Arekkz! You say that this isn't the only way to do this but if it's not your way, is there really any point? I WILL ONLY USE THE WEAPONS AND WAYS YOU RECOMMEND!
I feel smart. our team figured out your bath's strat that you showed in this video a few nights ago before you shared it (I'm sure you and others had already had the idea) and it worked great we were all first time raiders for Leviathan so it worked really well and made the fight straight forward for us. I was lowest light in the group at 274 but I was a roamer as a nightstalker hunter. It being a hunter made it easy to navigate the map and smoke + void grenade makes killing the bather easy since you can just throw them onto the bather and let the other guy on your plate DPS while you kill ads.
Having an Arc soul warlock to kill the skulls on the dimension team is great my group were able to hit 60 stacks with just 2 people in one phase when one person in the dimension team got launched by the last group of psions
Hey Arrekz I love ur vids and thank u for the guides.Just wanted to say that I love playing Destiny, and playing destiny got me through my grandfathers death.I don't have a PS4 pro but I still want to play destiny 2 in 4k.Great guide as always!
for the boss room Arekkz those shields in the room on the pads protect u completely from the adds, so u only have to focus on the what symbols are being called out, but u can use these shields to by u time from adds and from pad to pad while your moving about to knock out the one that was not called.
There's multiple shortcuts from the start of the raid that take you through the belly of the leviathan and if you follow the doors with the symbols, they'll take you to the corresponding rooms. Theres a room under the bridge where you spawn that has 6 levers, and they need to be pulled in the correct order and it will open one shortcut in the center on top of a pipe over a pond of water, and a second to the far left that if you have all 6 levers pulled at the same time, it opens the door on the very top of a pipe jumping 'puzzle' and you can easily get to each section of the raid without ever having to step foot in the castellum. Also after each encounter is completed, we found out that each room spawns buttons/levers that you can activate that will open a secret entrance that leads you back into the underbelly tunnels so you dont have to enter the castellum. This works better because you can also find your loot chests for the keys while youre going from area to area.
At the start we found it good to have a player on top of the big building in the middle with that cabel scout rifle, shooting down at them from behind into there weak spots.
I've been part of a raid team where only ONE person outfitted with MIDA multi and mini took the charge back to the throne. They would run around like chickens with their heads cut off and bash the psions, and we racked up SOOO many stacks.
*hint in Calus throne room* Don't kill extra Sions before you get teleported unless you're doing an Ammo run. Because you'll get more Ads/enemies in the Throne room when you teleport back. Also people in the throne room when the other team teleports back from the void, titans or warlocks use Supers to clear out Ads, good way for ammo drop for everybody. Use Super to clear out when start to rally in back right before you start taking down Calus shield
This helped a bit but I'd like to get a few strategies for the gauntlet as it was the only part my group couldn't really get through. Simple as it is having a bit broader a pool of strats helps
A very easy way to one phase callus that our team found is to have 4-5 golden guns and have the tree that allows precision damage, the orbs cycle supers and we one phased him with only 60x skulls
my team 1 phase calus at 70 skulls. 6 hunters; 3 nighthawk, 2 nightstalker with rig, 1 arcstrider for ads. The amount of orbs generated from tether was insane. each nighthawk got 3 shots in with super and 6 merciless. It was gross
I wish I snagged mercilesss when I had the chance. I also wish getting Destiny 2 game shared with me before it came out counted for the pre order bonuses. No coldheart until December for me.
We 1 phased the dogs the 1st night we did the raid with a 48 stack (once we found out the mechanics of course) damage over time supers and grenades are what you go for... Striker Titan with double pulse grenades and devastation waves and Voidwalker Warlock with vortex novabomb and vortex grenade (2 classes I beat the raid with).... Hunters are iffy at 48 stack but a tether with merciless and void wall grenades is the best combo.... far as the gauntlets we find it easiest to split in 2 teams of 3 and mute the opposite runner (won't hear their call outs) and rotate together with 1 person always top and other always bottom/ one person is for plates and the other for the bubbled psions... way less confusing!!!! Far as calus we 2 phase him as well but a little trick that will get you higher skulls is have a Warlock running arc for arc soul in the other dimension.... the arc soul will help shoot skulls with you.... we get 75 plus skulls with auto rifles and we majority of the time got 82 and better!!!!!
My raid team was able to one phase the dogs with 4 stacks, if you can get more that's fine but if you have at least 4 with supers/grenades and heavy weapons you can do it with 4 stacks
I'm getting d2 sometime this week and I'm not a big ps4 person so i have no friends. But I am a big raider on wow, gw2, Tera, ffxiv and other mmorpgs. But I feel like my chances of actually getting here will be slim before something else comes about.
