    Reminder Detroit was never plagued by not having talented players, they were plagued by a horrible front office and coaching staff. The Fords only saw them as a money printer regardless if they won or not. Bless you, Shelia Ford Hamp for being the first Ford to actually care about winning

He was why Barry and Calvin quit in their primes. Props GB fans, props - way to keep it classy in a world lacking class. Also, he showed me a bunch of pictures and Lambeau looked awesome! The atrium and everything looked really good.

As a life long Lions fan it is almost an out of body experience listening to post game talks of NFL coaches and staff's we defeat and hearing them talk about the high quality of football team the Lions are and how well we are coached. Add in compliments to our roster and its almost unbelievable. As a fan of the Lions its maybe the truest validation that we've arrived being an outside the building onlooker. The commentary by our opponents tells the story of our rise. Nice insight Rich. Glad you keyed on this aspect as its telling of the work Brad Holmes and Dan Campbell have orchestrated since their arrival in Detroit.

    Love's golden 4th quarter against Saints included 2 under thrown balls where the reciever stopped mid stride and the CB bumped into them giving them a free 70 yards, which is why PI should be a 15 yd penalty and new set of downs.

    • @mythrapi73
      @mythrapi73 8 місяців тому

      agreed totally but on the flip side you may see more PI downfield to prevent a big play. So I doubt it ever gets changed. Just like the rule if the ball rolls over the cone in the end zone it's a touch back. they'll never change that one even if it doesn't make sense.

I remember between the 3rd and 4th quarter the Lions were winning by I think 10 points and during that timeout between quarters the Silverdome crowd was going crazy and Bob Seagar song was playing "Old time Rock&Roll and everyone was on their feet dancing and singing and it was so fun and so loud! Then about 45 minutes later it was the opposite after Sharp caught that TD pass with like a half minute left, the crowd was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. As heartbroken as us fans were we were still excited about the future thinking ok we will have many more home playoff games to come and lol 30 years later were still waiting.

    Don't do the quarter time clock like the NBA. Do it like in MLB. The umps have a watch that literally buzzes when the pitch clock hits 0. It physically buzzes. And they have this ready every single pitch, every single at bat.
    There's no reason why teams should be getting plays when there's no time left in this day and age. The technology is there... Use it.

    Game 1... it was hard to tell the Detroit Lions from the Super Bowl champion Chiefs by the quality of their play. Yes, that is undoubtedly a great team in Kansas City. I could not be convinced that either team was better.
    3-1 projects to 12-13 wins, which is the rate at which the Lions played after starting 1-6 last year. That's the sort of regular season in the range of Super Bowl teams. The Lions haven't done it yet. If they do then it will be consummate delight for people who have typically paid more attention to the Michigan Wolverines in the autumn.
