I just found your channel after spending my first week camp cooking over a fire at the age of 49. I can’t wait to go camping again to try some of your recipes… but which should I try first 🤔✌🏼
Great video! In case you didnt know of this product. The Fireside pop up fire pit is way better than that style of fire pit. Can get stainless steel grill that covers only half of the fire pit and bigger area but still very compact.
I have a big set of old aluminum camp pots. From the size of your camp oven all the way down to a billy and cup. Do you think they’re worth trying to make a go of it with something like this? I don’t want to scrap them, but if they’re useless then so be it.
Harry I’ve watched quite a few of yours but for some reason this one completely won me over. Maybe because it’s as chaotic as my own camp cooking efforts? But of course it somehow miraculously turns out amazing! I take my hat off to you mate. Enjoy the beers!
Glad everyone is safe from the fires. Gotta try this one!! Yummo... Just a questions? I've noticed you use I think a plastic bottle for your oil, and in other vids one for your red wine vinegar you store in your Crashpad Crashpod where do you buy them from? (mine leak Grrr) as cant find it on your gear page. Love, Love, LOVE ya book to by the way, gonna get tested out in a week,, already made my shopping list!!! :)
Hey Harry, love the videos. Quick question. Where did you get your oil bottles from? I bought the large sea to summit oval ones but they’re still too small. Cheers.
You need a good red wine or a whisky in that sort of weather :) Just bought one of those folding fire pits to have a play with. I don't really need it but I have seen them on Fire to Fork and they look interesting - although I don't think the one I ordered is the same brand. The crusty bread looks good just on its own. I am imagining some nice sharp matured cheese a bottle of Happs Cab Merlot and that crusty bread.. mmmm. The recipe looks really interesting but I'm not a fan of European herbs so I would leave those off and maybe chuck in some Vietnamese mint or maybe even some curry leaves. I think some pickled chilli would be awesome too .
Hmm your upside down fires are how I do 90% of my cooking fires. Makes for a good but longish charcoal cooking fire that doesn’t require tons of wood to achieve said good cooking fire! Must be an accountants brain thing LOL
How did you get a permit to have a open fire in January in Denmark. I've been trying for 20plus years and they don't issue permits that time of year. I think it's sending the wrong message out to your viewers
No permit needed. You’re thinking of a burn off, not a cooking fire www.denmark.wa.gov.au/camping-cooking-fires.aspx I called the council and confirmed it.
If you read the link you sent you will see that it refers to caravan parks only. Go into the prohibited burning section it says no fires during summer. I guess you got away with that one.
It refers to them being allowed at a person’s home, residence OR designated location (designated locations are caravan parks). Believe me, I wouldn’t be doing 900km return trips just to risk it down here. This is completely above board and legal
I admire your restraint in waiting until you've finished the photography before tucking in. Looks so good!
Mmmm looks so good, definitely trying this next camp!

I love you videos! And just wanted to state it was I in the van that tooted and waved at you. Keep up the great work. You are amazing
cant believe Fred never gets any, he must be devo living with a camp chef..
That looks delicious and perfect for the solo camper. 👍🤠
Watched it last night, ripped into town today for supplies, cooking tonight !!!!
If we had a code word this time, it had to have been “belter”! Great recipe! Thank you!
Like the experiment. Also try hot brickets. for a 10" spun steel camp oven, 8 on the bottom, 12 on the top. ~180Deg C out of the wind.
Gonna give that a go this Easter.
Along with Whopper and cold oil fries, HSP from left over lamb from the travel brai, and maybe a roast chook!
Fred in the B roll “I too like crispy chicken “ 😁
Looks yummy, everything goes well with beer👏👍👌💁
Chilli just finished it off with a bit of colour. Looks yummy...
Cheers Mark...

The aluminum ones with a mesh base? They look like they wouldn’t last a week

Harry can correct me on this but, i think that plastic bottle looks like a sea to summit re-used bottle or could buy them empty 🤔🤷♂️
I get them from Go Camping and Overlanding- they have a whole range of them
@@firetofork Cheers thx so much!! ill go sus it out!!

Go Camping and Overlanding in Balcatta. They have a huge range
Your awesome dude and awesome video be safe out there my thoughts and prayers go out to you all ❤️😎👍🙏
After stacking the fire I was expecting the next step to be, dump a bunch of petrol on it and stand back!

I would of said a nice Black IPA or Coffee Stout ;) for that weather..
Definitely going to give this one a crack in the camp oven🏆🏆
G’day mate, what heat proof table are you using. Couldn’t see it in the nerd spot on the website. Cheers
It’s the Front Runner one mate- it’s in the car section of the gear page
@@firetofork Roger that. Cheers mate.
Mans touched raw chicken, then that bread, then used his raw chicken hands to put the bread back in the bag! Harry, please be food safe!
Who makes the lighter and gloves you use? How are those gloves better than regular welding gloves? Tx
All the answers you need are on the Gear page- with links
Adding that one to the w@4k bank. Yes I named my recipe book the w@4k bank.
That’s what I call your insta page bb
Admit it. You "always" add chilli at the last minute so Fred can't have any and you get to eat the lot 😀😈
😋😋😋I'm going to give it a go.
Unreal
What happened to the potatos ? I didn't see you eat them or were they just to pack up the bread ?
So satisfying watching you cook, eat and watch your dog lick his lips over the chicken 😜
Mmmmmm yummo making my mouth water 🥲🥲🥲
When you said Denmark, I thought you meant in Denmark!! Strange hey? How stupid of me. A good vid, I enjoyed it. Thank you.
what lighter is that
Zippo with a butane insert mate
Has "two" beers and forgets how to human 🤣🤣
😎👍

havent seen a meal yet that Harry doesn't think went well with beer.... pmsl
Check any sweet stuff!
Yeah Harry there every chance that I would get inside that
🤠👍🇦🇺🔥

🤔🤔😏😏
Definitely couldn't eat that one, raw chicken juices soaking through the bread as it cooked...
You understand that the juices cook, right?
@@firetofork yeah, nah... couldn't possibly go there, raw chicken juice touches nothing I eat...
😂😂😂😂 I assume that includes the chicken
That looks absolutely terrible.. whats the go with the soggy bread?
Soggy bread 🤮
Im always distracted by the amount of mouth breathing.
I'm going to be honest with ya. That looks bloody terrible.
Ugly delicious, I can assure you!
