The improvisation between the chorus and solo parts are basically made up on the spot, and to me it is like hearing normally what you you would hear on the studio version. My ears are having a hard time determining if these parts weren’t meant to be on the studio version in the first place! Simply the best!

Love how well they meshed together - I believe that the harmonic and outlandishness of John really fit the bad a lot better - but Josh is a force to be reckoned with too - wish he would of at least riffed with the underlying chorus guitar on John's solo lol. It's not about understanding music - you don't have to like EVERY single piece of music ever created to understand it. There's a lot of people who didn't like the sound Navarro brought the the RHCP (myself included).

The only thing which could be "playback" is John's (the guitarist xD) looper with which you can record a riff and play then if you need it (for the solo for example cause hes the only guitarist, that you got a background sound).
@dsenunez alot of the guitar parts from stadium arcadium needed a second guitarist to sound good live and they found that most of their songs sounded empty live without josh

Maybe if you became a fan of the band when they earned mainstream recognition you might be able to say that but people that actually saw this guy in the early to mid 80's by the name of Hillel Slovak play for the band have a hell of an arguement against you there. That's pretty ignorant of you to make it sound like it's obvious John is the best guitarist RHCP ever had. True Chili's fans acknowledge Slovak, hell one of John's biggest inspirations was Hillel.
