    Hopefully a good appointment with the doctor and you get a treatment plan put together.

    Matt it sounds like the issue with the A/c is a bad expansion valve. Thats more than likely the problem and if you replace it its a good idea to replace the drier accumulator. Hope Carter gets better soon. Keep up the good work.

      ^ i didn't realize with a expansion valve you cant use just a gage alone, you have to use temperature to check that thing - that was the second lesson. The first lesson learned - not flushing between compressors since compressors come with oil pre loaded.

      Also good luck with that expansion valve also, it was brass and the threads on the pipe are aluminum, needless to say we had to re-weld a nipple on the pipe for the expansion valve.

    This year I had winter rye that I experimented with planting corn and beans. Some I disc'd down before planting, some I roll-crimped and planted, some I planted into green and rroll-crimped after the main crop emerged, some I didn't plant any crop into and left it to see how long it kept the weeds back. We had six weeks of no rain after planting. The most successful was what was planted into the standing rye, the rye brought up moisture from way down plus it trapped any dew. So if you are running into replanting cotton because you're not getting sufficient moisture to germinate then I'd say to start testing fall rye and spring oats plus other cover crop mixes you can plant into standing green and terminate after. I've been following that technique used by a farmer running five thousand acres selling grain to food companies so the system is proven.

      I don’t know how long you’ve been following us, but we plant green into cover crop every year

    Matt, just an FYI. I was watching this video and afterwards went to finish watching another I had not finished. Couldn’t find you in my subscriptions. Turns out I had been unsubscribed while I was watching this video! If you see your count go down, may want to ask the Facebook gurus what’s going on.

      @griggsfarmsllc  Рік тому +2

      You would be correct. That was one of the problems. Along with leaking seal in the compressor

      Prayers for Carter and Kellee that the doctors figure out what is happening and get it under control. May god guide them to the answers.

    Matt, we had a 4430 that had a bad leak in the a/c . It turned out to be the a/c lines that run up the left rear corner post of the cab, they were rusted out . So you may want to check them for holes.You have to raise the cab top and take the lines off the evaperator then take them off the lines that come from the compressor . .

    • @45Deere9500
      @45Deere9500 Рік тому +1

      Yep, those lines are a known area to rust and leak, like you said.

      same problem we had too, it was under the line insulation in that corner post

    Your expansion valve in the top of the cab is stuck

      You are correct. The compressor seal was leaking and expansion valve wasn’t working

    Low side is suction it’s always going to pull. My question is . Are the pressures equal when running like 80-80 or is ur high side 150 low in the 40s .

    When it's running right, lol😂. I did a 2 ti 1 swap with a neighbor cotton for beans. Thought I was going to pass out when I got the wrap bill, just shy of 10k for 230 acres.😢 ended up at 1467#, but, aerial blight hit us on grades, probably lost around 40k on grade reduction. Oh well, that's farming. Next year it'll be 1000# and be a dollar😂
