Yeah, some interesting gameplay tweaks have been done.
Have you noticed too? I don't think I've seen a single instance of simple blocking. Lots of defensive or offensive maneuvers, but they never just tank a hit with a block button.

Man, the nostalgia train hit me hard.
I remember spending a sh*t-ton of time in Budokai Tenkaichi 2 and 3 as a child and occasionally with my Dad,
even though he didn't know anything about those games and Dragon Ball in general.
He still played it with me regardless of his missing knowledge, even if I won 80-90% of the time.
I miss those times...and also him. RiP 😔
I had a cousin that was 10 years old and he died he loved Dragonball z,he died in 2012.

I'm gonna laugh if they keep the old VA and the new VA at the same time.
The old VA was nostalgic, but good lord you can tell everybody was not as skilled as they are now. Sean going, "I'm very angry," with the mannerisms of a British Gentleman in the old games is so bad lmao.
They'll likely end up replacing the old VA work with newer ones but who knows, English Dubs have always been iffy in these games lmao.
We have had tournament game modes in the past, as well as cell games...It would be VERY cool if they did a tournament of power battle royal that can be played either online or locally! And when a character gets eliminated it would be cool to see their picture get greyed out like on Zeno's screen from the show.
Would it also be kind of a team game?

Please let there be a sick story mode with what if scenarios and tough fights. So many great DB fighting games have awesome single player experiences as well as multiplayer, really trying to lose a lot of time to this game.

The world with dark because Vegeta use his key to the max like raging blast when you power up to the fullest the sky turns dark love when you clash It’s in a dimension that breaks afterwards😂❤ and so far they got the db xenoverse camera problem and the clash system it’s like DB legends. I Need planet buster ULTs and Hit saying we Awoken a Monster ❤
The fact they added this agility vs strength, makes me think there will be a light, middleweight, and heavyweight system with characters. Super Trunks moves super slow but will obviously do damage. And then look at kale vs broly with the locking hands. I’m guessing that’s a thing only heavyweights can do with eachother.

I think the beam clash mechanic is really good and really safe for Joystick's longetivity instead of the BT3 beam clash mechanic which is pretty much will destroy your analog within a day😂
Something I noticed is that there's no stamina bar, everything seems to be done through Ki or the skill gauge.
And I am probably wrong but I have not seen a single instance of just, blocking. We have a lot of offensive and defensive maneuvers, but it looks like we can't just stand there and take a hit, which I find super interesting. Would force the player to be very proactive in their gameplay.

My theory is that they will add characters from other games as DLC. Mira, Towa, Android 21, the Dragon Ball Heroes characters, etc.

I'm personally one of the ones against the B3 style "time the button" thing, I hope they at least give options to choose between those & standard spinning/spamming. Other than that I love the battle damage stuff, you could see Goku's shirt break in real time, and like you said I hope they have layers, like he could go from regular Gi, to only blue shirt, to half shredded like Rage SSJ2 Teen Gohan , to fully destroyed top. Same for Vegeta, just full armor, slightly broken like here, missing a whole arm chunk like in Blacks Arc, then fully destroyed top, not necessary but would definitely add to the small nuances to give it that "next generation" feel after waiting so long for an actual continuation
The showcase was nice but I wish they showed the grabs and taunts of various characters. Speaking of which, it would’ve been really sweet if we got a glimpse of SSJ4 Gogeta

not a big fan of them counting the transformations as a slot, old tenkaichi combining the character's transformation into their slot was much more preferred. Other than that the game looks great, they need to clean up some of the jank and give the punches a bit more impact. Other than that it looks like it's gonna be insanely fun.
