This song looked hard at first but actually its very easy IF you know how to play the cursed Scarborough Fair from the previous page :)
i can do the scarborough fair but i seem to cant do this one
Retrospective Took me a while to learn this too lmao
I’ve done Scarborough fair and I did this in a good 30 min
Cursed?! It’s my fave song in the whole book
Cursed is right.
I just got to it and trying to play it drove me to hate the damned thing. I never want to hear this song again as long as I live.
BTW: My instructor told it's quite difficult because of perpetual motion of the left hand.
Elena: This is one of my favorite songs in Alfred's books. Your performance is thoroughly enjoyable. Xiao
Thank you! One of my favorites too.
The "trick" to reading this piece is that it's in D minor, so B is played as a Bb (black key). There are also C# notes that are played on the sharp (black) key. The rest is all on the white keys. The high stuff at the end is the same notes an octave higher. Scarborough Fair is also in D minor, but there are two B# notes, which you would play on the white keys because they're marked sharp.
this is one of my favorite songs in the book :)
I love this piece.
I'm working on repetitions making the song at least six minutes long. ❤️
that's such a good idea
At first it look hard but after practising u will feel it is easy... It is similar to the previous song
this SLAPS
I love this song and i feel happy and accomplished after being able to play the song according to the time signature without listening to it first. After that i watched your video to check if i played it right. thank you so much for your effort!
thank you again for showing this song to help me.to.make.sure sounds right. I learn this song in an hour.
Am I the only one who has the bad habit of looking at the comments first lol
Good job!
This help so much!
now i feel like im dancing with all the hand & feet coordination required
I've been trying to learn this for about a week now and I've been stuck on measure 3 where the dotted quarter note is but now thanks to this I know how to play it
ARE U KIDDING A WEEK?! I TOOK TWO DAYS!
Well, if he needs a week for it, then let him take a week for it lol. It's not a speed contest
>w< i played 2 to 3 years of piano when i was small
and i play for about 1:30 mins on piano each day
sometimes 2 hrs
*too long... uuhhhggg*
@@thebitterlemon2096 Taking two days after practicing that much is nothing to show off about, I took less time than that, and I've been learning for around 8 months, but I'm not here to boast.
@@shreevatsansithu7906 same i've playing for around 4 months and just learned this today and was able to play well after 30 min with around 70bpm and @The Bitter Lemon is bragging about his 2 days achievement, the audacity tho
Love it! Thank you
Wow, your playing is incredible! Your music sounds amazing 🤩
That was awesome! Hey, I've noticed a huge difference in a few songs. This one and Scarborough Fair and Blow the Man Down. It is a different kind of concentration to do the notes with the left hand. I need more songs like that... Does the Alfred's Book 2 work deeper into this left hand note playing? Or else can you recommend any books that practice it?
Exact same three that caught me out as I progressed through!
@@sjproudman Hey! I stuck with and still play every day. Now these left hand single note songs are no sweat!
@@JosephJonLombardi Yeah I really persevered and am now on to the last few in the book so fingers crossed I’ll be onto #2 soon!
Can you do a tutorial video of this song?
Cindy ye Sorry, I'm just an apprentice, so I wouldn't know how to make a tutorial.
Thanks for your comment. :)
Isnt this tough to play? I.m sweating😌
no, my 3 years old son can play it smoothly
It’s hard at first but it’s easy once you get it
I didn’t have much difficulty with this piece, only the doted measure, that part took me
45 min. Maybe what helped is that I use Blown the Man Down as a warming exercise every single time, and it helps to maintain hand independence and that particular dotted counting right on track.
You played very beautiful! Good dynamics 🎶👏 What piano you play this on? Sounds very beautiful too.
I’ve played the exact same arrangement using the same book. Nice work, my dude.
Me encanta las canciones
When I play I felt like a wooden doll is rotating in front of me when the music comes to an end. I watched too many movies about scary dolls.
Im on page 120
I love playing with you as I practice this ~~~ ☆
This B flat just really pisses my off! 😒....
Played beautiful btw! Thank you for your videos!
Wow🤗😀🙄🙄🙄🙄😉😉
this is freaking hard to play
No not at all. It’s like frickin easy after u practice. It took me a good 35 mins to get it just take time
Came here because of Lehman trilogy
You forgot a whole chunk of notes
Where?
@@shreevatsansithu7906 measure 25
Pupsicle Daisies he really did
Those notes arent in the level 1 book
Page 88 & 89
Haha
