The funny thing about the Panarin Marchand glove situation is that the ref immediately, without looking, stops Marchand from stealing it lol
The fact that Brandon Lemieux’s bite incident is age restricted on UA-cam is the real Dangit.
I agree
so many fights are also age restricted
Charlie bit my finger is not age restricted... Did the NHL take over youtube with their bullshit. lol
Facts
quite fitting that Claude Lemieux's son would pull that type of crap
As a goaltender, I would really like the t-shirt that says “as a goaltender sometimes you tend the goal but things still don’t work out but if you tried your best…”
Imagine my disappointment when I went to buy the “if you’re a goal tender sometimes things don’t go your way but as long as you try your best it’s fine!” Shirt only to find it doesn’t exist.
just watched it. Wanted to buy it so badly
I want it too
It looked like Pasternak died a little inside when he missed that one timer.
too bad he own the flyers entire organization
And the outside
it sapped some of his life force
For #6, I love some of the players on Boston screaming “get back to the f-ing net!” While waving their sticks frantically lol
I’m just shocked how calm Tortz was after that call on #2 honestly
yep
He had had over 15 minutes to stomach the call though.
@@tob564 they didn't tell both coaches that they messed up until the teams came back out.
@@nbranski43 Yes but he most certainly had seen the replay already.
@NickPlayzHockey did you just call the 'Canes *not good* in OT?
I personally think that the ref who said “I just wanted to get the a f$&@ing penalty” and then got fired should be on here
Daddy Tim peel
He didn't get fired.
@@Kikuchan88 yeah he did
Was that in 2021 tho? Feels like that a long time ago.
welp, yep, google is your friend y'all. Should have been on.
Congratulations to the MN Wild on finally only being on the positive side of a year end Dang-It recap!
Has that ever happened before?
@@natizey3825 as a wild fan, i can say no
same with Ottawa surprisingly lol
Go Wild, baby.
20:15 "GET IN THE F**KING NET!! ITS TIED!!" 🤣🤣🤣
Rask: I THOUGHT THEY WERE WINNING!!!!!!!!!
1. RASK spacing out and heading to the bench with the game tied was HILARIOUS!!
2. "2 Bites is EATING" made me laugh out loud on the Lemieux 6.5 'situation'
Keep smiling 🤘 🙂
Maybe I'm an Isles homer, but I'll always love AJ's face when Panarin yeeted (yote?) the glove
yoot*
@@lime7494 deez two yoots
yoted?
The biggest dang-it of 2021 - in Producer Drew's eyes - is incredibly painful, as a Pens fan. I said it back in May, and I'll say it again: TRISTAN JARRY, WHAT ON EARTH WERE YOU THINKING?!
He's a avs fan
@@crazytomato1089 I know, and I'm a Pens fan, hence why I bring that up.
What do? D: Yeet Puck
Thank you Steve Dangle for the great content this year! Looking forward for more to come next year!
The sharks suck
@@crew4354 We suck now. Before we used to be really good though
@@arya_moghadam true
As a Penguins fan for over a decade I never seen a goal being allowed like that, Especially in a big game scenario in a playoff series. To this very day, I still can’t believe that happened! What was he thinking!?
He wasn't thinking, he was a young goaltender in his first big pressure situation in the playoffs, dumb stuff like that'll happen when you're feeling the heat
I just wanna say you have one of the most random favorite teams I’ve ever seen and I love it
And somehow that wasn't the worst play that happened in a Pittsburgh sports game
I would have though the Panarin/Wilson drama would make the list. As a rangers fan, I definitely haven’t forgotten about it
I would have put it in the top 5 at least. That whole thing was a huge dangit
The Panarin/Wilson intercation would likely be demonetized as well. It was violent, dangerous and unnecessary from Wilson (and foolish from Panarin, but he'd been under very high pressure off the ice).
The drama in the Rangers front office that followed, however, was indeed worthy of a Dang-It. Montréal certainly started to reap some benefits from it (by hiring Gorton). Time will tell where that leads.

Thank you, Steve (and Drew, wherever you might be) for all the great videos and wonderful times you've shared with us. Wishing you and your families a happy and healthy New Year, and I look forward to seeing more of your great content then.