I know this is not related to the video, but I feel like I really need to talk about this, I got an Exotic Engram and got a Wardcliff's Coil, then I went to the crucible guy and reddemed my tokens and I got an Exotic... Another Wardcliff's Coil
You don't really need a x60 stack. My team last night did the Pleasure Gardens and completed with a one phase. Highest light was myself at 285 and our lowest being 271. We all saved our supers and only got to a stack of x48, then everyone was assigned to a dog. If anyone was done faster, then we ran to help someone else. For Titan's, we ran the Striker class with Pulse Grenade and the Code of the Earthshaker setup. My chest piece has an Arc Ordnance Mod which recharges my grenade faster when using an Arc subclass. Two pulse grenades brings the dogs health down by half and then use your Super to finish it off. You will still have some left to quickly run over and help someone else. We all had Merciless, Swords, or Shotguns to finish them off once our Supers were no longer available. There are so many ways to do this part of the raid, but do whatever works for you. This worked for us and just wanted to share. Good luck!
There's also a way my raid team found very enjoyable and easy for the Pools, which is if you have the two people in the middle immediately switch out with either side, the entire side. So let's say the left side, top and bottom, the people from middle will replace them both; then they go to replace all of the right side, getting the buff on the way over there of course and this is repeated about 4 times until the DPS phase starts! However of course Arekkz's way is always the best but I insist trying this if the other way doesn't work. Of course the DPS phase should be done the way Arekkz's recommended because it is the BEST way! However use his way first and see what works for you!
can you make a guide inside the shadow realm? a lot of people don't know that you have to criss cross when targeting the psions. Haven't seen any Guide inside the shadow realm
You don't realize how lucky you guys were to have a warlock in the throne room on Calus, once his shield appears and he starts dealing damage you will only survive if you started out at full health
Wouldnt it be effective to shoot a rocket launcher with max. explosion radius inside his mouth to kill multiple skulls with 1 shot? or is the radius too small to be that effective?
I am 280+ and I just straight up can't beat Calus, and not even in a way that makes me want to best him. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. I tried Coldheart, Merciless, rifts, Throne, Mind's Eye, everything! I. Can't. Win. I can make it to the 3rd segment if we are lucky, but no further. Ive beaten the hardest challenges D1 had to offer and had fun doing it, what makes this different?
May I ask, what exact genre is the Destiny series? Is it some sort of fps mmorpg or something? That's the kind of vibe I'm getting based on these videos.
Is the right side in the shadow realm bugged? Because usually after the thrid barrier theres like a invisble piece on the floor that knocks people through the barrier
Gordon Flash I believe it is, I can't tell you how many times that has happened to me. Some people don't believe it, so they blame you for messing up. Untill they see for themselves.
Anytime i try to do this raid, im solo, theres no other players. I spent so long just killing and killing trying to defend one spot thing like an idiot.
Any plans on making a video on how to download MHXX for us in the west? I've noticed that neither you nor Gaijin Hunter have made one. I'm sure your community would greatly appreciate it.
The hunt: get 36 stacks, split up: 1 player per dog. Kill them.2 striker grenades will do 70% damage to a dog. It's pretty easy. Don't know why anybody is trying to get more than 36 stacks....
hey man you should check out my chest farm to get as non stop tokens xp and loot and let your fans know about it that would be really cool anyways keep the vids coming
nothing for the gauntlet phase?! haha I guess it is just too easy and straight forward no 'pro' tip for it, that's funny, I don't disagree but would have nice to see a tip that just said shoot the correct arrows and jump correctly! haha
Arekkz! You say that this isn't the only way to do this but if it's not your way, is there really any point?
I WILL ONLY USE THE WEAPONS AND WAYS YOU RECOMMEND!
George Mccoy get lost bot
Ex: it's hawx two posts down u sound like a baby stfu go send some pple inv and actually... uk try
The hardest part of this raid is getting 5 people to raid with.
William Eichmann join the clan "High Command". I'm a founder/admin
You're a scholar - thank you. I really appreciate it.
That's why I didn't buy this game
William Eichmann i raid with strangers and still finished the raid so its just you being lazy
William Eichmann no it is finding GOOD people to raid with
Step 1. Find a patient group.
At the baths, some rockets will absolute wreck the entire cluster of 3 canisters at once (wardcliff coil is one)
Christian patched

Wow really great and informative video, just reached the 270 light mark and planning on doing the raid, thanks for this video it will help a lot!

