THE VISIONARIES: Dustin O'Halloran, composer (A Winged Victory for the Sullen)

Dustin O'Halloran is one of the best composers in the world. He won an Emmy for the theme tune he created for Amazon's TV series 'Transparent'. He has composed the soundtracks for films including Sophia Coppola's 'Marie Antoinette', Drake Doremus' 'Breathe In', 'Like Crazy' and 'Equals'. In 2016, with his friend Hauschka, he was nominated for an Oscar and BAFTA (Best Original Score) for the soundtrack to 'Lion'.
I filmed Dustin during rehearsal before a special, one-off show at the Barbican in London where he performed with his music ensemble A Winged Victory for the Sullen, with composer Adam Wiltzie. The following night, my producer Sinead and I drove to Manchester and back to film them playing their last show of the run at St. Philip's Church. Part 2 will be coming soon.
