Hey y'all. Good idea. Just in case any of the water fowl don't work out. You can always put them on the creek property. Those geese will act like guard dogs and chase away trespassers.

Guys I've used "graphite lubricating powder" to help in stopping annoying sounds from being heard in family activity videos. I applied it with an "artist fine line" paint brush. Because user beware a dab will truly over do it, but a very light dusting is perfect.😉👍

Awe, the geese are soooo happy to be out and about. Loved seeing them spreading their wings and running and making noise. Please keep them, as they can alert you danger on the farm.
Geese are very effective guards too...they would go in on mass against an opportunist coyote....a pissed goose can be surprising in its force off attack !

On Grandma's farm whenever the birds started picking on one, it usually meant it was sick, the birds seemed to know.
Yes, I was thinking maybe it was sick and the ducks started picking on him because of that. Many animals do not accept sick animals in their group.
Rachel, my first cat was named Punkin. That way, when he was in trouble, he was Punk. Best cat ever!
I absolutely love your dogs. The geese are also good at sounding alarms. I know the Canadian geese that always wintered at our neighborhood pond were mean little suckers.

Leeske is a great big brother! He has been protective of her as well as teaching her everything she needs to know like staying with the goats while he chased the coyotes away. I think you've proven that you know what you're doing...
I absolutely love Sebastopol’s. The saddleback 1 is getting angel wing, it’s usually to much protein in the feed, hers isn’t severe yet so you can actually use vet wrap to hold the wings to her body(there’s videos how tos) but either way it doesn’t really affect them, the 2 geese I have both have it and they’re happy and healthy.
I had to get rid of 1 of my goats for the same reason, it’s never easy to do that but you never want to take the chance of the goat hurting the puppy.
I noticed too that there was something up with 2 of the goose's wings. Hopefully they can address that so that their wings are not so weak & uncomfortable or can possibly break.
@@PapillonOne they won’t break, it’s just because their “blood feathers” grow faster than the rest of its feathers and it weighs them down. I bought 1 adult goose that already had an angel wing and the 1 I hatched ended up developing it and I tried wrapping it but she kept pulling it off and she’s an adult now and is healthy as can be. Hidden heights have amazing animal husbandry and they will do what’s best for the geese and I only mentioned it because they may not know what it is and honestly they could know already lol.. ❤️

@@austyn101ify Well I am due for a shoulder replacement and I feel like they look, my arm just wants to hang (though that is almost as painful as trying to keep my arm up close to my body.) I realize it is not the same thing but they look so uncomfortable.
BTW, did your adult goose ever lose their angel wing or was it stuck like that for good since you said it is something they can grow out of but your goose was already an adult??
@@austyn101ify I have cared for all kinds of animals all my life and got to admit, I was pretty upset when in another video he reported that the baby geese were really picking on the tiny black baby ducks and you could see they had pulled a whole lot of their feathers off their heads and backs - that couldn't have been painless for them but he didn't immediately create the second pen in his shop earlier which was when he told us he first noticed it prior to filming and then again when he took us out to the shop while filming. I got the impression it was going on for quite awhile like even over night or maybe longer. For me that would be something I'd have taken care of right away post haste but it wasn't done till later on that day per his video when he showed us he'd made the new pen.

Hey Kevin, a tip for the goat feeders so they don't hold water and rust. On the end caps of the feeders, down very low in the V, drill a 3/8" hole on each end. Normally when you put grain in the feeder it's a couple inches off the end and you won't have to worry about losing the grain, but they can't hold water.

In my mid twenties we found a black and white kitten no more than four weeks old in the trunk of my fathers 1936 Dodge coupe. We never knew who the mother was. It was in November and my mother named him Punkin. He lived to about 20 or so years old. We already had a black and white cat named Sylvester, named after the cartoon cat. Kevin, if your zoom is plastic and extends and retracts as you zoom, you can put some silicone lubricant on that comes with beard trimmers. Extend it all the way out to apply. That should allow it to move in and out without any restriction and not make any noise. It's pretty cool to see the animals get excited when they get moved to a new pasture.

Hi guys I have some possible information regarding that sound.
1.) That sort of grinding sound is most likely produced by the Image stabilization system, not the zooming.
2.)It could be caused by dirt, sand, grime in the lens assembly itself. So try and remove the lens assembly and either clean or replace it.
3.) If you have a local…I know local in Oklahoma is just like Texas lol camera shop they may the machine that can check your camera for defects and issues.
My 3 cents worth of possible solutions.

Usually when they start picking on an animal, they know it's sick or something wrong with it and don't want it in their midst. Sad, but that's mother nature.

Those geese will be great guard dogs. They will honk at anything strange. My grandparents had some that were so mean to us kids. I'm still pretty wary of a goose. They were beautiful running and spreading their wings in that green grass. The new babies were too cute playing in the barn.
