  • MIG-29 to the Edge of Space and gravitational Stress
Unfortunately, the flights with the world legendary MIG-29 stopped in September 2017 after 11 years of flying our clients.
A flight with the MIG-29 "Fulcrum" to the edge of space is a spectacular and very emotional experience. Depending on weather conditions and a total weight of the plane the flight will take you to altitudes between 56,000 and 72,000 feet. These are the capabilities. The height what you can reach on your flight day depends on the weather conditions of the flight day. (Temperature levels below the stratosphere).
If you want to see the flight in total out of the view of the backseater and will listen to the communication, have a look here: • MIG-29 Flight To The E...
And by the way: the formula what you see on Michael's visor is Newton's law of universal gravity. German artist Michael Najjar performed a high altitude MIG-29 flight.
Michael Najjar is a German artist, adventurer and - future astronaut. Born in 1966, he has lived and worked in Berlin since 1988. His work is shown in museums, galleries and biennials around the world.
He works with photography and video. The focus of his work is on key elements of our modern society driven and controlled by computer and information technologies. Najjar, widely seen as a visual futurist, transmutes science, history and philosophy into visions and utopias of future social structures emerging under the impact of cutting-edge technologies. His current work series "outer space" deals with the latest developments in space flight and the way they will shape our future life on earth and in the piles of earth near orbit.
He used the footage and the pictures of his art line "Outer Space". His interest was to go as as high as possible and to do a lot of rolls. Both you can see in this video. Test pilot Yuri Polyakov flown him through the sound barrier, to the edge of space and did a lot of rolls during the descent from high above. The stunning pictures of Earth's atmosphere are a result of this flight.

Attention: all people who think that Earth is flat should think about to increase knowledge. Humans experience is available nowadays 365/7/24. 500 years ago people were set on fire because they told that Earth is a sphere and that the sun is the centre and not the sphere called Earth. The video (and others we make) was made with GoPro Cameras, what are the state of the art action cams nowadays. These cameras using ultra-wide lenses with 170 degrees, precisely those cameras are known for. It's called barrel distortion, which gives more sized imagery. We do not have to talk about more physics, laws and knowledge, what is known since hundred of years.
And a final note to "The Edge of Space":
The border at the edge of space is defined by the Karman Line at 360,000 feet altitude. This is certainly a physical boundary, where aerodynamics stops, and astronautics begins.
The using of the expression "edge of space" is also referring to a region below the conventional 100 km boundary to space, which is often meant to include substantially lower regions as well, for flights with high atmospheric balloons or aircraft what are flying mostly higher than normal aircraft.

If you think the earth is flat, just don't comment.

Ok, Newton's equacion of the Universal Gravitation on the helmet while you're going to the edge of earth is badass as fuck.

The fact you've used arguably one of the best Ace Combat songs for this video gives me goosebumps.

Thanks for sharing this. Ever since I was a kid, I have had a deep love for modern air combat. The MiG-29 Fulcrum and the F-16 Falcon have always been a couple of my favorite jets on earth. Great video!

A word in personal matter: Since 2 years, comments are increasing here from "flat earth believers". It doesn't make any sense to discuss with those people facts, science and physics and we will not respond to such requests or quotes anymore. Whether in our video descriptions neither via e-mails.

Okay, fans! We crossed today the 9 million views mark on UA-cam and still only 995,000 views away to reach a giant milestone, the 10 million views mark! Let it flow!

Ever since I was a kid, the MIG has been my favourite piece of engineering. The fact that an airplane this old can still hold its own, is a testament to its greatness. These airplanes can take off without worrying about little debris, unlike the American planes.
