I'd be careful.girl. His actions are telling you that he's looking to become #1 on this totem pole. The grabbing at your hand looking for treats will escalate into a bite one day if not corrected. All you have to do is stop and ask him to back up, move his front end away, and move his hindquarters. This re-establishes that you are herd leader and he is needing to respect your space. If he did this to his herd leader the leader would nip at him and make him move away. If you allow this it will escalate until he bites.
I don’t have much of a life so I watch UA-cam and Netflix Heartland a ranch in Canada 16 years 150 episodes so far I watched all episodes twice. And I watch your videos. When I was young I rode my horse across a ditch we got stuck in the mud, I almost kill him. Took six men to get him out of that ditch. Sonny never let me ride him again. Before he would me around the ranch as I did my chores.
Aww no I’m so sorry that sounds like it would have been a terrifying experience! I am glad you were both ok though! And I will admit, Heartland has been my favourite series since I was a little girl. I grew up obsessed with the books and was thrilled when I saw a tv series was being released (especially being Canadian, the fact it’s filmed in Canada too is so cool!) that is the dream life for sure!
