    i had a spider bite or insect bite on my nose. the skin in the area was red, inflamed, with a red blood vessel circle around it as if the body was putting this area into isolation. i also had 2 lumps on the side of my face . i would pick at these but they would never recover. if i squeezed the area on my nose , then liquid would come out the spots and blood , the skin would regrow back as angry and red. after nmn i still had the sore on my nose so i squeezed it again and again watery liquid would come out and it bleed as well . i noticed the next day that the skin was regrowing back but it was normal skin, not angry. the marks on my nose went. so i picked at the lump on the side of my face and they bleed but disappeared. skin was fine . really impressed. my bald patch on the top of my head, has thickened up as well . also had asthma so at the same time as taking nmn i also upped my vitamin d intake to 8000 iu and 200 k2 combined and i no longer have asthma. lungs are fine.

    In terms of endurance, I've notice improvement since I've been taking NMN. I have a Peleton and it measures pretty much everything. I have been consistently able to increase my output per 30 minute exercise with a 302 output on 10/18/23. Compare that to a 259 output on 10/7/23. Then a247 output on 8/19/23 before I started taking NMN. My number have been consistently going up.
    Here is a 45 minute ride with a 434 output on 9/2/23 when I first started taking NMN. Compare that to a 377 output on 8/13/23 before I started taking NMN. I supplement pretty highly, but adding NMN has really made a difference, and I wouldn't have even check this out if it weren't for this video so thanks. And now, I'm going to subscribe! I'm now at one month of 1 g a day of NMN.
    No change at all!
    But I have been taking a multivitamin/mineral for a decade. And it has high doses of all the B vitamins. 175 mg of NAM, for example.
    Perhaps one has to be deficient in vitamin B3 to notice any effect of NMN.
    I would have noticed any change in strength, energy, or recovery.
    My strength training has been the same for quite a number of years, and any small change would be easily noticable.
    My current view is that if you don’t have anything to fix, NMN won't do anything for you.
    By the way, I'm 75 now.

She also found that energy therapy was very helpful. Supplements can be one small part to a much bigger puzzle. One pill or powder isn't going to solve all of our health challenges, but they help. • @francesauraliadelacroix
      @francesauraliadelacroix Рік тому +8

      When taking NMN, I read from a scientist within this field, that it's important to take TMG - 1:1 ratio to NMN - which keeps your homocysteine levels balanced. This is important as NMN affects homocysteine levels which is an amino acid. Additionally, it is advised to take B vitamins, folic acid which are cofactors for TMG. Passing it on!

    • @JTJaredTaylor
      @JTJaredTaylor  Рік тому +10

      I have been. 500mg of resveratrol, 1gram of NMN, 1 gram TMG. I take NMN and resveratrol in the morning and TMG later in the afternoon. My understanding is that it's recommended that you take NMN and TMG separately. Hope that helps.

    • @larsnystrom6698
      @larsnystrom6698 7 місяців тому

      @francesauraliadelacroix
      Why would TMG do anything for the homocystein levels?
      The main reason for taking TMG when you take high doses of any kind of vitamin B3 is that the body consumes methyl groups when getting rid of any excess.
      And you don't want a deficency of methyl groups. Glycine is an excellent buffer for holding those. And TMG is glycine fully loaded with methyl groups.
      I think Chris Masterjohn said 0.5 g of TMG for 1 g of NMN.
      But too much TMG probably won't hurt.
      Some extra glycine would be a good thing too,

      Hi Jenna, I haven't had those things measured for a bit but last time I checked, BP, BMI and most lipid levels are great and in the upper percentile for my age group. I do have high LDL but that is likely the result of being a "lean mass hyper responder" to keto which is a topic for another video for sure. I should note it my LDL was high prior to taking NMN. I'm not sure how NMN will impact hypertension if at all. It would be interesting to see if raising NAD+ levels has any benefit there which is what we're trying to do by taking NMN.

      @JTJaredTaylor  2 місяці тому

      Hi, there have been many reports of fake NMN products being sold on Amazon. That was actually an issue. If I remember correctly as much as 60% of the NMN products where not actually NMN. Amazon no longer allows NMN sales on their platform. But more because the FDA banned it from being sold as a supplement though they don't seem to be enforcing it and have since said it's (still under investigation). NMN itself isn't the issue but companies trying to profit on fake NMN. Sad. It's important to look for options that are 3rd party tested for purity and manufactured with high quality standards. So you know what you're getting is actually NMN. Hope that helps.

The Human NMN studies on NAD levels in muscles show no statistical significance, are you still hopeful on NMN or could you consider the placebo effect and your excitement over the hyped claims of NMN to be a factor? 3. I think the NMN hype has inspired people to act more healthy in general, for example: i just quit drinking alcohol after 5 months of taking NMN and resveritrol because i wanted to become more healthy so i cant say for sure if its just a side effect of my changed mental state rather then the NMN and resveritrol.

      Sorry I didn't respond sooner. I've heard several people say that. They were tired for about a week and then after taking it for a while felt much better. My experience was the opposite. I felt energy and was worried I wouldn't be able to sleep. I slept just fine. Some people have suggested that if you feel tired to take it at night for a few weeks and then switch to taking it in the morning again. I'm not sure that I would do that because the general idea (Dr David Sinclair talks about this) is to match it with your natural circadian rhythm (waking and sleep cycle). Take it when you're supposed to be awake. That's how it's supposed to work anyway. Let me know how it goes. Thanks.

I would not say that you MUST take TMG with NMN but it helps your body convert more of the NMN to NAD+. It helps but is not an absolute requirement. Taking NMN alone without other supplements can still be beneficial. As for other supplements I also take collagen, hyaluronic acid, vitamin D3, K2 and was taking fish oil but ran out so I need to get more. Lately I've been experimenting with fisetin and urolithin a. Hi A. Evans, That's a great question. DoNotAge is trying really hard to make their supplements available to as many people as possible. So they've tried to lower their prices. They 're a smaller company and are really trying to put people before profits as much as possible. NMN is still pretty expensive to produce. Believe it or not it used to be 2 to 3 times as much. ProHealth is a great company and $$ seem to be about on par with most companies when it comes to price but they are a larger company and likely have more overhead. Just my thoughts on this. It's likely more difficult for them to reduce pricing.