I second this
Thank you, Steve, for putting Dang-its and Hat Pics together. I look forward to them every week! Being a goalie myself, I LOVE your reaction on a lot of the goaltender saves that make the hat pics (ESPECIALLY the paddle save emporium)... yet, I also enjoy "IF YER A GOALTENDER, TEND THE GOAL!"
Side note. When you said "Spasibo" (the russian thank you), closed captioning put it as "spacebars."
Thanks for another great year Steve! Your videos have been a much needed distraction and I'm looking forward to those still to come! Hope you had a great holiday season and I'll see you in the new year!
Pekka Rinne was one of those goalies who could play the puck!!
He was too good
@@deusvult6920 But was he too good right now?
Awesome Work Bro, Thanks and Happy New Year 2022!!!🍾🍾🍻🍻👍👍👍 Greetings from Helsinki, Finland 🇫🇮🇨🇦🇫🇮🇨🇦🇫🇮🇨🇦
Thank you for everything you do for us Steve! No matter what we’re going through your videos can always put a smile on our faces. Can’t wait for more!
Thank you very much for all your videos and this among all. Even my wife laughed at Tuukka Rasks dang it. Wish you a happy new year.
Good list but for me the Fleury blunder HAS to be #1. I mean it cost him his job after all 😂
Every episode, I have to sign thank you along with you. Love that you do it! (Don't like that my Caps were in this episode, but hey, at least they weren't #1 lol) HAVE A HAPPY, HEALTHY, AND SAFE NEW YEAR!
Lol #1 was rightfully given to the biggest dang it for sure. I think everyone has the same reaction along the lines of "jarry noooo " and "what the hell was he thinking"
What about the Tom Wilson incident? That aside, thank you for the great video and the year of memories Steve and everyone at SN!
The penguins one made me cry but so glad Jarry is having a good season so far
I would expect Wilson vs. Rangers and subsequent non-suspension for certain here.
I'm surprised at the lack of officiating dang-its in general. It seemed like there were two or three new ones a week at times
Hunh that one slipped off of my mind but yeah, as an outsider to this event it felt totally unbelievable to me as well.
ooohhh yeahhh.. that sirrrr.. is a dang it... Love the content mr dangle. keep up the good work .. you and producer drew.. also the others behind the scenes.
LOVE the new shirt concept!! 😆
Bernie (Parent… Flyers) would KISS the goal posts!!
Thanks for entertaining us again this year Steve! Best UA-cam videos hands down!
Tukka Rask leaving the net is my favourite for sure. Seeing him laughing after the play stopped is just priceless.
Huge fan of your work Steve!
Keep the fun going in 2022 👍👍🤞👋
Congratulations for your great work. I enjoy every Dangit video that you make. I am just surprised that the referee Chris Lee is not part of that Top-14-15. His work during the series between Montreal & Vegas was really bad.
“One bite is biting, two bites is EATING” 😂😂😂😂
Happy Dang It Day and Happy New Year!
Love watching Steve!!!!
ANyone else predicted Koskinen(1/3 oilers goaltender) was going to land in top 7 on the dang-it list?? That flop he made in october tho
I’m an Avs fan but Darcy kempers 3 equipment issues this season would have been another half point lol
Lol
18:03 "You bite ONCE, that's biting. You bite twice? *THAT'S EATING!*" Why yes, I do remember the line from the age restricted video, you all are welcome.
I'd probably buy that shirt! Lol
@@jennjenn8708 Who wouldn't? I'd buy it too.
Tbh Torts&the jackets review should’ve been #1
I think the Tom Wilson and Artemi Panarin ‘fight’ should be near the top
Thanks for showing the Islanders on the right side of the dang-its! Go Isles!!
Great channel... love all that you do!
Steve, what you do, you do very well. You keep me on top of what is going on back in the homeland, whilst I chuckle, lol, and scream with you, "if you're a goaltender..."
Thanks bud. So in addition to your Mom, even Canadians outside of Canada like you. Sorry about the hiatus...You're just gonna have to use old footage...don't take a break.
I remember a play in a Bruins game where a player on the opposing team (Blackhawks maybe?) broke his stick, and threw one of the pieces carelessly and it went over the boards. The refs gave him and his team a penalty, then at the next stoppage they allowed the other team to be even strength because the guy didn't mean to throw the stick over the boards and didn't know it wasn't allowed. Their logic was that he should be punished for his wrongdoing but the team shouldn't be. There's an example of a penalty being erased part way through
Something similar happened in 2005 to Mats Sundin. He threw the stick over the crowd and didn't get penalized. The league suspended him for 1 game. Also in, like, 2016, when Steven Stamkos got a misconduct for throwing the stick into the crowd.
