My thrifty side is finding it painful that you're only a few quid away from the free delivery threshold.
If you collated both your orders - avoiding the delivery fees from both - you'd be £7.98 closer to buying a 1080p camera
This is just a week on a standard Morrison's shop..
Exactly!!! It's kinda pointless.
Think it's because a week on Morrisons would be a boring title 😂 Gonna try Prime Now next week though, never heard of it until now
Blame the lockdown
I tried it and I did like the convenience of it however increased prices mean I probably won't do it again
Seriously.. There was nothing wrong with those bananas. They were perfectly ripe
I was about to write the same thing! :P haha
Thought the same thing. They look nice and sweet.
I’m sure they’re just about fine...if you plan on eating the whole lot that very same day...
I know, some people are too fussy, and the returned bananas will 100% end up as food waste
Weirdo. Those bananas looked just about perfect for eating.
Perfect for banana bread too!
I was like "he doesn't like bananas soft????" Then I remembered I know some weirdos that eat hard bitter nasty unripened bananas and I have no idea how they stomach it.
Some people like me can't eat over ripe bananas as can't digest them so no he's not weirdo maybe you can eat them like that think of those that prefer yellow or even green
or in between bananas not brown and are virtually rancid and inedible. I got bananas worse than this from marks spencers it makes you wonder what goes through the pickers head as there meant to be fully trained to pick the newest freshest stock with decent dates shameful really is.
Top marks for polite lady saying " good morning sir" that's very nice compliment
Best time to eat bananas when they're that colour, or you could have blended one with a glass of milk for a milkshake. Or, what I like to do in the summer is peel them, shove a skewer or ice lolly stick in and freeze them. Eat them frozen and they're like a more solid version of Mini Milk lollies, and a great way of cooling off in the heat.
I can sort of see both sides to this. They were fine to eat when he got them, but they might have gone bad in a few days.
That's why a lot of people buy ones that aren't quite as ripe, so they have a longer shelf life.
Or, buy them loose. That way you don't buy too many.
Finding other uses like banana bread or milk shakes is a bit of a hassle. Cleaning a blender for one is always a pain.
However, I do agree trying to return them was a bit much. I would have kept them too.
Those banana were absolutely fine though, when bananas go over ripe and really black on the outside, shove them in the oven for a bit, cook them through quite well, then have on a plate to cut open. Cream on or, if feeling naughty, a bit of brandy as well. A most excellent pudding 👌
Can add cinnamon or brown sugar too
Ewwwwww. That sounds nasty.
@@georgeyreynolds if it was a more solid texture from the oven I feel golden syrup taste and melted banana would just pop
The burger tastes better if you toast the bun and cook the rest in a frying pan not the microwave you could use the bananas for banana bread
To be fair that would defeat the purpose of what these burgers are designed for (quick and convenient). If you’re going to all that trouble then you might as well just make a fresh burger.
@@VengaboysRbackINtown just toast the bun then, and microwave the rest. the bun just goes soft and soggy in the microwave which ruins it for me. then someone told me to toast the buns and my life changed
I dont really like bananas but those ones you got would be perfect in a day or two for banana bread. Though baking while it is hot is horrid so here they would be peeled mashed and frozen for a cooler day.
If you don't like bananas why would you buy them?. Just don't buy them
@@fman02 people buy them to personally to make banana bread. I know I absolutely hate raw bananas but love banana bread.
I don't understand this week on... it's basically a week on Morrisons, but delived by Amazon.
Smaller range of items.
Bread for 3 meals and bacon for 2. Living the dream...
Bananas that have brown dots are ripe, the ones you usually see and in the picture are not ripe yet
If you eat bananas without spots that's like eating a green orange.
ABSOLUTELY! Those bananas were perfectly ripe and ready for eating.
Gross! Those are not good to just eat. A smoothie or a bit longer for bread sure, but not just to eat.
You should have called this: eating like a person who has never seen food before, and doesn't know which ones go together, because of that.
And I call your comment “trying to tell a person how to eat just because I have different tastes from them”
It really concerns me that you were treating bananas with brown spots as if they were moldy.
Or maybe mouldy
@@fman02 People who are not British do not tend to add superfluous "u's" to words. Also they do not verbally add "r's" to the end of words like pizza, banana and vanilla like Brits do. Just so you know.
That plate of tea was like everyones lockdown meals when the shelves were empty
Could have made some banana bread in a few days with those. They were fine to eat as is. People are so picky about produce because they've been conditioned to think a perfect banana is yellow and a perfect apple is red. That's not how it works.
Having a rustler burger with asparagus is like eating a McDonald's on fine China at Buckingham Palace
Bananas lose nutrients the more they ripen & are higher in sugar. They should at least come fresh so you have the choice wherever to ripen them or not.
