No problem, this made my day! And I'm not ashamed to admit I've visited it numerous times since I first saw it yesterday. So, I have more coherant feedback to give you (since yesterday I was overcome with emotion about Gene Kelly and couldn't muster much). The way you've synced the dancing to the "I'm still standing" is exceptional. It feels like this song was made for him- and that he was actually dancing along with it. And I love the second half, where you show the softer side of him...

Love Gene Kelly! So dynamic, talented and handsome! I feel the same way you do when I watch him - so ecstatic and fascinated. The man was multi-talented, and I don't think ever got the credit he deserved. Wonderful work!

...your editing in that section is absolutely magnificent. The music and his smile- it is just absolutely wonderful. I probably even like the second half just a little bit better- especially since it brought tears to my eyes. It showed his softer side. I just absolutely loved this entire thing, it's a masterpiece :) x

    Fantastic. Incredible. Truly amazing.
Gene Kelly will always be one of the greatest leading men in film. While I only recognized him from SInging in the Rain and Anchors Aweigh, I now have a real sense of his long, illustrious career.
    Bravo. Just bravo.

Urgh my feed didn't show this video, so thank you for posting your bulletin otherwise I would've missed this. Amazing as ever, that's probably my favourite Elton John song and I was near screaming with happiness at the wonderful combination of him and Gene with brilliant timing. And then the second part was really beautiful and showed how varied an actor he was as well as a dancer. This completely made my day, thank you xx

This is a wonderful tribute to the greatest male dancer in the history of film, bar none! The skill & grace that Gene continued to show tapping dancing while wearing roller skates in "It's Always Fair Weather" (1955); leaves me speechless. Wonderful job!

And a second comment for the second half: majestic is the word. If there was a television tribute to Gene, your tribute should be the lead-in. Gorgeously timed throughout. How you used your opening and closing scenes with the choice of music was like Spielberg and Williams or Leone and Morricone....or Rogers and Hammerstein or Gilbert and Sullivan. Brilliant and one of your best!!!

Wow! I absolutely love this. Thank you so much. It made me smile and brought tears to my eyes at the same time. It perfectly illustrates Gene's talents and his magic. I know every one of Gene's films almost by heart and still I was awestruck watching the variety and beauty anf joy of his movement as presented by you. The last part took me by surprise and is something really special, gave me goosebumps. wonderful.

I assure you it is. I've watched the film countless times since I was 14 years old and love the score by Craig Amstrong. He composed three pieces: Portuguese Love Theme, Glasgow Love Theme, and PM's Love Theme. It has been used in other things but it was originally composed by Armstrong for Love Actually.

Claudia, I'm excited by this amazing video!! I bet it was hard to make the editing. A hard work that finally transmits energy and excitement!! Elton John and the soundtrack of the movie Love Actually by Craig Armstrong are fantastic!! Known previously this soundtrack, and I fell in love with it. I'm glad you've used it! Great!

What a lovely job you did! I couldn't help but smile through most of your video, remembering so many of his movies. It took Gene Kelly to show those people that didn't already know that dancers are athletes as well as artists! Perfect music choices!

First to comment! And what a tribute to Gene! You captured his acrobatic energy, he made dancing so strong, poetic, imaginative, yet masculine and virile, reassuring the majority of men by the way! I'll always remember the moment I discovered Gene Kelly during TCM's tribute to Gene Kelly in march 2003, they played his films for an entire month. American in Paris was stunning, but it was truly On The Town that floored me! Then Singin' in the Rain came along and it was MAGIC! xoxo

Very cheerful in the beginning and impressive in the end! Frank Sinatra said Gene was his dear friend who was very patient as a dance teacher and even danced worse so that Frank could look better next to him...Your tributes are so wonderful, Claudia, that I enjoy watching them even if I'm not a super fan of some stars. Keep making them! :D
