We stayed in the same RV park last fall - two weeks. Left on October 15th. We too fell in love with Ouray. Spent two weeks in Silverton as well. We are from central Florida and are heading back out to the San Juan mountains again this summer. Love driving the Million Dollar Highway between Ouray & Silverton. F450 with toyhauler.
I am glad you show all the beautiful pictures because I am 80 years old and can no longer see these beautiful sights. Thank you for allowing me to go with you on your journeys.
Again. Thanks for the pause at major route signs. I have traveled Hwy 50 east bound from Montrose and along the Arkansas River. I stayed at Ridgeway State Park with a beautiful view of the lake (North of Ouray). Also drove the million dollar highway in a Class C,. Hwy 50 is A beautiful drive coasting downhill eastbound towards the Midwest plains and into Kansas. Thanks for the tag along. I enjoyed the memories. Nice video and audio. hiking is my favorite activity…I am 74 and have been involved in hiking clubs all my life. Love seeing your video travels and variety of restaurants is fun to see.

Great video. Have actually waited to watch this for when I had time to fully enjoy it. I've never been brave enough to get out to that area from Colorado Springs. Long drive, narrow roads. And it needs time there to enjoy it. So glad you had a good experience. And so glad you are both healthy enough to do those hikes. You mentioned you wondered about showing too much of the areas to spoil the surprise....please show it, I can never make it up there, if you don't show it, I can't see it!
I often take hwy 50 from Canon city to Salida just for a Sunday drive. I love it thru there, Blue mesa is beautiful too, someday I'll get to camp there. Being born here and proud of Colorado I hate that we are now known for the pot, but Michele's face was priceless LOL the Mtns can get hairy but so worth it. Enjoy

Great episode, beautiful! Also great commentary on the parks cell coverage. We use the Speedtest app too on arrival. Another tool we use that gives us an idea on cell coverage and strength is an app called “Coverage Map” by rootmetrics. You can search your destination in the US before your arrive to see which carrier performs best and how strong a signal is usually available. Think of it as a searchable repository of all the signal strengths collected over time, layered over a map of the US. Really enjoy your reviews and editing .. great content! .

The only problem with “Coverage Map” and other reviews also, is it gives the area like the campgrounds, but not specifics in different spots of the campgrounds plus things change over time. It’s amazing how you can move just a few feet and get an entirely different speed sometimes. Thanks again! 🧡😊🤓
You guys crack me up. Haha! Mountains--beautiful to look at, very scary to drive thru. I white knuckle it also. Once I even laid down in the seat for my own peace of mind and for the others in the vehicle. LOL

Those are both places that we want to go on our next trip through. That’s the bad thing when you make reservations somewhere, then you may not have time to do everything before needing to leave and get to the next place. Ouray is a must for sure.

That’s so sweet Vivian, thank you...but the overexposed footage made me so sick. I was so disappointed especially when there was no good fix in Final Cut Pro OR and with many LUTs that I tried to use. We went back the next morning before we left and luckily got a few videos to add to show better clarity. Thanks again so much! 🧡😊🤓

We have camped in both campgrounds. We pull a fifth wheel with a UTV on a trailer behind. If you had pucker factor between Canon City and Salina don’t go south out of Ouray on 550.
“Pucker factor” 😂🤣 Well, Michelle did for sure which was why she insisted that I change our route and not take the Million Dollar Highway. She says...”maybe in a smaller RV”. Looks like we’re looking for a smaller RV. 😉
We stayed at that same RV Park as Ute guys!!!! Haha. Love the walk around the river. And the falls is gorgeous! I love 💕 Ouray. Silverton is pretty cool 😎. Look so forward to your videos! Have fun!

I really like that area,it’s been a while Sense we were there,Teluride Colorado is another neat old mining town. It’s not to far from Where you are at ! Enjoy Colorado is amazing !

Just discovered your videos. I love what you showed in this video, always different in person! Thank you for filming the trail to High Bridge - won't be doing that one, omg! Stayed at Mesa Verde Campground last year. I was almost in tears when we got to the bottom when we left. I am a wimp when it comes to heights! Have fun and stay safe and healthy!
Had to keep looking away during this video. I am terrified of heights!!! My heart was beating fast and my palms were sweating. Could never do the drive or hikes.

