really answer that very competently. I think you're asking the wrong person, and you won't get an accurate answer here. You should be more mindful of who you ask... Or you could get misled. That being said might just general opinion and thoughts are that in engineering there's not a lot of creative work that you do. I guess it's competitive, but from what I've seen as long as you know like Revit, BIM software and are fairly competent, you'll be able to get a job. As an engineer just doing what they tell you to do. You don't really have any creative decision making. That's just from my standpoint as a artist/ designer. But dude look up some more engineering theme park channels or something. Any answer I give has a huge margin of error.

      @@goofy50 No problem. Sorry if that was a bit harsh. With art, you can make a bad design, and maybe some people with complain. With engineering, you can bad a bad design, and people will die and fall off of the roller coaster. And you will be sued out of oblivion. So be precise and intentional with your decisions. :)

      oh wow - i didn't even know ohuhu made refills! the marker inks are compatible. Once the ink dries out and becomes an empty shell, you can used copic ink refills to replenish the reservoir. I do it all the all and cross mix brands. no issue. (only caveat is the chartpak ad markers which is more oil based instead of alcohol based. not compatible)

      @MrChrisArtStudio 4 місяці тому

      @@DieTabbi No that numbers won't be the same. what you do is... (this is what my teacher taught)... you have to go to the art store IN PERSON and test out the marker swatches on paper to see if the colors will blend together. What the colors look like on your computer screen will always be different from in person or even from their manufacturer print out. that's the advantage of copic markers, you can test them out in stores. you can't test out the ohuhus in stores. but ohuhus are so much cheaper. a copic marker is $5-7. A ohuhu marker is $0.50. It's 10x (10,000% difference in price). I always try to limit the number of markers I have to the minimum I need. It's smaller storage space, faster to access, and I don't need to worry about maintaining 50+ marker refills over a lifestyle. I have about 30 marker refill cartridges and it's enough for me.

      @@Halo_arts hey Halo arts! I actually don't know too much about animation or film production. It's not my industry of specialization. Is there an example of a artist who has that job and you want to be like them? Give me a couple examples of what you're talking about.

    Hey! Thank you for this amazing video!!! It helps so much! I am obviously looking to get hired at Imagineering and i'm more into the engineering side of it, it's just that i don't exactly know which type of engineer is the best to express your creativity. Later I want to be a creative director, but willing to start by engineering. Do you think it would be possible to start, for example, as a mechanical engineer, all the way up to creative director? Thank you so much!!!

      Mechanical engineering isn’t a bad choice. It tends to focus more on ride systems. However, I might recommend civil engineering a bit more because it’s closer to architecture, with a focus on larger-scale design. That said, it’s not exactly my area of expertise. I’ve worked at an architecture and engineering firm, and I know a lot of engineers who focus on things like HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. They tell me that side of engineering can be a bit more monotonous. I do have a couple of colleagues who started out as engineers, so it’s definitely a viable path. Just keep in mind that it’s not going to be inherently creative. You’ll need to take art and design classes on the side if you want to get into the creative realm. One of my coworkers started out as an engineer and took a lot of art and design classes. ericcabico.wixsite.com/portfolio1 I also have a student who graduated with a degree in civil engineering and then took art classes with me. dangeloreyes.com The good news, in my opinion, is that an engineering student who takes art classes on the side is more valuable than an art student who takes engineering classes on the side. Do you see what I mean? Art classes can be taken just about anywhere, and it’s generally easier to do.

    Heyy, could you make a video on art school / live classes that are located in Europe? Usually colleges in Europe are much cheaper, but I can’t really find any recommendations for art schools there, and honestly I only see live classes offered in the US ://

      @@oliviamarie8 Oh man I'll see what I can do. But honestly I don't really know a lot of the schools in Europe besides a couple of the Russian ones. So this video is little bit different than others in that it's not based on research. This video is based on actual experience. I've been to most of the art schools I talk about in this video, or I have friends who have been to those art schools. So it's not like I'm just looking up something on Google and creating this video. With a European art school thing, I'll try to do a little bit of research on it. But uh... Yeah I'll see what I can do. I do have some European friends.

    C'est bien mais c'est pas superman pour l’éternité superman c'est Chritopher Reeves.

      Je capte ce que tu dis, Christopher Reeve, c’est clairement LE Superman, y’a pas de débat. 🦸‍♂ Il a tellement marqué les esprits, c'est un truc de ouf. Mais tu vois, c’est aussi stylé de voir comment d'autres acteurs essaient de mettre leur vibe dans le rôle. Chacun peut apporter un truc différent, tout en respectant ce que Reeve a fait. 👊

      @@MrChrisArtStudio oui mais parfois je trouve que dieu a été comme ironique avec Reeve il a été superman l’homme qui pouvait voler, mais l’ironi de tout ça que il fini tétraplégique après un accident à cheval, comme par hasard un truc ou il pourra vraiment pas voler quelle oroni.

      @@SergentEO Oui, c'est vraiment triste. J'ai en fait un collègue de travail à qui c'est également arrivé. Il plongeait dans sa piscine et a heurté sa tête dans l'eau. C'était un accident tragique. Quand je le vois lors des événements de travail, il est en fauteuil roulant et souffle dans un tube pour contrôler le fauteuil. Il a une infirmière à ses côtés en permanence. Je pense que Christopher Reeve a contribué à sensibiliser les gens à ce type de paralysie et a financé beaucoup de recherches sur les cellules souches. Il essaie toujours d'aider les gens comme Superman, même s'il ne peut pas marcher.