Martyn Jordan this comment is just practical
I mean if you’re ordering off amazon prime now they probably assume that you want to use/eat it now otherwise you would have got normal amazon fresh delivery in a couple of days. I think sending ripe fruit makes sense in this scenario
I've missed quite a few months on this channel and come back and it's at 138k subs wow!
Those bananas would be perfect for banana bread! You can even freeze them for later.
Mike does know right that bananas are perfectly edible even when brown and soft, at the very least they work well in a smoothie or some banana bread
What kind of madman puts sauce on the roll before the bacon?! And corn on the cob in a casserole dish!!
I thought only a Karen would to go as far as to return bananas because they don't like the icky brown spots.
I’d return them. They shouldn’t send on the turn goods.
Yes, god forbid you want not half rotten food that you’ve paid for.
While I personally prefer my bananas exactly like those, I know plenty of people who like them with a green hint and would consider those as "too far gone" for straight eating.
@ducky Bananas come in bunches, unless you’re planning on eating them all in one day, they’re no good!
I'm American, and I cook my bacon in the oven too. I think pan frying it burns it and you have to watch it constantly.
*Mike:* _"Eat baked bacon, it's the best!"_
*Also Mike:* _"Bananas are at their best when they're green!"_
Man, it's the flan thing again. Mike sees something that's absolutely common in its perfectly normal state and assumes it's rotten just because he's not used to it. You can sort of excuse the flan because fine, maybe he's gone 40+ years without ever seeing a flan on TV or real life. It's near impossible, but sure, you can argue that out of a personal preference he's been avoiding the thing all this time in favor of something more familiar. But bananas? How the hell does a grown up not know what ripe bananas look like? It's not like he lives in a communist country where they don't allow those fruits or something like that. Like, maybe you can argue that he just wants them greener so he can have them around for several days until he happens to be in the mood for one, but then why buy them so soon instead of waiting until he wants one? And why does he talk like they're literally seconds from rotting?
Seriously, every time I think I figured Mike out he comes out with another insane thing.
Don't foget "Fruit doesn't belong in cereal!"
Lost interest after line 2. You sir, are a bore
Whereas your rant about flans and communism is perfectly sane
Spotty bananas are the only way to eat them super sweet and tasty. There is a reason that they are used in baking when they get to that stage yum!
Those bananas are perfectly ripe!
If you added £7.05 more items you would have gotten free delivery instead of paying £3.99.
it annoyed me aswell that he didnt do that! whats the point 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤣
Why do I have the feeling that dandelion and bardock is to Americans as root beer is to Brits.
Never tried Dandelion and Bardock. Is it similar to Dandelion and Burdock?
I fully expected the "Just the tip" innuendo but I didnt expect the "So it doesn't hurt" part. I literally choked laughing when you said that.
Hi Mike, recently discovered your channel loving the content so far! Keep up the good work.
What I have learned from this is that Amazon has very different products in the UK vs USA. Here in the US, they use Whole Foods which is an organic, fresh or local, grocery, so the dishes are much nicer than what appears to be in the UK, though I can't say for certain from just this video.
It's just delivering super market food on the same day, where as supermarkets don't. That's it lol. Mike has never been the best example of fresh food for choice lol, most things he chooses to eat are processed
JR What are you talking about? Whole Foods is infamously expensive. There’s a reason it’s nicknamed “Whole Paycheck” . As far as quality, a tomato is a tomato. You can get a decent one at any grocery store. Same for pretty much any product.
They have changed the cooking instructions on the burgers now it tells you to put the bun in the toaster
I mean fair enough on the bananas you like them how you like them I guess but they weren't that ripe and by sending them back they wont be resold or given away they will be thrown in the bin , it's a waste of food .... you could have peeled them, placed them in food bags and froze them for a milkshake, frozen bananas and semi skimmed milk blended together make a healthy milkshake that's similar to McDonald's just not as sweet and sickly.
As someone from the American Midwest, where corn grows, corn is a starch. So that meal is perfectly balanced.
Next time you're in America if you're in a state that has Publix go to the deli and be sure to get a chicken tender sub with mayo and whatever cheese and toppings you want.
Those bananas would have been fantastic... You had 2 days minimum in those.
Thats exactly how you want them they wouldn't have been brown inside.
You eat absolute crap like microwave burgers and return the healthiest thing you ordered 🙄
I love the fact the asparagus tips hurt joke went over everyone’s heads, fantastic
I would say dandelion and burdock tastes a bit like bubblegum too
Roast the asparagus in puff pastry and a dash of paprika. I do spirals!
Out of everything you could get at Morrison's you go for them cheap crappy burgers and then microwave it even a 13 yr old with pocket money wouldn't buy that shit
Here's me thinking no ones as bad as cooking as me then we see what Mike buys and I feel better about my food choices lol
Amazon's return policy clearly states that anyone who thinks Back bacon is better then real bacon obviously is no competent judge of banana's.
