TBH while watching this video I realized that my phone (OP7P) is actually 2 years old. Its a beast of a phone, with great design, decent camera and great UI.
The 7 pro is still a great device, especially if you don't mind the pop up selfie camera. OnePlus messed it a bit with its recently Android 11 update but hopefully they can improve it soon. I miss the full screen without any holes or notches!
Im using realme X (popup phone from realme) if i ever wanted an another device.. then it is oneplus 7 pro.. the display is soooo mouth watering.... The industry stoped pop-up cameras.. that's sad 🙁
Not having a hole or notch in the diplay in exchange for not having a constant front facing camera should be plus for anyone not obecessed with taking their own picture...
The funny thing is this phone, when it was announced, the new camera was heavily marketed. There were photos supposedly taken by this phone teased before it launched. OnePLus always hypes how fantastic the new cameras are, but they never come close to living up to those promises.
@@Applejaxman yeah Android 11 is fine. The latest update is pretty stable. I just noticed some lag while playing videos, specially on UA-cam, but that's about it. The front camera is good, no issues.
Same here. Great UI, decent camera and all day battery. Not to mention great LTE speed I too am finding it hard to justify an upgrade after almost 2 years.

I just got it and wish I did sooner. Was kinda afraid to put down my Galaxy but I'm so glad I did. I wanted something full screen and this does not disappoint
Given my limited use of the camera. Rear camera like once in 4 days, front camera thrice an year, I really dig this uninterrupted design. I wish more manufacturers would have adopted it.
I love that they focused on speed, no other phone than an IPhone is this fast 2 years later However I feel this becomes less and less of an issue because of the insane good chips these days
I've got mine a few days after its release. I still have it and I want to keep using it for at least one more year. I simply don't feel the need for an upgrade. I personally feel that it was the best phone I could buy at that time.
I got mine back in October of 2019, still runs perfectly like new, no issues at all with anything, battery is still all day battery too, love it! Absolutely no need at all to upgrade or change my phone. The curved display never really bothered me, and like you said, a case easily fixes that, which btw a free case was included with the phone. No complaints or issues at all. P.S. This series is so good. Keep it up Mark!
Man, this reminds me of the time when I just graduated from High School and wanted I new phone but couldn't afford to shell out for an OnePlus 7 Pro so I did the next most logical thing and bought the realme X, it too has a no notch display albeit with a 60Hz panel
Yeah, this phone is indeed a long term solution. I had even attended it's launch event in India and purchased it too. Unfortunately, I left it behind in the cab and later some thug stole it away 😪
I don't know why everyone has accidental touches with a curved display, but I, personally have never had any issues. And IMO, curved display's look waay more modern and gestures feel a lot better.
This was my best buy ever. Currently getting around 6h of screen on time with heavy usage. The only thing that I don't love is the curved display, but you get used to it with a case. For the cameras, just get Gcam mod and you are good to go.
I changed the battery a month ago and noticed the big improvement. Feels like a new phone again with Android 11 now that some of the big bugs have been fixed
I had been using it for the past two years until recently. The 4G one. It got updated to Android 11 last month (April) and then there were some issues for an otherwise a great performing device. The gallery reloading and higher battery drain were two main issues I noticed after the update. However, I sold it a couple of weeks back for 50% of the original price after using it for two years. It had been a great device for all this while though only slightly let down by its camera system. PS: The screen on this device is the real gem. Such a surreal experience.
The previous update completely ruined mine ( t-mobile variant) kept having to force reset because after it would lock the screen wouldn't turn back and became unresponsive, 2 days after that update and with it still with the issue, it ended up deleting all my data by factory reseting itself and the problem still persists! :/ loved the phone prior to that ( even with the bugs it had previously) but now I want nothing to do with oneplus out of fear...
I don't find him honest on the quality of the camera. I spent hours and hours back then watching camera comparisons between Iphone, Samsung 10, Pixel 3 and Huawei P30 pro. They all had pros and cons and the OP7pro was not that good at night but with its day poctires and the 2 other objectives it was as good as the others. And since the last gcam updates it explodes any phone from that year and even competes with actual flagships, ultras aside of course.
I love this phone. I usually change phone after 12-15 months but I'm still rockin this phone phone after 26ish months. Battery life is still pretty good but I forced the phone to run 90hz for everything. Thinking of installing Lineage OS but worried I wouldn't be able to install some of my apps I need for work.
I think that Android 10 is the best OS right now for OP7Pro , i downgraded my OP7Pro to Android 10 for better battery life and no heating issues. Also the camera quality is better in Android 10
I've still got a op7.. and it got android 11 update since like 1.5 months.. and got another bug fix 1 week ago with a security patch update.. so not sure why a op 7 pro wouldn't have..

