- Painting and pin-striping, are two of the dark arts of motorcycle restoration, and two things that poor old Toad has absolutely no experience with.
To see if he was up to the task of painting a new fuel tank, he popped along to the Triumph factory in Hinckley, to basically hold up the production line for the day!

Oh another new variant of the same bike 🥱 getting boring. Why don’t they do an, honour the warranty special edition? That might be worth a mention
Oh dear… what happened?
In my opinion, Triumph are the number one manufacturer of motorcycles today, would love to see them do a v4 but i can't have everything
😂 that’s funny.
Номер 1 по какво е Триумф?
yeah, but where is the tank?
Being baked at the time that we did the final piece to camera.
Why just the tank? Do the guards aswell and its worth it but not as is.
Not sure what you mean? This was a chance to show off the new paint techniques that go into painting the new Stealth model Triumphs, and a chance to see how bad I am at painting...
@@visordown yeah get that, lol. I mean Triumph
I'd love to see more bike companies create more beautiful metallic paint colours and even more brighter colours both on the tank, fairing, forks, bars and more importantly wheels to make bikes stand out to other road users. We've seen KTM, Suzuki etc make some brighter colours, but I'd love to see more. That also includes full motorbike clothing brands in more colourful and exciting designs than just black. I shouldn't have to wear a high visibility vest in this day and age.
My Triumph Thunderbird's tank was painted there back in '95. The sticker underneath the tank has the name 'Steve R'. Beautiful, deep colours that have lasted.
