I’m not exactly sure what the singer has been through but the way he’s able to portray it in his lyrics is absolutely amazing. Thank you for the music.
Unfortunately I lost my 5 year nephew to cancer in November. I first heard this band the when I got the devastating news 3 years ago he had it. I've never cried to music so much in my life and I'm not ashamed to say that. Joana in five acts really gets me..
So amazing...This band is beyond good. Out-doing The Killers in the same space. They should be huge. Wishing them much success with this new album. The 2 tracks thus far have been outstanding. Keep getting better....Much appreciated.
Spanish Love Songs is the kind of band I can't listen to on repeat again and again, because then I'd probably shoot myself. But every now and then their songs come on shuffle and it's like a nice occasion that I really enjoy because they are just so freaking good.
WTF WTF WTF WTF WTF You ever just hear a song that speaks to you? Feels like these lyrics were written for me. I don't know how they do it but everything Spanish Love Songs makes is better than the last.
First comment lol - wow! What a different vibe, leaning into the disco ball imagery with the soundscape, so different from Brave Faces - love it but still partial to all of Brave Faces Everyone. Also once again I just wish both albums had different cover art, no shade. Love artists trying new things and pushing themselves out wherever they feel they want to go. Keep rockin Spanish Love Songs :)
what was the transition in sound, ie what was the sound like before? i'm only subbed to the label, so rarely do i hear a song that makes me actually go look any of the artists' other works up, especially when they have goofy names (although prince daddy and the hyena was a pleasant surprise), but i may do a deep dive on the band - ig considering on what kind of reply if any i get here.
@@na-vn5qy thanks for the question! I highly recommend listening to the song “Routine Pain” from the album “Brave Faces Everyone” as it’s the first track and if you are grabbed by it, just let that whole album play and you’ll be transported to a very raw, emotional place, standing in someone else’s shoes for the runtime. The sound is more raw, more rock, more catchy riffs, lyrics are very emotional and honestly sound like some of the singer’s lowest moments or thoughts having to do with his own life/the world around him and the band - but they make it rock and give you that feeling of trudging through it. Let me know if you give it a try and if you like em, it’s ok if not! I actually only enjoy their album Brave Faces Everyone and then I’m liking the new singles but anything before didn’t hit me the same. Have a nice one🤘
@@na-vn5qy I'd say the transition in sound is they've kind of mellowed a bit. Lyrically still similar, but older Spanish Love songs tended to be more fast paced, rock/punk focused, not quite as much electronics. Honestly I kinda prefer the older style better, but any SLS is good lol. I'd definitely recommend checking out their older stuff.
@@na-vn5qy Sorry, away from the work computer for a couple days lol. Anyway, their older full records "Brave Faces Everyone" and "Shmaltz" are both excellent.

God, this one just rips at my heart strings. They have the saddest potions for bangers and I love it

"Drove across Nebraska for the fourth time in a year." THAT is the saddest thing you all have written. That drive is brutal.
Why the fuck isnt this on the god dam billboard usa this is so fucking good
This band keeps getting better and better, can't wait for the album!
So happy I watched them opening for Hot Mulligan this year they're so good!

i love this freaking band
Brave Faces Everyone is a really good album, and the two songs I've heard from No Joy makes me think that it will be an even better album.
Spanish fucking love songs. They went slightly more poppy in all the best ways ❤
Love it.
Cannot wait for the new album. Pre ordered!!
Of course it’s really good. Im stoked for the album!

“So fuck the garden and the yard” felt that

Big menzinger vibes
Definitely, especially in the way they've mellowed a bit in their old age lol.
