I see this more as something that would be remotely piloted, maybe use a laser antennae to connect it to the main ship of a fleet, and using it to start a battle, maybe even have it go in front of the path of a convoy and basically create a minefield
Yes that could work if it didn't have the over designed spinning disk haha.. Anyway this isn't purely my own as I saw someone else doing a ship called "Lotus bomber" or something.
I would suggest using it instead as a long range, delayed bomber. Set up 5 of them in a grid pattern within the main armada, then when the main force proceeds towards the front line have them begin launching their payloads while moving to pre-arranged coordinates. This way you've roughly calculated a general "safe zone" and sent along a mobile minefield that will hamper enemy maneuvering capabilities.
This kind of ship could become a real threat to All the space engineers servers and even more devastated if it has a fleet of destroyers , cruisers, frigates, carriers and battleships with it escorting it to battle this ship can end it all and right now this ship is a Glass cannon but that can always be approved
This would be useful as a neutral faction or a raid or friendly, but not in active combat. It would be useful to destroy stationary targets built on/ hidden in asteroids. It would also be an effective mine layer, tho any intelligent player after hitting the first mine they weren't expecting would then open fire and destroy all of the mines, mostly just for fun. In active combat, similarly, they would be shot, and if a fighter got too close, they would blow up your own ship. Planetary bombardment would depend on trash settings for the world, but would be effective as well. If the mines were replaced with drones that had remote blocks and would target a specific location, that could be useful for actual defenses by having lots of drones with turrets activated around your base, or if warheads, but protected and have gyros and thrusters, they could also fly from a long ways away and hit a target over and over, wasing their ammunition until they start hitting the stationary target. If someone with coding experience then added the target destination to move with a moving target, well now you created a ship with long range and near infinite supplies lock on missiles, which would be very potent in active combat.
Yeah I knew that design would serve 0 purpose in real combat but I decided to do it for fun. I saw another guy doing the "Lotus bomber" years ago and wanted to make my own design:)
Id use these for orbital strikes....use a remote control that only controls gyros, type in gps coordinate and it'll rotate to face ground target, then let her cook. Most of the bombs should hit and you will transform a base into an unoccupied pit
Yeah this ship doesn't really have a purpose it can serve lol. There is much efficient one called "Lotus" bomber so I wanted to recreate it with some creativity
How about using a heavy armor front with shields as a ram ship. Then doors all around the middle sides release those after impact. Maybe release it on a close flyby from a larger ship out of a hanger.
Hey! They are so called blueprints that are displayed so the welder knows what to build. You can turn them on/off but are required once you want to build something.
Excellent at attacking large stationary things that don't shoot back.
seems like a good planetary bombardment or station bombardment system, at some point the number of targets will just overwhelm any PDC system
Ya not effective at ships that shoot back unless they had some sort of decoy setup
@@ironjavelin7482 No, it shoots 12 proyectiles at a time, unless u have around 48 turrets you wont be able to stop it
I used a similar build minus the rotation part and 2 out of the 4 bombs were decoys it really fucked up some shit on pvp servers
I still can't seem to hit anything!
You may see that last explosion as a catastrophic accident, but I see it as a useful self-destruct device
it stops the enemy from harnessing the tech
@@mysticcrow1077 Precisely

Nice work :)
That's why i always set a spherical generator reversed as gravity shield ^^

_uncle ben what happened?_
*SQUID BOMBER❗❗❗*
Much like the old "death lotus" designs of w4stedspace
“COMMANDER WHAT HAPPENED”
“SQUID GAMES‼️”
Now thats a lot of damage
lol I knew what it was when I saw the grav gens on the arms, cool design but wouldnt fare too well in real combat
Would if your sitting just outside of gravity of planet and orbital bombard people while being like 40km away
@@TheEveryone12 Nope still wouldnt work because of trash collection, that would delete the bombs after 500 meters.
Powered grids shouldn't delete it themselves that soon.

What did that Venator do to deserve that
actually great way to make a huge minefield
venator destroyer what happened!?

Why ist their sound in space?
I prefer giant drill missiles with stacked rotors and concrete shredder parts.
what about 20 of those with ai in combat and a shipyard that manufactured them with a mothership that brings them where they need to go
Would be cool but you'd need a beefy nasa pc for rendering all the explosives lol
@@clustererror what are your specs
@@aslv I've got 1070ti with Ryzen 5 2600x
Yo Way Yo
This thing is great for getting kicked by server sysop for too many unused grids floating around space and wasting server resources.
i like your channel and what uve made and i would making link you in one of my short vids that im gonna make today this is all up to you tho
reply if you want me to or not
Yes feel free to link me if you'd like to! Thank you!
Great way to ruin a alliance 😂
are these propelled by gravity generaters?
Yes just put them in reverse so they push
is that a squid game reference
squid games
I have a simular consept
squid ga
did dude video should be out
0:08 Can anyone explain to me why parts of the ship are holographic? I mildly dislike this when I play.

seen this kinda stuff used years ago. nothing really new..
cool. but in a real PVP server this wouldnt work. peopel dont hold still :P