You are the freakin man for makin this guide! Thanks a million

"get a stack of 60" easier said than done, dogs kept spotting us
Good stuff as usual Alex, very helpful. How do you feel about playing a run through some of your subs!
This helped a bit but I'd like to get a few strategies for the gauntlet as it was the only part my group couldn't really get through. Simple as it is having a bit broader a pool of strats helps
Nice another informational video. i will try these strats
A very easy way to one phase callus that our team found is to have 4-5 golden guns and have the tree that allows precision damage, the orbs cycle supers and we one phased him with only 60x skulls
also, get Arc Soul going in the skull phase. That's 3 extra sources of shots auto-targetting skulls
Arekkz: all you need is a little patience...
Me: destiny players! Patience! HA!
hey arekks keep up the good videos. I'm been a huge fan since destiny 1
C- the_wolfking since Destiny 1 XD
#1 tip teamwork teamwork teamwork
my team 1 phase calus at 70 skulls. 6 hunters; 3 nighthawk, 2 nightstalker with rig, 1 arcstrider for ads. The amount of orbs generated from tether was insane. each nighthawk got 3 shots in with super and 6 merciless. It was gross
If you melee the Psions before Calus teleports you into the shadow realm, more adds and Majors spawn in the throne room.
At 84 stacks, one empowered rift and a pulse grenade can kill a dog
Finally beat it. Extremely challenging but very doable with a good fireteam and good communication. Don't even attempt it if you're a casual
Just noticed the miss mini tool's thing on the side shows how much ammo you have😂😂😂😂 0:30
I wish I snagged mercilesss when I had the chance. I also wish getting Destiny 2 game shared with me before it came out counted for the pre order bonuses. No coldheart until December for me.

You missed the part where you have to run through circles with an orb
DOPE! CANT WAIT TO TRY IT!!!
I'm getting d2 sometime this week and I'm not a big ps4 person so i have no friends. But I am a big raider on wow, gw2, Tera, ffxiv and other mmorpgs. But I feel like my chances of actually getting here will be slim before something else comes about.
Damn good tips man! Thanks!!
You completely skipped the gauntlet part.
You missed out the Gauntlet section in this guide !?!?
Other than that it's a good guide.....Nice one, Cheers !!
I can see that being a challenge in heroic mode where each player has to kill a war beast in only one round
1st Bathhouse tip sounds more confusing then rotating through imo but thats coming from D1 namely Kings fall
Hot tips dude!
Wow this makes the raid look so easy. Wonder how long until heroic and challenge mode.
Dogs: 2 flowers (Always R1+L2 or L1+R2) -> curtan call -> loot
I highly recommend using pulse grenades
Ur now the one i go to for d2 infor
I thought the video meant that Arekkz was giving tips to finish the raid with 5 players. lol!
best tips for the raid ever!!!!!
What about in hardmode there will be load out locks what will we do then we won't be able to change to the cold heart
I know this is not related to the video, but I feel like I really need to talk about this, I got an Exotic Engram and got a Wardcliff's Coil, then I went to the crucible guy and reddemed my tokens and I got an Exotic... Another Wardcliff's Coil

Toxic Concepts Hey can you please help me with the raid on PS4? If you are willing to add me on Psn my name is crazy_panda678. Please and thank you!
I wish I could, but I'm on Xbox. Sorry bud.
Me and my gang can easily wipe a dog with a 36 stack. We usually go for 48 to make it a little easier then wreck face! 1 phase is life!
There's also a way my raid team found very enjoyable and easy for the Pools, which is if you have the two people in the middle immediately switch out with either side, the entire side. Evan Roberson Hey can you please help me with the raid on PS4? If you are willing to add me on PSN: crazy_panda678. Please and thank you!
sorry I can't, I play Xbox One :( I would if I could.
was so helpful thank you Alex now I can kill this thing with my friends
can you make a guide inside the shadow realm? a lot of people don't know that you have to criss cross when targeting the psions. Haven't seen any Guide inside the shadow realm
How are you tagging enemies by looking at them and getting precision hits with the Merciless?
Hey, question here, how long do we have to complete the raid? Or do we not know yet? I'm pretty new to destiny so idk.
60 stacks = 5 flowers
You don't realize how lucky you guys were to have a warlock in the throne room on Calus, once his shield appears and he starts dealing damage you will only survive if you started out at full health
U can one phase dogs with 24 spores and u can one phase calus with 80 skulls
the room my team got stuck on was the Gauntlet
It doesn't get hectic at all. Two players can defend without problems. I solo'd the first two keys.