You traveled on some roads we have traveled on! We have been on the Hwy 50 in Colorado for a number of years, our favorite vacation area! Too bad you were in a hurry to get to Ouray, there's alot of places to see and things to do in Salida and Gunnison! We'll be traveling that road later this month when we go to Rainbow Lake Resort west of Buena Vista.

Love all your videos every Saturday morning. Wish we had known you were in Cowtown and the stockyards a week or so ago. We live near DFW airport and would have loved to have met you there. We love Fort Worth and the cultural district, Sundance Square downtown and the Stockyards too.

It really didn’t bother me much at all, I’m pretty used to it - Michelle however, it makes her very nervous. That’s why we changed our plans to not take the Million Dollar Highway you’re speaking about. She tells me, that we will go back to drive it “next time”. 😉 We hear it is a beautiful drive.

You two are wonderful and thank you for this video. I just emailed your video and RV park information out to the family for consideration of Ouray as the family reunion spot for next summer. We needed RV spots, cabins, mountains and a dialysis facility (41 minutes north in Montrose) to fit everyone's request. That hike up to the falls would kill me, but I have a year to start getting ready for it. Thank you so much.

I was just Through that area last week on a motorcycle trip I would have to agree riding 50 was an awesome ride. I did not spend nearly as much time in town as you my trip was more about the ride. really enjoyed seeing the rest of the town from your perspective thanks.

You’re at my own stamping ground. I’ve learned to drive on these highways by looking straightahead keeping the car in between the lines don’t look left don’t look right. That way you don’t scare yourself.

Ridgeway state park is one of my favorites. Just know the hot springs in ridgeway are clothing optional all the time. Might of been surprised by that when we went. Lol

I am afraid of heights too. My wife and I were at the Grand Canyon and my wife can stand close to the edge, while I watch here from 100 yards back!
I can’t get to the edge that’s for sure...maybe with railing...maybe. 😂

Those are both places that we want to go on our next trip through. That’s the bad thing when you make reservations somewhere, then you may not have time to do everything before needing to leave and get to the next place. Ouray is a must for sure.

That’s so sweet Vivian, thank you...but the overexposed footage made me so sick. I was so disappointed especially when there was no good fix in Final Cut Pro OR and with many LUTs that I tried to use. We went back the next morning before we left and luckily got a few videos to add to show better clarity. Thanks again so much! 🧡😊🤓

We have camped in both campgrounds. We pull a fifth wheel with a UTV on a trailer behind. If you had pucker factor between Canon City and Salina don’t go south out of Ouray on 550.

LivinRVision I'm terrified of heights too, but I did it. I was crying in terror on the way down! Collapsed at the bottom. I'm glad I did it though. Next time won't be so bad.

Just discovered your videos. I love what you showed in this video, always different in person! Thank you for filming the trail to High Bridge - won't be doing that one, omg! Stayed at Mesa Verde Campground last year. I was almost in tears when we got to the bottom when we left. I am a wimp when it comes to heights! Have fun and stay safe and healthy!

You traveled on some roads we have traveled on! We have been on the Hwy 50 in Colorado for a number of years, our favorite vacation area! Too bad you were in a hurry to get to Ouray, there's alot of places to see and things to do in Salida and Gunnison!
We'll be traveling that road later this month when we go to Rainbow Lake Resort west of Buena Vista.

Love all your videos every Saturday morning. Wish we had known you were in Cowtown and the stockyards a week or so ago. We live near DFW airport and would have loved to have met you there. We love Fort Worth and the cultural district, Sundance Square downtown and the Stockyards too.

It really didn’t bother me much at all, I’m pretty used to it - Michelle however, it makes her very nervous. That’s why we changed our plans to not take the Million Dollar Highway you’re speaking about. She tells me, that we will go back to drive it “next time”. 😉 We hear it is a beautiful drive.

RV Traveling MIA Researcher The train ride from Silverton to Durango was spectacular!
You two are wonderful and thank you for this video. I just emailed your video and RV park information out to the family for consideration of Ouray as the family reunion spot for next summer. We needed RV spots, cabins, mountains and a dialysis facility (41 minutes north in Montrose) to fit everyone's request. That hike up to the falls would kill me, but I have a year to start getting ready for it. Thank you so much.
We believe you and the family would absolutely love it there! Hopefully by next summer more things will be open and available, like more of the hot springs. This is one place that has made it on our top places to return to list! Stay safe and have a Happy 4th! 🇺🇸😁🤓