Only thing I really felt was missing, as many others have said, was the Tom Wilson vs. NYR bullhockey, but I also get it if they didn't want to beat that dead horse. Still, feels like it holds the crown of "Dang-it #0" to me to that end; we all know the truest dang it of the year, aside from these 14.5, is that one. It holds the unspoken crown. I mean... when you get a team like the Rangers to a point to have to speak out against the league and you yourself can make more than half a dang its video talking about it, that tops any whiffed call from the refs, any own goals, and any goaltenders who DON'T TEND THE GOAL!
All that aside, great content as always, and looking forward to a wonderful 2022 watching some good ol Steve Dangle content 🙂
That Samsonov one was miscommunication, the player coming back didn't realize Smith was bombing down the ice after him.
That Pastrnak reaction after the miss was the best.
I totally forgot about number 2. That was
As a low tier, 43 year old, beer league, roller hockey goalie; I'm am guilty of all of these goalie "dang it"s. This always makes me smile a little because I know how it feels.
I was at the game when Panarin threw his glove at Marchand, It was the thanksgiving game lol XD. The real dangit was I was in the bathroom at the time :p
omg yes the Jarry dang it I was getting worried it wasn't in the video, it's my favorite dang it of the year maybe even all time (besides Tampa getting swept in 2019) and it's the number one dang it I love it!
Oh my God, Steve's Dang-Its. Best show on UA-cam!!!!!!!!!!!
The Tuukka Rask part 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 i Literally cried laughing
if you play hockey at any level, you have probably committed one or two of these kinds of mistakes/dang its, i know i have. ok well not the biting thing, but the rest of the goalie ones anyways. the only difference is when it happens to us we break sticks, someone else we laugh our asses off. Got to love Hockey.
Happy New Year Steve and Co. Thanks for the laughs looking forward to more.
Can’t imagine what Fleury was thinking when he gave that puck away. I think VGK traded him to punish him for that blunder.
he obviously didn’t mean to give it away lol. the puck bounced unexpectedly off the board, so when MAF tried to pass it, it hit his skate.
Love ur show and news ur the best GO LEAFS GO can’t wait to meet someday
One bite is biting. Two bites IS EATING.
And I'm dead.
Brandon Lemieux plays hockey like he is Mileena from Mortal Kombat.
The UA-cam algorithm is the ultimate DangIt!
Surprised that the Fleury screw up wasn’t number 1. That pretty much changed the entire series.
Yup
2:13 you forgot Ron Hextall. Martin Brodeur said Hextall inspired him in how good he was at handling the puck. He also said he didn’t like the fighting.
The dang it for Weegar’s own goal the shot total went up for the Panthers after the own goal.
Feel for Rittich. I did the same in high school...soccer...so comparatively, his reaction is well reasoned. 'Least he had the mask on.🤕
Drew on point with the editing as usual
The Blake Elliot blunder tonight would've DEFINITELY made it on here tonight.
Lmao yup
How is the fleury dang it not top 3, there is few things worse then costing your team a third round series (I don’t think the head bang was worse)
Agree with you. I think it was just an editing decision to have some space between that and the Jarry play - like not putting back to back slow songs on a playlist. As a fan of none of those teams, the pens one was worse. With Fleury it kind of happened TO him. With Jarry, it happened BY him
Happy New Years to Steve and the great people at SPORTSNET who are bringing us some great Sports content and video's.
Hopefully we get an episode next week for this week’s hockey, Brian Elliot helped the Rangers beat the Lightning last night, twice.
As a goalie, I can tell ya we are a strange bunch. That David Rittich headbutt seemed normal to me. Headbutting each other was a sacred pregame ritual for me and my friend
Was always proud of Panarin for speaking truthfully about the political situation in Russia. Especially being a public figure from there. He has a lot of eyes on him. Ballsy move. Just glad his family is okay.
I think, once, Jacques Laimaire did it from Center Ice Against My Idol The Late Great Tony O Esposito (Chicago Black Hawks in The 70s, as they'd then been called). I can't remember if it was In Montreal or Chicago. Hey Drew, even though it's going to Break My Heart, do you have that?
