Thank You So Much For This Info.
Thank you for taking the time! Helping my mom today change hers!
For sure, so glad I could help.
I've got a 99' RS with 28,000 miles. Still drives and rides like brand new!
28,000 that’s awesome! At a little under 200,000 she’s still doing great. I just drove it over to my mom’s house. I put a lot of money into the suspension last winter. I need to get the windows and AC fixed. It’s not exactly a summer car when both don’t work. My daughter has a 99 firehawk with a little under 65,000 and drives amazing.
Awe dude you helped me out big time thanks i got pulled over by local police and he said that i didn't use my turn signal and I told him I did he gave me a break and told me to fix it or i will get a fine thank you very much
I’m glad I could help you.
Hey thanks! Because of you I just changed my first headlight bulb! Appreciate the help 😊
Glad I could help, thanks for watching!
Thanks
Glad I could help.
Light still not working
Oh no, it’s possible you could have a bad socket. I’m not sure if there would be a fuse for that. The tag light should be on when the headlights are on.
Its been a while since I saw the Firehawk. She is still looking beautiful! You need to buy that from your daughter someday.
I gave it a bath and took it for a drive. Then I drive my 3.1 Camaro and I’m sad.
@@cartalk5585 at least you got to drive it.
how do you take the bulb out of the piece thing man like come on why you skip that
Really sorry, most of the time I am trying to do these by myself. Some things are hard to do with one hand.
There is a cap covering the part there the bulb is, twist it counter clockwise, the you will see the bulb plugged into the harness, twist the bulb counter clockwise, thinking back there are one or two clips, pretty sure it’s one, stick a small screwdriver or under the clip just lift up enough to pull the bulb out. Hope that helps.
worked like a charm thank you!
@@igigi6392 I’m glad to help.
This machine is crazy
Yes it is
It's been singing the song of its people for 2days now 😭
This is exactly what I needed to know how ever I don’t think this is the reason I go through pto cables faster than I do my laundry every week
I glad I could help. I’m thankful I don’t have your PTO Cable problem. I bought one during some of my repairs, but didn’t need it. My current problem is I’m waiting on a tensioner pulley to come in the mail. I started hearing a new squeaky sound when the blade is engaged. Within about 15 minutes the belt had come off and the pulley was laying beside the lawnmower. I thought I just put that thing on maybe 2 years ago, but my eBay purchase history has it at 5 years ago.
Buddy of mine had a brand new one in high school it was the black WS6 version with 6 speed manual! That car would fly! He took me up to 160mph in like little over a 1/4 a mile! We had a new Z/28 96 model and it was quick but not quite as quick as the fire hawk! The ram air hood helped a lot I think! They was both fast but the Pontiac was just a tad quicker!
@@tammyforbes2101 I really enjoy driving the Firehawk. I have had 4 different V6 Camaros, but I have never driven anything like this bird.
I have a 92 Camaro with white smoke coming from the driver side near the intake manifold! Any suggestions on what that might be?
Sorry, I wish I could help.
I’m so extremely happy with my 23 year old Murray and 21 year old craftsman No junk added to them 😊😊😊

Car Running before and after, will be nice
I’ve got a rattle again because I had to go with another belt to bypass the smog pump.
@@cartalk5585 I mention it because I'm trying to find idler video running to compare it to my issues, thanks 🤣
Just did this myself. However, only can run in the highest deck. Lowering the deck is causing stalling. Any idea why? Runs great on 5.
I have to run with mine on 5 just because it’s a good height for my deck. I’m not sure why it’s putting it under such a load to stall it.
@@cartalk5585figured it out. Lever arm was smashing into the brake conduit leading back to the battery. Got that out of the way and also unplugged another safety sensor.
Must use this piece every time tho so place with in baggie ANF with wash utensils bleach or whatever you have and boom!
Thank you, but just remove the lock part from the lid and place in the hole it works fine goes thru all cycles. Put in safe place and that's it no wires cut just remove 2 screws that hold in and place inside like it would normally look close lid if like or leave open and it will work fine.
