I was watching soccer and this bat rep at the same time. I started cheering and my girl friend came running in and asked who scored? I told her no one but Travis shot the terrorist driver! She told me to get a life:) good vid.
Bloodysword's Vids lol. Those terrorist drivers don’t stand a chance 😎
Tabletop CP good!
What the hell is a girlfriend?
How did you negotiate an apology your significant other
Nice work, fun to watch. I hope i can resist to get that ruleset.
I kinda like that you play 2 games reversing the roles. That's what we did when we played Force on Force. Now that I also bought the V2, I'll be able to compare it to FoF.
I am currious how you find the comparison. I have neither, but keep thinking about getting the FoF rules.
ostrowulf FoF involves more miniatures. Making it difficult to use 28mm. Minimum soldier fireteam are 4. But over all, similar to spectre. One side moves team then gets interrupted by enemy, we roll for who shoot first, keep moving if succeeded in eliminating enemy losing one dice every other interruption.
@@mcflyfraser I am more than willing to play 10mm, so the size is not a huge factor, and I would mostly be interested in playing regular force (primarily Canadian) in Afghanistan vs Taliban, so a platoon pluss attatchments for coalition is what intrests me most.
That city table looks amazing!
Thanks guys for that.... also another D6 system for this is Ospreys "black ops" rules.... less detailed wounds other bits, but also you can play cops, mafia, secret agents and i think for you...WW2, behind enemy lines... have a peek... faster play, more like call of duty..
Black Ops is a good game, but WAY more simplistic. Basically 40K vs Infinity.
Nice. Good idea to play both ways 👍🏻👍🏻
New Spectre ops bat rep and task force PADILLA! My last name! Great vid! Love Spectre ops!
Really great to watch and love the terrain. Going to pick up Spectre to play, How well do you think it would fit Vietnam themed games?
Great video guys look forward to more👍
Fantastic.
Nice video
Very cool video
Great Video, thank you. Where did you get the buildings?
Nice!
Hi guys, had a great time watching the game. Can I ask, what models are you using? I've been looking for a few modern models but haven't found a lot out there that I'm hugely impressed with. The Spectre Miniatures models are outstanding but a lot of them seem to be perpetually out of stock.
JF 39 try empress. Beautiful models and a lot of modern choices.
1:02:44 - Your count of 1&2 for the first road was off. It was actually 1&6 - 23:52. It's basically the same end result, but the die faces being different could be an issue? I dunno. Six of one, half-dozen of the other, right?
Great batrep. Where did you get the awesome terrain, minis and vehicles
Minis are a mix of Spectre and Empress. Most of the vehicles come from the a walking dead game and some are diecast toys.
@@tabletopcp What scale of vehicles?
@@lorddraconum mostly 1/48. Mayve 1/50. Various scale.
@@tabletopcp Thank you. Waiting for my book to show up for Spectre Operations
what manufacturer do you get your trees and vehicles from. Having a hard time finding them. Thanks!!
Palm trees are from Amazon. Can get them cheap there. Vehicles are either die cast toys or fro the walking dead game scenery pack
@@tabletopcp Thank you man. Just ordered a whole bunch of Spectre Ops miniatures from England last month, expecting them soon can't wait to get them painted. Great videos and terrain! I am motivated to start making some of my own! Keep it up.
Second game Andre had the right tactic. Roll lots of 5s and 6s.
It is hard to go wrong with tactics like that.
Absolutely hella. I want that can. Where can I find it?
foggygolem you mean the van? It is a diecast toy i got down at the hobby store.
You gotta try Battlespace. It’s an ultra modern solo skirmish. It uses cards for AI and all the stats for your soldiers too. It’s on wargamevault.com
Hey Travis. Learning question here: At the 16:41 mark, the LMG shooter gets to roll 3 x d6's. Just curious about why? Thanks!
I think because machine guns have the automatic rule.
@@tabletopcp You mean I've got to do more reading? LOL! Thanks man. Great looking table on this game!
What did you use for roads?
Zombie Dave some hard board cut into size then sprayed with textured spray paint. Then painted over.
MVP in the second game M203, coming away with don't bunch up
NCO yelling "what's wrong with you guys? You need someone to hold your hand? Spread out you lunk heads". 😁
Is there much difference between second edition and first? I’ve got first and don’t play enough to warrant getting second
Rob Salters there is. Vehicles and suppression are way better in second.
Rob Salters there is. Vehicles and suppression are way better in second.
What are the road tiles made from?
Not sure if it is in the rules? But if thevan is moving and you kill the driver would the van not loose control and possibly crash?
granapriego it is quite likely. It would make sense too that the van would lose control.
If there is no rule perhaps a house rule will do? Great game by the way. I have yet to play a game. I have a bunch of Russians and insurgents.
I think in the v1 there was a vehicle hit/damage table that's broken down in depth, unfortunately the results are quite random
It could be fun to see if the passengers of the van get wounded or killed once the driver dies as the van might go out of control and crash.
Maybe roll a scatter die and if it crashes then roll for wounds?
Mathieu Ouimet actually that is a rule we just forgot it. The vehicles can go out of control and crash
Is the Operator Driscol the great grandson of the officer Driscol from the War of Independence?
john tailby of course! He can trace his lineage through a long line of heroes and patriots.
How big was the unit in the van? If it started with 8 it was right if it was 6 two extra guys got out of the van, because they were killed in the driver seat.😁
Ron DuBray the Van started out with one driver and then six guys got in
So you killed the replacement driver two times.😁
Ron DuBray yep!
There’s a lot wrong with this scenario. And no spotting? I don’t think you can do these kinds of battles PvP.
Where did you get the palm trees ?!?!
Got these off Amazon. Came in a big pack. Pretty cheap too
@@tabletopcp they look great. Do you have a link for them or do you know what manufacturer to look for ?
@@MrNikolajN I don’t remember. It was so long ago. I think I just searched model palm trees. They came in a large pack of various sizes. I just added a base for them.
@@tabletopcp aww. Thats a shame.
They look really good.
And great video by the way 👏
Listening to the scenario's/campaigns you were discussing at the end reminded
me of the movie 13 hours the true story of the attack on the US consulate in
Benghazi . Which is real life political intrigue got in the way of saving the
ambassador something 'Killary Clinton' has not accounted for yet. It would
be the basis of a good game where the militias/activists could assault
a defended building like a consulate/embassy/hotel where some special
forces had to hold off the attacks until relieved and protect staff and civilians.
Or try and escape with said characters through the militias lines.
As you said many options but more equipment humvee's, helicopters ,drones
an old Russian Tank , suicide vests etc this game as you said could expand....

The movie is a very realistic account of the chaos and heroism of the attack.
If you want to go down the rabbit hole check out the presentations by the
real contractors involved.