What's the scout rifle your using?
Wouldnt it be effective to shoot a rocket launcher with max. explosion radius inside his mouth to kill multiple skulls with 1 shot? or is the radius too small to be that effective?
Did you miss the gauntlets room?
The man o' war does great damage to final boss as well. I pull better numbers with it over the coldheart
Oh boy math is hard
can you turn on public search for the raid
I am 280+ and I just straight up can't beat Calus, and not even in a way that makes me want to best him.
I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. I tried Coldheart, Merciless, rifts, Throne, Mind's Eye, everything!
I. Can't. Win. I can make it to the 3rd segment if we are lucky, but no further. Ive beaten the hardest challenges D1 had to offer and had fun doing it, what makes this different?
Everytime i get to calus we cant get to the damage phase
What light lvl are you Arrekz?
What kinetic scout rifle is he using?
Nice video
My team killed 5 of the dogs with just 36 stacks in the garden.
Have teamwork. This raid isn't about cheesing or relying on that high powered guy to bail you out. Everyone has to pull their own weight.
May I ask, what exact genre is the Destiny series?
Is it some sort of fps mmorpg or something? That's the kind of vibe I'm getting based on these videos.
Its loot simulator 2017. In all seriousness tho, its an action fps with rpg elements. Thats how I see it.
Arl Dominic Antonio Its a Loot and Shoot with RPG elements which is also a MMO
What scout rifle are you using? A vanguard rep gun?
Richard William Kirkpatrick-Thorne its the raid scout
thanks, off to a raid i go
When the raid first came out you had no idea how it worked? You just had to figure it by yourself?
Is the right side in the shadow realm bugged? Because usually after the thrid barrier theres like a invisble piece on the floor that knocks people through the barrier
Gordon Flash I believe it is, I can't tell you how many times that has happened to me. Some people don't believe it, so they blame you for messing up. Untill they see for themselves.
Anytime i try to do this raid, im solo, theres no other players. I spent so long just killing and killing trying to defend one spot thing like an idiot.
So getting a 60 stack... I've never been a spotter but that stack of pollen doesn't touch them, right? So how do they kill their dogs in one go?
Aaron Treiber Everyone gets the buff, even the Prism holders.
I need help on the raid
Any plans on making a video on how to download MHXX for us in the west? I've noticed that neither you nor Gaijin Hunter have made one. I'm sure your community would greatly appreciate it.
@Arekkz I think xur got down off the tree
The hunt: get 36 stacks, split up: 1 player per dog. Kill them.2 striker grenades will do 70% damage to a dog. It's pretty easy. Don't know why anybody is trying to get more than 36 stacks....
How was he able to get critical damage with the merciless on the Standard Bearer at 1:58?
Chris Capfer it might be a bug with gunslinger perks
hey man you should check out my chest farm to get as non stop tokens xp and loot and let your fans know about it that would be really cool anyways keep the vids coming
nothing for the gauntlet phase?! haha I guess it is just too easy and straight forward no 'pro' tip for it, that's funny, I don't disagree but would have nice to see a tip that just said shoot the correct arrows and jump correctly! haha
Did anyone else have problems with Gardens where the dogs would sometimes act really...gltichy?
Jamie Lee ya one went into the safe room and we murked him it was hilarious
Hey guy im wondering what happened if I lag out in the middle of the raid or disconnected will I be able to join again or am I out
LordMx 54 you'll be fine, but fix your internet
What happened to gauntlets?
12 stack x 6 flowers = 60 stacks... NA math!
It starts at 1:14 you're welcome
How many times did you say "now for number four"? I swear you said it a few times.
Change the background music, that's D1.
What light is best for the raid on normal mode
Natsu Dragneel 290 is really good but 280 is the minimum you should go in as
Bruh, was easy enough for me at 269 light but for people new to destiny 280 is a good power to go in as for your 1st raid.
Nah I'm from d1 year 2 so not really that new but I'm not the best raider so I'm thinking I'll go in at 285. Thanks guys
And i didn't complete raid yet i wanna complete it
u just need 1 person to kill and collect the standard it's not that complicated just keep your distance.
I spent 4 hours raiding and got two legendary engrams...
TWO.
Joe1up I got that many from psions alone
What is that scout rifle
Ajaybuco27 its quite obviously the one you get from the raid
Statiq well it's not he has applied a shader
Wardcliff one shots each canister in the baths just fyi.
Oh really? Sweet! I haven't got that yet!
It got patched today