Thank you man! Only video covering this problem
You are very welcome. I had to dig for it myself and found a few pics. The shop I use had done it before but was having trouble with belt routing. I showed the owner a picture on my phone, and he was like, oh ok, no problem.
@cartalk5585 my snow pump makes a gurgle noise when reved slightly. And I've also been wanting to get rid of it too
I have the opposite problem, the lid won’t work and the motor is constantly keeping the lock pulled in! I need help because I can’t even start a load!!!!
Try this Lid Lock bypass fix Maytag whirlpool washer ua-cam.com/video/IysmD2BZAMw/v-deo.html
That's what mine is doing!!! Driving me nuts! But I have had it stuck in lock position before too.

@@cartalk5585 same ones in the video
@@mediaguy4037 thanks
If your canister is clogged, disconnecting and plugging the line would result in the same engine performance. My money is on your ignition control module overheating.
I plugged the vacuum line and put an air filter on the vapor line. It cranks and runs much better now. Removed purge valve and an no longer connected to canister.
Lol - how can you tell if you're getting poor performance out of a 3.1? Doesnt it come with poor performance standard from the factory?
When it’s worse than poor 🤣
i would get someone to look at your 1991 camaro and have them to make sure that everything is hook up right and get it tune up as well
You just saved my life lol
Mine won’t open how did you do it?
I watched it and tried everything
Did you unplug it, leave off a few min and plug back up? Did you try hitting it on top of where the switch is?
Where is the fuel pump fuse located on these? I believe mine is blown and I cannot locate it anywhere.
Looking in an old Chilton’s and it shows the fuse box and a list of items. It says U Fuse - fuel pump, but there isn’t a U show on the diagram. Is it the fuse that is under the hood on passenger side fender close to coolant reservoir?
Try this www.thirdgen.org/forums/electronics/488933-fuel-pump-fuse-location.html

Video is very clear picture and easy to understand what is happening 😊 Thank You
Thanks
The code is F5 E3.
I’m having this issue tried your way and still nothing working. Lock doesn’t look dirty.
Locked or won’t lock problem?
Mine won’t lock same code
Yep, that's the way it goes.
Did the buld work with the brakes applied or light turned on? Mines wont blink for turning, but the light itself still works
You know I can’t say. The blinker was doing its weird thing they do when the bulb doesn’t work. I was parked, turned the signal on, and check front and rear to see where the bulb was bad. I guess you tried a new bulb. Is the socket bad? The sockets on my 97 RS got cooked over time, but those are the yellow lens driving markers and they are on a lot. It’s the same bulb.
I love that model 😍 ❤️ 💕 if only I could access it the hood. My car is v6! I love Clones ❤️
I have 3, V6 Camaros, 87, 91, 97. I honestly don’t like the standard hood on the 4th Gen firebirds. If you have a V6, I assume you have a 3.8 car. That’s a great running V6.
Did replacing the engine mounts fix the problem?
I really wish I had an answer for you. We have extra vehicles and we stay so stinking busy. My wife has been using the 06 Impala instead. I take the 2010 Impala out for a drive every few weeks.
I can’t say I’ve ever seen that happen before that Musta made you jump!
Yeah, it was a first for me! I was messing with the timing trying to get it right. I was never going to get it right, half of the injectors weren’t working. 😡 There was a fuse blown.
I think you solved my problem, thank you so much!!! ❤😊❤
I hope so, really glad I could help.
Yep I had the same issue too. I just replaced the PTO cable and it worked. I started to mow about 500 ft and the mower stopped. I tried starting it and nothing. Swapped out the battery, nothing. Investigated to see if there was some sensor. Looked at your video and I too noticed my engagement handle was more loose. Pulled back the lever and I was able to start the mower. Got many places on my property I need to disengage and reverse, so hope it won’t be an issue. Can’t try to mow until tomorrow, it’s 91 degrees right now where I’m at. Thanks for the video
@@mr2xtc glad my video helped you. Are you going to look into getting a spring and just fight it until you have time to put it on? My grass needs cutting to, it’s just been hard to have time to.
