Why We Sing and Why We Dream sound especially fascinating. Great book club idea. 👍

What an interesting book club. I will join in on some books or topics. Three of the books are available through my library so I will need to hunt around a bit for the rest.

Interesting idea. I love your intellectual curiosity Gareth. I will try to join you for the Oliver Sacks as I have always meant to read that.

This sounds fascinating. Definitely not the sort of thing I usually read, but i love to challenge myself and therefore I reckon I’m in 😊

Hi Gareth. This sounds really fascinating. Thanks for thinking of me. I'm definitely interested in this book club. I don't know if I'll be up for all of them, but I'd like to give it a go. I know I've read the Oliver Sacks book, but it was many years ago, and I'd be up for a re-read for sure. I can think of some other people who might be interested too.

Love Oliver Sacks, I've read that one but he does have one on music that I haven't read so I will definitely pop that on the TBR and try and read it. The sleep one sounds interesting too.

I'm in 100% every one of these books is right up my street. Oh, and of course, thanks to you I already own one of them!

Some intriguing selections there. I may join you on the Paganism and Anatomy of God books.

Love this concept and your take on religion. The more I have to interact with real world humans, the less I believe in it, but your take on how it still shapes everyone is definitely worth thinking more about. I’ll have to find that fairytale book that’s right up my alley! I don’t have much by way of nonfiction, but I’ll have to scan my shelves as one of my favorite authors always mixes some kind of intriguing science as the basis for his novels. I might have one for most of these themes somewhere in his Sigma Force series! Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on these as you go through em!

Great idea for a book club! I'll try and hit a few of these. From the Beast to the Blonde sounds super interesting - I'm in for that, for sure 😀

Fairy tales sounds interesting and I just picked up a book that is similar. Paganism is also of interest, plus book on sleep. I like the idea of 2 months for a book.👍

Jilly, and I are both huge fans of Liz Williams' fiction, so I'll definitely be picking up that non-fic book by her!

What a wonderful idea! I am definitely down for the Sacks. I don't know I can think any further than that into the new year, to be honest, but I am certainly interested in trying to jump aboard some others, too!

Interesting concept! I'm not sure any of these will hit my 2025 TBR -- I'm not sure anything will! -- but I'll check in as the club progresses. Cheers!

Think I'd be willing to join in for any or all of them. Pretty sure I've read the Oliver Sacks book and "God: An Anatomy" (I might be remembering a different one here), but I'm fine with re-reading them. Have a good one!

Oh, these sound great! I can probably count myself in for 2/3 of the books? Very self-development-rich, which should be very therapeutic for 2025. Dare we call it the Anti-Project 2025?!? 😆

I’ll be up for a few at least.
It looks like limited availability for From the Beast to the Blonde in the United States.
