Hey mate! Thanks ) My mouse and keyboard can be used both on Windows and Mac so I just switch the bluetooth output on the devices.. it takes literally 2 seconds :)
Nice setup. Why do you still use Mac Mini while you have more powerful new MacBook 14"? This Xiaomi monitor is quite nice but it lacks USB-C with PD and DPI on these 34" 3440x1440 monitors is a little bit too low for me, comparing with 32" 4k screens - I work mostly with text... but it's very good for gaming because there is a half of the pixels count comparing to the 4k screen, easier to handle by the GPU.
To be honest I used the Mac Mini a lot throughout the year but since the Macbook Pro came out I only use the MM when I forget my Macbook at the office :) yes indeed it would be great if the monitor had USB-C but hey we cant have everything for a good price
Hey Rad, Nice Setup. How does the Text look like on this Ultrawide monitor. I have the exact some specs but from Huawei, however the text rendering was horrible from the MBP M1.
@@Radbali Yes . I have the MateView GT 34 . I then later used BetterDummy, and the text now look much better. Give it a try if you haven't already and compare the text, then let me know : )) BetterDummy tricks the mac to render your display into a Hidpi mode. This alone tells that Mac is capable of making the text look nice but simply ignores it on the ultrawide at least on mine lol
I also have a 3440x1440 monitor but the text seems too small and there is no resizing option. There are special software such as SwitchResX and BetterDummy to overcome this problem but they often give me problems. Do you use default text size for 3440x1440 resolution?

Yeah I think the weight is the most important :) I think my monitor is around 7kg without the stand so I have no problems :) but happy that you found a solution mate!

If I would use the normal monitor stand then yeah it might be too narrow, but if you mount your display the same way I did you should be fine :) I also dont really like to sit too far away from the monitor

Sometimes also playing just with the "Sharpness" option on a display helped but I will try the BetterDummy thanks mate! :)
