  • In these meditations, we discuss the need to stay focused when fighting up hill, how an oppressive list can feel for the person on the other side of the table, and how solid play, backed up by strong rules, can take the day in Star Wars Shatterpoint!

Inferno Squad is very good. All those passive out of turn benefits. Vader ES, Stormtrooper Captain, Dark Troopers with Iden, Hask and ISF Scouts seems to be a very consistent list.
Del can get *a* good shot off, but is way less mobile and loses the Coordinated Fire synergy so Dark Troopers are still top dogs there I think.
You can have Vader shove people away from objectives and leave them right on the cusp of wounding with the passive +1 Strike and Coordinated Fire adding Strained to enemies, your other units can sit on the back objectives and are surprisingly resilient to damage with their Defensive Expertise charts.
Then right after Struggle 1 concludes you can pick preferential active objectives and slam into the enemy back to back to back, Recover, Bonus movement > empowered attack > bonus movement > bonus movement > free conditions and steamroll through Struggle 2. And it would be every card you draw.
The explosive shift in aggression after slow chipping at the enemy in Struggle 1 is where Vader ES likes to live, and Inferno Squad just seems to play into that even more.
