Pedal came first, I have a similar set up but there is some magic with the head power section working with that pre-amp. Bet you are definitely better of saving your hearing no doubt (says the 50 year old me 😊)
Ha! Yeah I like the setup. I’ve never been one that needed to push a lot of air behind me. Got tired of people asking me to turn up. Then I couldn’t hear them because I was too loud (and so the cycle goes). I rarely play in “perfect” conditions. This setup has helped on stage and front of house in the situations I play in. 🤘🏾
Dude! I am just looking at getting a bass. Trying to figure out whether to get an amp or something like you are doing. It's a tough choice! But you make some great points. Thank you! Subscribed.
🙏🏾🙏🏾. Some settings require an amp. Like if there’s no sound system. It’s good to have one as a backup. Just in case
Hi! This is exactly the set up I use if I don't have an amp, even the Xvive . It works great for me. The only thing is that I go: Helix Stomp, Tone Hammer. 🔥
I haven’t had chance to mess with an Amp emulator yet. I’d imagine it would make it feel even closer to the real thing having it paired with the a Tone Hammer. Xvive system is great. Pair it with a set of KZ ears and you have a great sounding rig for the low.
@elonjd I use the Stomp for simple things if I need an effect or something, it's awesome. Funny cause I use the KZ also 😂
Great travel setup too
Nice setup i see you 👏👍
Thanks 💯
E'Lon, I have been thinking about getting a tone hammer for a while...you have inspired me to order one. Do you mind sharing what settings you like to use on your tone hammer?
Depends on the bass. I run it flat for most typical situations. With my custom bass I run it with a slight hi mid cut
Nice tips bro, dont you miss compression on stage?
A little compression goes a long way
Touring is so much easier with a pedalboard for gigs
I agree. Not really a replacement but a solid alternative. 🤘🏾💯
The pedal came before the amp
Thank you!!!!