They have different purposes in my eyes, back bacon is for when it's not in something and is the star of the show, streaky bacon is for burgers, sandwiches, wraps whatever
Can’t believe you had a bread roll for every meal
As for baked bacon try brown sugar coated bacon
Like when you buy a cake and says feeds 12 ya yer good one
Hodgepodge is not used nowhere near enough
In the USA, almost all of what we call bacon is streaky bacon. Which bakes very nicely. But you know that. We can’t really get proper back bacon in the USA. So-called Canadian bacon is sort of similar, sometimes.
All three are from different parts of the pig. US bacon is almost all pork belly, Canadian is almost all pork loin, and UK bacon is a compromise of the two.
what could be fun for another week on, would be others that order for you or you by one random item each time you order, so you get something you might never would have gotten :)
I miss Dandelion and Burdock, can't get it here in ireland . Makes me sad🙁
I wish Irn Bru was that cheap and popular in Australia.
With the Rustlers burgers its much nicer if you toast the inside of the bun while you are microwaving the burger
I'm gonna pretend you didn't just say that liquorice is delicious.
It is delicious
☝️😲 Mike I hope you do the week on the refugee rations again but just do what’s in the box and no add-on items like you said last year.
My dog agrees on the need for veg. Hims a happy boy because his favorite was made for dinner, broccoli
Cheese and onion spread sandwich and crisps.....sounds like something a poor university student would eat just for the calories....
That's alot of bread for day my friend Chips looked nice thou
I recieved my amazon prime now groceries from morrison today and I was absolutely pleased cheers mike and I also ordered banana which were the oppisite they were green🍌💚😂😂😂😂
3 sandwiches, one day, but that cheese dip one, nasty. And corn isn't a vegetable
Bacon is best cooked in the oven & smoked bacon is yummy 😋🥓
"Coffee Hall" sounds like a nice place.
Yeah, I thought that till I went there..........It's not.
you should try toasting the rustler bun and just microwaving the burger meat ... honestly its a game changer!
"Just the tip so it doesn't hurt". Parp
Find it odd putting the cheese one after. Its nice for it to be melted while cooking it.
Baked bacon is seriously legit...and way easier.
Man your videos have such a dull and gloomy vibe to them but I still love watching them 😂
Those cheese spreads make wonderful cheese bread, if you're having a tough go of finishing the tub. :)
Also all the comments about the bananas; goodness, lol. I don't like bananas that are spotty either,.I like when they're a little green on the top (except for banana bread and smoothie things, though).
Exactly! You lot enjoy your on the turn soft icky tasting bananas then! 🤣
I concur what others have said. Returning them bananas is just pathetic.
Accidentally wiping you last bit of food on your forehead then realizing you really like it...
We call back bacon Canadian bacon over here. Still good!
and thats why we need chefs of all ages cos adult tastebuds are a bit of a loss, i hated fish as a kid but now i love fish espcily smoked fish nd sushi , nd i ave to put more salt on my food so it tastes nicer. so dnt forget a kids tastes r different to adults............... oooooh thats a thought get a family member or a friends kid nd taste test food x
Dandelion & Burdock is amazing.
I bake my bacon as well.
A week on sandwiches!!
those ready meals never feed 2 well maybe 2 hamsters
Nice to see that you can get some cheaper things as well. All Food you can order online over here is always the higher priced Brand stuff.
You don't get much food for 30 odd quid Amazon prim look like a rip off do a video of buying what you bought and see how much difference in money there is keep up the good work buddy peace
Maybe green beans instead of asparagus?
I've been using Amazon Prime now for 2 years now, lol
I always have to return 2 or 3 items, every order, there's always something wrong
Some people (my sister being one) don't like the taste of ripe bananas, just green, yellowish lol
Those bananas were perfect
That plush penguin next to you in the bed is adorable.
It really isnt
You should wrap the asparagus in some prosciutto
Another order lol why didn’t u spend more on the 1st order ffs, it would save u on delivery & the £7.98 u spent would have gone on food :(
I think he’s trying out multiple deliveries to judge amazon prime now properly. If he just judged them on one delivery I guess it wouldn’t be good!
Mike said something was too hot!? And it needed to cool!?! I never thought the day would come
try toasting the bun on microwave burger
Backed Bacon in the oven is the way to go
If those bananas were black then maybe
Okay, those bananas are....not good, definitely not something you'd buy. Taking advantage, the bastards :P
The best kind of bacon is no bacon
But bananas are at their best when they're that color. No need to return them.
Rustlers burger bun in the micro? No just no 😂 burger in the micro. Bun in the toaster. Its a whole different experience. 😁👍
Gah, you had crisps with a cheese and onion roll, and you DIDN'T put the crisps in the sandwich???? Get out --->
Make banana bread or smoothies or nice cream with it Mike. I know I would.
You eat like you're the world's tallest toddler
always do my bacon in thr oven you cooker stays clean
Prices are extortionate
Why you no pierce film
Penguin plush! have an upvote :)
