Adjust the painted headlight cover...Phillips screw..loosen and pull metal cover downward...then tighten back down. You may also need to adjust the hood bump stops a little bit
Thanks, have you ever adjusted the white plastic head screw, it appears to be an adjustment for how far down the lid closes? It’s the same type screw like the 4 that is under the “eyelid”
@@cartalk5585 is there a way you can send me your email or phone? I can record a short vid and send you a link to better explain, I just had this issue a few days ago with my Hawk.
There is a way to adjust the headlight cover, but it's not where you are focused on. It's actually on the underneath of the headlight. Loosen up the screws and you can move the cover forward and back.
So the plastic head adjusting stop, there are 6 of them per side from what I understand. 4 under headlight cover for adjustment , 1 that I was pointing out as a stop, and there is another that I have seen on an full assembly that is for sale on eBay. I haven’t figured out its purpose yet. Those screws are listed as “1998-2002 Firebird Headlight Stop Adjustment Bolt” on eBay. Obviously the 6th one is for adjusting something too.

Could it be to much slack in the gear?
