Men clothing daytime/night time packing list
Essentials : sun hat, sunglasses, goggles two pair, bandanas, caribeener cup, headlamp
Not essential but helpful, pocketed vest, Fanny pack. Backpack
HIGHLY ENCOURAGED!
Participation wear: costumes, group dress up (the bees from honeypot), character, funny. Express yourself! It’s a burning man principle DICKBATS WEAR YOUR CUT!
Feet:
SOCKS 8 pair short, 8 pair long (keep in big ziplock)
-Flip flop Sandals for day
-Tennis shoes you don’t mind ruining, goodwill ASICS
-High cut boots (keep dust out of feet)? Not necessary a good pair of tennis shoes will do the whole week fine. But boots hood extra
especially if building or tearing down camp
-Palladium shoes
Legs:
Daytime
1-2 pair of cargo shorts or
1-2 pair of cut off jeans
2-3 pair harem pants or Thailand pants
-Other good options: utility kilt
-Loose fit long Thailand skirt with sandals
-Optional tutu for Tuesday
LOTS OF GOOD BOXER BRIEFS! Even with cool designs! Vent at package.. Wear briefs at camp on the hottest days when no pants will do. So many guys do this
-board shorts to swim on your way to/ from the burn.
-honorable mention, mantees, utility kilts
Night time GET CREATIVE!
-I wear striped pants all week long day and night (don’t copy me!!!) jk
-wear creativity or tactically
-Overalls +++ feels good to roll in dust in plus lots of pockets
-flight suit army surplus (same reasons as overalls)
-costumes
-rugged pants like jeans or outdoors pants
-cozy pajama pants
-animal onesie

-Add lights! It’s dark out there and people will be less likely to crash into you.

-long sleeve shirts, long thermals (good for firespinning if cotton)
-jansport with water, snack, any essentials
-headlamp
-fingerless gloves, I wear leather for riding my scooter
-sexy cologne
 Burning Man is just around the corner and with this video I’ve done my best to help the man prepare for style maxing on playa.
 Men have some clothing options, easier than women, but it’s still important we radically express ourselves at burning man.
These clips come from burning man 2022 and a few other burns, but mostly the campers from PyrOasis camp last year.
This year the burning man theme is ANIMALIA and I’m excited to see what animalistic styles people come up with. Fashion is a big deal at burning man and you don’t have to spend the whole week in cargo shorts (unless you want to)

In a sea of non-conformity, none of these posers stand out despite their best efforts. Only a conformist would stand out. Would be really cool to do Burning Man in a suit and a fedora and walk around looking very uneasy about the whole thing. Anything less is just lame and more of the same at this point.
