I agree with you, but the original premise was admirable. Transparency in all aspects of government is needed. There’s a reason we don’t know how a public service job that pays $100k plus, turns into million dollar bank accounts.
Term limits for every electable office would also help. The lifers are the reason we are sunk.

    1) Start your own company. 2) That was the most convincing speech I've ever heard against hacktivism. However, I dont think your effort was in vain. Cops getting busted for being tyrants and murderers has caused the mass rollout of bodycams. Blue backing Blue has really started dissolving because of it and society gets to see what happened. It's to the point where inability to provide bodycam footage when things go down is basically asking for a riot. For that, your contribution played a role and I am thankful for the sacrifices you made. Thank you, w0rmer, you deserve that caring, hot blonde aussie! :D

“Blue backing blue has started dissolving” is probably the most delusional thing ive ever heard. As long as the taxpayer is left to pay for their fuck ups and all they get is a slap on the wrist, nothing will change

The road to hell is paved with good intentions. Just because you spark something or are the straw that breaks the camels back, doesnt mean you're worthy of praise for it. If i accidentally kick a rock and it kills hitler but could have easily landed on someone else, it doesnt make me a hero. You can praise that the act had a good effect but not the person who took it into their own hands.

I'm honestly curious to know if the hacker attempted to cover-up his tracks and the FBI was able to simply unweave it all or did he just leave his IP Address open (maybe in defiance or perhaps some naivety)? I understand that this took place around the time when VPNs were just becoming popular, but Tor had been around for 10 years or so and of course other proxy services had been around for quite a while, at that point. Does anyone know what the history of thinking behind when the Police raid hackers, they nearly always go in with a lot of heavy force. Ie in this case 5 heavily armed FBI agents + probably many others.
Every hacker I've heard of them raiding have been raided with huge amounts of tactical response or swat, etc
Hackers have never been known to be tough or violent, so why the need for heavy force?

If you dig deep enough, everything is public record. Swatters find celebrity homes by combing through public real estate transaction and tax records. If they posted the address on twitter, that would still be doxxing because it was hidden despite being technically "public". The nutcase who sees the tweet and shows up there with a rifle wouldn't have if it was a matter of scrolling through documents for hours.

Yes. You can FOIA request all kinds of "invasive" information from any government entity in the USA. Just don't expect to actually GET the actual information. Each entity can and or will deny the request, Redact the information, or never even acknowledge that a request was made. All at their own whim and will, without fear of accountability.
We are meant to force them and fight for the Rights that are clearly established.
We do that by submitting Complaints and complaints about the lack of transparency. Also by following up those complaints with lawsuits... It's hard and expensive for regular folks.
      Remember...