I have the OnePlus 7t pro 5g Mclaren edition. Still to this day one of the best phones I ever have. The display is the best, no notch or hole punch in corner. It aged very well, especially recently update for Android 11.
Yah I still love mine. I recently got the 8t (last week) and sure its slightly faster but not enough to warrant the upgrade. This one fell in my lap for 250 Canadian
For who are interested in this phone, can install Gcam and your worry about bad photography will be gone. For myself have been using Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 6P, Pixel 2XL was impressed with the camera performance when OP7Pro snap photo using Gcam and last year I've turned from loyal Nexus/Pixel user to Oneplus 8 Pro(previously I didn't really like Oneplus before).
I'm still using mine. I bought a Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra to replace it... Which I've just sold, and gone back to the OP7 Pro. I use it for my Instagram and to record all my UA-cam videos too.
Watching this on my OP 7 Pro❤️ Absolutely love the phone after all this time. Such a fluid and amazing experience. The end to end display is the best. Bought it for 54k INR and still it's a great value for that money!
I certainly love mine, but I'm starting to think about running Lineage OS to get more frequent security updates, and Lineage has always been awesome for me in the past. Great phone though. Hoping Lineage gives the phone longer life as Oneplus starts to ignore it (more).
Not surprised that it still holds up as I'm here, still rocking my OnePlus 2 (LineageOS 17.1) that works lag-free till date. Also, I had dropped it a couple of times and gotta tell you it's built like a tank! Just the battery has degraded over the 5.5yrs of its use and soon I'm gonna keep this as a secondary phone and am going with the Asus Zenfone 8 when it launches here in India.

Fixed the screen on it due to some screen burn in, and now it is my house phone. After buying the iphone 12 mini as a street phone the Oneplus 7 pro is the best media experience at home due to being the only bezelless 1440p high refresh rate phone that exists.
Having bought the 7Pro Mclaren just recently, I was concerned with the pop up camera mechanism failing. Glad to know that isn't a problem. My One Plus 3T 128 still works too. Definitely comfortable with One Plus company. Looking to get the OP watch as well.
I'm still happy with my Oneplus 7T. Bought it one year after release for about 500eur. For that price a really great phone! If i need to take really good photos i take my camera with me. But in daylight the 7T shoots really nice pictures! and all the rest is just great! Although the smartphone was released at the end of 2019, it already has a 90Hz display. Apple users can still dream of this today!
Yea it's weird how Samsung match up with Pixel in terms of update atm or maybe even better since Galaxy now received std 4 years security update, 1 more year than Pixel phones. Kudos to them

Typing from OP7 Pro, loving it, performing without any glitches whatsoever! Also weird you didn't get the update, perhaps related to Spring? I got Android 11 through regular OTA, running smooth as silk.
Yeah I bought one at launch just to try something other than a Pixel and the only complaint I have is how long it took for them to push Android 11. The front camera mechanism has always worked perfectly. I've had the silicone case it came with on it since I bought it and even that's great. I can't tell you how many times I've dropped my phone and/or gotten it wet or even soaked. Still works as good as it did back then. This is the first I don't upgrade my phone the next year. I'm still rocking it and I'm perfectly happy with it. I probably will upgrade to the Pixel 6 though if it's as cool as they're hyping up.
can you please tell me. do you feel any difference when it comes the the haptics compared to the oneplus 9 pro ? i have a 7 pro since the day it came out and i also have a oneplus nord, and the haptics feel very good and solid on both of them. recently i ordered a 9 pro and imidiately i noticed the haptics made this one feel very hollow and cheap... i sent it back to receive another one but also the second one had the same issue. so now i'm wonering, is this normal ? do you also experience this ?

Oxygen 11 works very well for me although there is no compelling reason not to remain with the excellent Oxygen 10.

They're rolling out the android 12 beta already.. which means 12 will probably be stable instead of bug fixes on the 11

Probably the best Oneplus till date from every aspect including price.I wouldnt say Oneplus 8 pro as launch price was high but now dropped a lot.

It, like the cameras, is a standard theme that most commenters do not actually research.
Its my first curved screen. Trying to adapt. I dont have touch issues. It just seems weird that the image sometimes has the text bent to the edges.

Same they ruined it with the last update. My phone is literally lagging sometimes and heats up and drains really fast I regret installing Android 11 😭

I'll still prefer this anyday over 8 or 9 series, it was launched at Perfect price point and a complete value for the money.

Yeah I bought one at launch just to try something other than a Pixel and the only complaint I have is how long it took for them to push Android 11. The front camera mechanism has always worked perfectly. I've had the silicone case it came with on it since I bought it and even that's great. I can't tell you how many times I've dropped my phone and/or gotten it wet or even soaked. Still works as good as it did back then. This is the first I don't upgrade my phone the next year. I'm still rocking it and I'm perfectly happy with it. I probably will upgrade to the Pixel 6 though if it's as cool as they're hyping up.
I have been using my OP7 Pro updated to Android 11(not beta) since a month.. so Software update...I'm not really sure about that

i have a 7 pro since the day it came out and i also have a oneplus nord, and the haptics feel very good and solid on both of them.
recently i ordered a 9 pro and imidiately i noticed the haptics made this one feel very hollow and cheap...
i sent it back to receive another one but also the second one had the same issue.
so now i'm wonering, is this normal ? do you also experience this ?