@@cartalk5585 replaced the PTO cable spring combo and it immediately felt loose. Looking at other video. Not sure how to tighten the tension. Or if there is a sensor that cutting the engine because of the looseness. Have to hold the handle to start and back up. Bit of a pain to do so.
I love these. I'd do the mirrors and basket handle black but that's just me lol Glad you keepin em alive man!
Early in the 4th gen Camaros certain models if not all, I don’t remember, had black mirrors with black tops.
Very nice car. Its a dream for me I live in Europe and in my country this camaro itsn't cheap. Accebility but non cheap. 3.8 V6 its a good engine?
The 3.8 has been a good dependable motor. It’s got some good pep to it. It’s so much better than that weak 3.1 in my 91 Camaro. At almost 200,000 I’ve had some issues here and there. One annoying thing is I feel like I loose a plug wire to soon every once in a while. I use AC Delco wires and I usually change to whole set when it happens. As I type this I find myself thinking, I wonder if it’s the same plug wire every time?
stop slamming the frigging doors!
Ok 😳 oops
That's a beautiful car man. I had a 96 RS. It was a red convertible with jet black interior (not that graphite color). Some lady turned through traffic and I hit her on the broad side. Her insurance paid and I got it fixed but 3 days after that some kid literally set my car on fire. I still have those pictures. Crazy 😢. I ended up buying a '95 Z28 convertible and just just setting it up for speed and drivability.
Thanks, dude, the kid setting it on fire is crazy. It sounds like you like to have your hair in the wind. I’ve always assumed that convertibles weren’t very weather friendly. Heat, cold, rain, how do they do? Last time I drove a convertible was over 25 years ago. I rented a convertible mustang when I got married. I didn’t want anyone messing with my 87 Camaro, fresh paint.
I have the factory t-top sunshades, and I always keep them in except for the rare occasion that I pull the tops out. The sun can be brutal.
Are they the ones that match your headliner?
@@cartalk5585 yes. They came from the factory. Basically cardboard, but it works and looks good.
I have a white 1996 Formula LT1 6 speed that I bought from the original owner used in 1999 with 50k miles. While I've owed it I've had to overhaul the transmission, replace head gaskets and radiator, and other odds and ends and it now has over 235k miles and still running strong. Only modifications I've done are installed an upper strut stabilizer bar, flowmaster mufflers, and a 7" ATOTO radio with carplay/android auto/backup camera/hands-free calling, etc. Firebirds Forever!!!
I'm also a GM fan, but I do appreciate American muscle cars.
I was about 20 years old and I saw in the grocery parking lot a 67 Mustang for sale. The guy who owned it was a year under me in school. We loved each other’s cars. Only by accident my 87 Camaro sport coupe and his 67 Mustang were the same dark blue, same Mangles 5 star rims, white letter tires. They perfectly complemented each other. I called my dad and wanted to know if he could help me get it. He said sure, but you can’t have both. 🤦🏻♂️ That was the end of that.
Thank you
You are very welcome. Have a great day.
I have a 2000 Firebird in black. I love it. Currently at 197,000 miles. Id love to get it fully restored one day. It has some nicks and dings here and there and the dash is cracked. I want the Ram Air hood though... its my favorite.
Head light gears are easy to replace. Just make sure to get brass replacement gears. They sell the replacement kit at several part supplies. GO for it!
Do they sell them as plastic also? If so that’s terrible.
@@cartalk5585 Yeah the OEM's are a white plastic vinyl material i believe. I replaced mine with the brass 12 years ago and not a problem since. Its just a round gear about the size of an oreo cookie from what I remember.
you like the nostril blend of the Firehawk but I prefer the raised elevation of the ram-air scoops. the Firehawk is smooth and tame while the WS6 remains aggressive and rowdy.
Yes! That’s what my daughter says. WS6 hood is mean and aggressive. She says the Firehawk hood is more elegant.