Steve is going to have a field day with dang-its from the Rangers and Lightning game last night
Brian Elliott wants a contract in New York apparently
I think the number 1 Dang-It this year is the NHL allowing ESPN to televise their games.
Me at the outset: maybe there won't be any dang-its by the Collapsitals.
Me four minutes in: Oh dang it I forgot Samsonov exists.
Glad to see Steve has gone back to his 2012 camera
Hey Steve where's the Gallagher goal on Soup in Game 7? wooooo! Lol Happy New Year.
Happy New Year everyone.
I saw a dang-it in person: CBJ fires confetti early before they had actually won the shootout. Incredibly funny.
That was 3 years ago (I think) and I was there too. They thought they scored an Ot winner, but the clock had run out. They celebrated then lost in a SO. As a hawks fan it was so funny
@@JacksonPinchot actually it happened Thursday night against the predators too. This time they ended up winning, though.
@@hunterhicks6726 wow
Torts must be taking anger management classes.
Why’d you have to make me rewatch that Bailey goal, I had forgot about it…….
Can we please get a “one bite is biting, two bites is eating” shirt 🤩💕 thanks!
We love you Steve and producer Drew!!
Red Wings being showcased on the good side of a Dangit and in Hatpicks is itself a hatpick
You should have put in the Marc-Andre-Fleury glove whiff with 0.8 secs to go in the first period. Also the five hole whiff
Since Dangle used the quote, all goalies are worried about losing their brains lol
I was watching the Carolina-Columbus game when the incident happened. I was like what? it is a great memory
Steve, When you said Play Benny Hill theme I lost it....
I know this video is about hockey, but Steve, you have some amazing blue eyes. Cheers to the new year!!
I agree with that assessment.
Ive blocked that Jarry give away from my memory 🙃🙃🙃
As a penguins fan this hurts so much to be the worst dang it. Oh man. This is tough to watch BUT this decision was a right call. If any dang it hurts to watch is that one and well that's the point of dang its. So yeah. But noooo but yeah...love the colorful commentary. The canes jacket #2is your funniest take though for sure. I laughed so hard.
Jarry has two news: one good, one bad.
Good - you got a gold medal
Bad - in Steve's Dang-Its 2020 list :)
Yeah..... Saw that #1 coming. Still haunts just about every Pens fan, and leaves the lingering question about Jarry for this season even with his incredible start. I'm pretty sure I went through all five stages of grief within seconds of seeing that Jarry Dang-It, and then some.
"The Bite lol" lmao
I still love that Islanders fans were chanting Varlamov's name when he had absolutely nothing to do with Pastrnak drilling the post
As a beer league goalie, I feel so much better after watching this
34:35
Option 1: Safe pass to Matheson left
Option 2: Slightly dangerous but reasonable pass to Malkin right
Jarry: Up the middle and on the tape of Bailey for the GWG
Defensemen don't even go up the middle. Only time I'll agree with Pierre. You just can't do that
On #10, if you go through frame-by-frame, you can see that the puck fall between his glove and his blocker, slide down the front of his pants behind the pads, and drop between his legs.
The worst thing with Fleury's gaffe is that not only did it caused a cascade that very well could be the Catalyst for Montreal winning the series, it is also likely the catalyst for Fleury being effectively traded for free. I feel for the guy.
"Bar down or it doesn't count"--Adam Larsson (probably)
I went in order: ovie, stammer, Laine, pasta. Not sure how I was that spot on 😂
#1 reminded me of the 2007 WCF Game 5 blunder by the Red Wings against the Ducks. Also a 2-2 series and ended in OT because of a stupid turnover to Teemu Selanne in front of Dominik Hasek. Ducks would go on to win Game 6 and win the Stanley Cup against Ottawa.
the fleury one hurt a lot & I don’t like reliving it.
*Steve uploads this*
Brian Elliott: hold my beer
I was hoping the very recent Devils vs Oilers NHL ruling was gonna be on here, coz that was a massive dang it :D
Look at the last replay of 9 again, Sturm tapped his stick. The goalie presumably heard that and seeing his 2 defenceman assumed one of them called for it, except none of the D picked it up because they didn't call for it. Sturm with the big brain play
18:30 that link 😂😂
